yeah! that's what i meant to distinguish, maybe ineffectively;; i agree with you, to the effect that it's commonly pretty awkward if you don't have a frame of rationale for that. it can be very definitively distracting and it's not particularly helpful for a reader when that's not something that was anticipated or accepted :/Patatitta wrote:

Tagalog literature (originally written in English) also does the same thing, and imo it's a really effective way of getting me more immersed and connected to the (Filipino) setting (which is distinct from using Tagalog words interlaced in dialogue, which just tells me that the characters are Filipino)

Danny Smoke in Furry Land
I know you're trolling with this request and you tried to request the worst thing you could, but this unironically was so fucking funny
it's a furry fanime told in youtube shorts, the art is fucking awful, so is the plot, and the characters, but it's so bad it loops back around and it's good
of course this isn't nearly as good as a proper parody comedy series like garth merenghi's darkplace or even nyan neko sugar girls which yes i'm putting at the same level as darkplace, but it unironically understands their medium and audience well
this series is improved by the fact that are youtube shorts, as it's built with that idea in mind, there are multiple gags that involve it being youtube shorts, like the intense action part that just randomly has subway surfers in the bottom half, this is even better considering that this is both the shortest part and an action scene, which are normally supposed to be the more engaging part of these type of stories
the fucking arc where they get called gay and they transform into a super powerful being out of rage and unleash a shockwave of pure straight power that nearly resets the universe is good, same with the latest part (23) which i'm not spoiling but it's a banger joke too
I don't know if I should place this on the tier list as it feels like it would be an insult to everyone else to put it as high, but it would probably land between A and B, it's unironically good
