I think osu! needs an application in-game that can test your clicking speed, there are not many programs like this on the internet so it would be really nice.

I'm just bringing this idea up, discuss.

Go into edit, mash T as fast as possible until you get bored. have fun.
Guujin
Well there are third party programs that do this, but it might be nice for new players that don't know where to find it.
And there are people who can't use programs sometimes.

But I wont see my doubletapping speed that way, right?

Also that program doesn't work for me and is so far the only one I've found that can do such thing.

First had problems downloading it, then I couldn't export it from winrar.

I might just be a retard, anyhow this feature would help a lot imo.

You could just use that console program. It's not like you'll be checking your speed everyday, right? So imo, an in-game implementation for this isn't necessary.

I could recode a prettier console version if it doesn't work. Some time next week I guess.

There's already a bunch of third party apps for this. or whatever they're called.

It would be kind of nice to have an official version.

Most of them are hard to find tho, at least for retarded people like myself who cant use google properly.

Came in hoping this thread was for a BPM calculator in the editor. I leave utterly disappointed that it was something much more pointless.

this will be loved by newbie mappers. Might also reduce nuke maps that gets submitted. Also saves the hassle for those who can't time properly in posting to the forums their song.

Thus I shall look for such requests =]

Edit: unfortunately, this looks hopeless.

I don't know if I understand the OP completely, so you want to enable a feature that calculates how fast you can mash a button to death? How would that information be helpful to you in relation to osu?

You'll know your limit/speed and based on that you can make a training scedule, and you can compare every day's speed to see if you've improved a lot.

Even then, such a feature wouldn't be an accurate reflection of your osu skill. First of all, in order to hit streams on osu, you need to do it with some degree of accuracy while in the such a feature implemented, you can be as inconsistent as you want with your taps. Also, if I wanted to, I could warm up and vibra-mash the keys for one second and get something ridiculous like 20 key taps per second per finger (or 40 tps between two fingers) Which would equate to 2400 taps per minute (I don't know if that equates to "streaming at 2400 bpm" I don't know how taps are in one beat) Anyways, I know for sure I can not stream at 2400 taps per minute on osu, as a matter of fact I suck at streams, I've passed Gold Dust before being able to pass russian snowy dance (a 170 bpm streamy map)

At least it would give some direction on how fast you can stream.

Yes, because I can clearly stream at 2400 taps per minute
(Seriously, did you even read my post?)

People who are trying to seriously measure their speed don't do that vibrating thing.

The best one, since you can keep an eye on how fast you're streaming all the time

well that about closes this thread up wouldn't you think :P
