Before anyone ranks, I will reduce back to star. I will edit this post again for Normal.

Timing: Offset sounds a bit early, by about ~10ms? I don't know what happened at around 01:53:76 (1), though. :?

Insane:
The beginning four combos bug me (00:01:19 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4)) - How should I explain? 00:02:91 (1,2) has not the same spacing as 00:03:77 (3,4). If you move 1 and 2 down so it is overlapping 3 and 4, you can see this (they won't entirely overlap exactly). I offer some suggestions for fixing this:
00:03:34 (2) - up1, right1
00:03:77 (3,4) - up1
00:05:05 (2) - up4, right2
00:05:48 (3) - up2, right4
00:06:34 (1,2,3,4) - I'm sure you can figure this one out for yourself. ;P
Well, do what you want, here. I can kind of see what you're doing by giving each deeper angles, or whatever.

imo its a waste of time fixing those 1 grid stuffs. its the editor's fault anyways for having not equal grid on the playfield.

I've been holding onto this map for a long time - thought about uploading it myself when James left but decided I shouldn't since I don't really know James or anything. Nice to see this uploaded again.

I've played the hell out of this map and there's no way I'm not starring this.

Also, that section at 01:53:76 (1) is really bugging because of the timing and such.

Normal is all fixed, About Insane:

00:55:05 (2,3,4,5) - Move all up1. For 2 and 3, also, you have to move them down and left a little (no grid snap) to get the full effect (this is because 1 is also not snapped to grid).
It doesn't look good when I move these notes up 1, so I have find an other way to fix it.
00:55:05 (2,3,4,5) - on the gide
00:54:77 (1) and 00:55:84 (1,2,3) - isn't on the grid now

1:57:19 (1,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - Normal soundset?

hmm its hard to explain really well, but the six-eight time rhythm always go double,
but never start with double at first time. just like galloping, you need one step to jump up, and then go double step jumps.

So the rhythm is start at here : 01:53:48 - at the slider end point, not 01:53:76 (1), and I can't find anyother place to make this 'sound' better, also I have no trouble to hit those notes.

I'll take another look later, when I'm not feeling lazy and listening to awesome Cave Story Remixes. I guess the main problem that's ultimately keeping me from bubbling is that one section with strange timing. I'll look deeper into this matter as well, when I'm running through the beatmap.

EDIT:
Normal:
00:41:05 (5) - Move the middle slider point down1 and right1.
Also, make the first and third timing sections as sc1 (soft custom override 1 soundset).
Insane:
01:35:91 (2) - Snap this onto slider end.
01:36:62 (5,6) - Move this right just a little (grid snap off) so 2--3 and 4--5 are the same distance.
02:42:33 (1) - Place a whistle at the first beat.

Whoop de fucking do it doesn't change the fact that is one of the most absurd difficulty spikes I've seen.

Actually I think it is the most absurd.

I feel bad for just putting that end stream at the end of The Witches Ball. This is like BLARHGLAHGLHRHLGHALHGLH.

Well that's just a dumb way to map.

Especially since normal never gets hard enough to keep me from sleeping.

So I guess people who will enjoy the map is newer players and our good ones.

Also, I am pretty content with this beatmap being for ranks. Just one more play-through before I thought-bubble...

Bcoz the ranking rulz neeed one 4 stars normal difficulty, imo the normal difficulty should be everyone can pass, so that is that.
And the 'fun' map always come with the hard one, that maybe lot of jumps or stream...

Umm, for one thing the official game maps this way. Each section gets progressively harder. Also, the central challenge to this game is to not break your combo, maps generally challenge by attempting to force the player to break their combo. (Either through tiring the player out, or putting surprise jumps half way through).

That said, I've had no issues passing [Insane] on this map. It sure is hard, but insane really should be that way. With some effort, I feel it's FC-able, and the wide jumps really make it fun! (I can't remember needing this much table space for too many maps 8-) )

Al Azif: (Some modding):

I would strongly recommend reducing the drain on Insane. It is a bit too high, and it takes you out of the map just for making a few mistakes. Please reduce it about 2 tick marks!

Oh, well, James can do anything on hidden, he's a master of Hidden mode :)

The custom skin has no problem, my eyes feel just fine, thank you 8-)

I was just surprised at how a couple of slip-ups in Insane made me fail the map so quickly. The fact I could pass it anyway though after a couple tries means to me the level is not too difficult, but I think the drain is pretty tough on this map.

I understand where luke is coming from when he is talking about the difficulty spikes. I read the thread before playing the map so I was semi-expecting it to get hard on my first play of the song, but I actually died. Second time I passed with a pretty poor score.

Insane is fun though, don't get me wrong, I just think it's bordering overkill in terms of difficulty towards the end. Rankable? I think so. That's not the problem at hand. I think a good in-between insane/normal difficulty is required though. Possibly burai's he has in the making?

So I'm curious if burai is still planning on making a map, and that will decide what I'd do with this. For the moment I'm going to +priority as it's a pretty fun map, but as I've said I think it needs a good, fun, more balanced difficulty.

00:16:06 (1,2,3) - This sounds slightly awkward. imo (1) should be at the red tick.
01:53:77 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - Move these back by 1/6. Sounds better. And do something about the slider if you do follow this, since it'll probably end at a 1/6 tick.
01:57:13 (1) - Move the beginning forward by 1/6.
