Star Ocean 4 is awful, make sure you finish Eternal Sonata first.
March is actually really, really good. If you get a good pair of chakrams for her, you should give her a whirl. I know her voice is a little annoying but seriously, she owns. She racks up chains like nobody's business. Though I think that might be me remembering an effect from a specific chakram. Falsetto also owns and is easily my favorite character.
Viola is way fuckin' overpowered though, especially if you can aim her shots across the map. Seriously, her damage output is criminal. My goto boss strategy for like the whole game is send Viola across the map and spam arrow shots into the boss's back or weak spot, whatever.
I think the worst parts of the game is during the parts when everyone is split up and you can't use the party you like. I like the combat system a lot but using characters I don't particularly care for (Beat) is really irritating. Though, by the end of the game, I felt comfortable with pretty much everyone (except Beat).
