Yeah, see, before I unlocked counterattack, I eventually started just watching the word Guard and hit it when it lit up. Waiting for it to pop up took too long and sometimes I had no idea who was even being attacked and the camera angles would fuck it up even if I did know. And the sound appears a little bit after the word popped up. But this method doesn't really work that well with counterattack, because now I'm used to just hitting guard the second I see the word light up. Sometimes I'll see Counterattack and hit Guard anyway out of habit. Then if I try to hit counterattack instead, it's not available and I get hit. The timing for some attacks is ridiculous. I don't even have time to hit Guard sometimes, let alone decide whether or not I should hit Counterattack instead.
Also, it's level 6 where you get Moving Command. I think it's optional on the first playthrough, so I will probably skip it cause a friend told me you can change party levels in Encore.
