i really like playing fortnite, which to most people isn't a surprise. to people who haven't played fortnite, you are seriously missing out. most people think that fortnite is just a shitty battle royale game, but fortnite is WAY more than that.

first of all, fortnite has alot of different gamemodes to play. ofc you've got save the world, but you also have all sorts of variations of box fights, like cartoon box fights, kebab box fights, country box fights, the list is endless when it comes to box fights. also, you can battle literally anywhere in the world with zonewars. if you want to you can fight from jamiaca to the literal family guy neighbour hood. like box fights, the list is endless when it comes to zonewars.

but what if you don't feel like fighting other players? well, you don't have to!! you can play RP maps where you can do all sorts of things, like robbing a bank, being a police officer. there's also escape rooms, which you can play with your friends and have loads of fun! there's also a really cool gamemode called spidey up, where you're basically swinging through all sorts of places with spiderman's abilites. just be careful not to fall! there's also an offical Epic Games gamemodes too. For an example, rocket racing where you can race other people using rocket league cars! and, yes, there is a fortnite rythym game called "fortnite festival" where you can basically play osu!mania to normie songs. it's lots of fun to play.

another thing i should mention is just how many characters there are in fortnite. from peely the banana to ariana grande and the weeknd to solid snake to peter griffin, it's pretty much endless to who you could play as in fortnite. i wouldn't be surprised if one day pippi gets into fortnite 0_0

Chapter 5 made it return to being just another shitty battle royale I'm sorry. OG was some of the most fun I've had in my entire life, playing with the boys, Chapter 5 is dogshit, I completed the battle pass and dipped out.

I still have the game installed though, if you ever want to play some box fights or duos. I'm bad at the game though.

The other game modes he mentioned aren't even good, people rarely play them. They're just really shitty roblox games made in fortnite which make sure to spam pop culture references to get all the Gen Alpha's hooked.

Rocket Racing is mid, Lego Fortnite is actually pretty good if you enjoy minecraft (minecraft is boring so I don't like it). Festival songs are so poorly mapped it's insane, just play mania which is better in every single way.

Its too overwhelming now. The interfaces suck and theres just too many weird minigames and other things.

The thing about fortnite is that most people are really tired of the battle royale formula as it has been used in so much fps games

As a battle royale, Fortnite is kind of meh, there isnt really much of a strong hook for me liking and playing the game the most, and in comparison to other BR's such as Apex, i really do prefer Apex gameloop and game play more than Fortnite, as i really tried learning to build in that game, but man it aint for me
Also the ranking system in the game is meh, not really much to warrant me and the people who like grinding for ranks in that game anyways

gamemodes in one game has been here for a while now, one such is Overwatch, pretty similar stuff there too, albiet its more scuffed and less polished, feel its also the same there, RP makes sense (though i will never touch that RP Fornite community...) but the other games, you might as well just play other games instead for that: Play spiderman, if you want to swing around, and play Osu if you want a rhythm game and such
Though i heard good things about Lego fortnite, it kinda died down in popularity in a while, which is another thing i wanna mention, i said before that fortnite has not a strong hook, and after a while of playing, it just feels boring to play, like the only people who probably want to keep playing fortnite for long are: new players who just started, sweats, and people who have friends who constantly play with each other
The new seasonal changes can be fun to try out and such, but man, the season can be so long and boring, that it feels tiring after a while, and i dont have any friends to play with so it becomes less fun to try out
Also seasonal changes became more boring to me, not much fun and such, and i tend to not like certain changes they keep constantly adding, like there would always be this one OP weapon everyone keeps using, which annoys me.

Cosmetics in a game isnt a hook factor to make one like the game...unless of course your that type of guy who keeps spending money on skins....
Like the collabs are cool and all, but really who cares, whats the point of trying out a skins of a character you like if the gameplay sucks, and many games do collabs nowadays too.

Im just so over fortnite now after spending hours and HOURS playing that darn game, its not that fun, only fun when a new season comes or you have friends to play it with, only to never touch the game again after a day of playing
I can see for newer players they might enjoy it and try it out, but yeah... i dont really like it and the gameplay of br's right now.

I played Fortnite in some of its early years, but stopped playing because I deleted my Epic account.

I've never played Fortnite. I've seen some random clips of it every now and then though and generally know what it's about, but I just couldn't get into battle royals. Give me that classic spawn-in on a map deathmatch style FPS instead!

Recently I heard about Fortnite Festival and a new guitar being manufactured for it, and I had to double-take to make sure it was Fortnite they were talking about. Once that arrives and if I can play it with the random RB3 guitar I have, that'll be when I finally try Fortnite :p

I have nothing really against Epic, but I'm kind of disappointed they stopped developing Unreal Tournament to presumably focus on Fortnite. Yeah it makes sense, but UT has history and is my favorite FPS; UT99 with some patches, Vulkan, and extreme textures is great today.

I have played Fortnite on the Chapter 1-2 days and this is where fn really kicked off and had popularity. But as Chapter 3 arrived, i mostly lost interest on this game, as it didn’t feel like the game i supposed to play at that time lol. Lots of sweats playing at that game and it just generally feels like an all in one game nowadays. I feel like it’s slowly being a roblox copycat ngl with their “creative mode 2.0” on having access on the unreal engine.

I do admit that i returned just to play the OG season with my pals and it was very fun and had a blast playing it. I do play fn from time to time but mostly with my friends and rarely alone.

Fortnite is in my opinion very fun with friends nowadays as playing alone doesn’t give the fun as it seems to be. And i cant play fortnite festival as it keeps crashing when i wanted to start lol

Seems kind of silly to delete the entire Epic account just because of that. Epic includes EGS, which gives free games and can be accessed on Linux natively with Heroic launcher.

Another reason is a game I wanted to play is only on EGS, and it basically has to become abandonware for me to even consider playing it. That is PC Building Simulator 2 I'm talking about, as its publisher (or developer) is owned by Epic, therefore, owned by Tencent, and is exclusive to EGS, which is a d#!k move.

I've felt that if I'm using Linux, why would I use Windows too? A VM is a no-go for any game for me, unless it's a damn good game :p I remember using VMware Player on OS X for some games back in the day.

Cloud streaming isn't something I'd mess with for a competitive shooter, regardless of how well it might work. But unless it's free without restrictions I probably wouldn't feel like paying for it any way; I want my games ran locally and don't want to pay for someone else to do it.

I did mess with a Windows gaming server in-house and used Moonlight and Sunshine on Linux hosts which worked pretty well! If I cared enough about Fortnite, I'd be fine with this as a solution.

But the easiest solution for me now is to toss on my Quest 2 and play some Pop1 if I want a Fortnite fix :p
