It's my birthday, & I want to buy myself something nice.
I couldn't play mania for the longest time because of university, but now that things are calming down I might have some time to get back on track.

I've been using a 30 dollar red dragon which works perfectly fine, I love it, don't get me wrong.

I've just wanted something nicer for the past couple of years, specifically something with rapid trigger.
I like TKL keyboards & normally I'd just go with a wootang if the layout didn't make me want to KMS.
Doesn't mean I won't buy one, I just want to have aesthetics in consideration before throwing my money at something.

So, mania players. What do you recommend?

not a mania player but I would keep pushing with the kb you already have tbh

Do you like a shit ton of vibro? Get a rapid trigger keyboard!

Yeah, you don't need a rapid trigger keyboard. And if you do get one, know that it probably not feel the greatest at first. I think it is different for everyone, but the tapping on those keyboards behave differently. I think it is because they are very sensitive? I forgot.

Anyway, just get linear switches. Well, any switch is fine, but I believe linear to be the "best" for most people.

Fair, if I don't get one it's fine because the current one is perfectly fine anyway haha

it's just, if you already have a mechanical KB, at your skill level, I doubt having a better keyboard is going to really help you at all, you're just burning money

I was considering Linears actually, as I currently use Silver speed switches

For the aesthetics, I'm going for low profile mechanical keyboard soon. What do you need rapid trigger for though, it doesn't really improve your skill I'd say.

Those are linear though

I use a Razer Blackwidow Elite with Razer Yellows, which are linear switches. Otherwise, I'd probably go for a Das Keyboard sort of deal, since I heard they were pretty good.

Thus my point

I use an office keyboard, but I can help.

What do you need rapid trigger for? I mostly see it as a gimmick.
VoidGod
Rapid trigger could be a placebo effect, it doesn’t automatically make you good.

the post was made 40+ days ago. whatever it is, the keyboard is most likely to be bought already

if not then the decision would be sticking with current, which would have been made quite a while ago

membrane keyboard steal from a office make sure its dusty and has lots of hairs stuck in between the keys thats how you know its a good resilient keyboard if theres no hairs then next time you cut your hair do it right on top of your keyboard and also if you want dust just dont wash your hair for like a day or two and start scratching that bitch again directly on top of the keyboard and you will get infinite dandruff glitch
