They don't hate Linux, they just don't care. 99% of people play on Windows (or Mac if they hate themselves) so from a business perspective it makes no sense to support Linux.Neigdoig wrote:

But here’s the thing, Vanguard anti cheat isnt that effective in detecting cheaters, while it does have less cheaters compared to other games, in the game Valorant, there are still some cheaters from time to time both in high and low ranks.Anaxii wrote:

EVEN in the pro competitive scene, people are just only getting caught mid tournament that they were using cheats, even though the anti cheat is running it still didnt detect the cheats
and man, there are things Vanguard does in your system that some, dont really like… i wont go too deep in that as its pretty hard to explain and its easy to search about it, but it can cause funny bugs to my PC…

I've never played League, which is actually a good thing knowing how toxic it is. I won't play Valo either for the same reason.
Oh, and Vanguard isn't just an anti-cheat. It's an invasive rootkit that can (and will) be hacked by bad actors who want nothing more than valuable data you send to Tencent.
Also, in terms of Linux nonsense, what Tencent does with Linux users is actually very hateful, as it had been well documented the utter neglect Tencent has for Linux people like myself. In my humble opinion, this isn't the fault of Riot, but Tencent instead.

I couldn't play League and Valo anyway, since they both have this rootkit now. I don't tend to play MOBA's, but I do like my FPS games. Thankfully, I'm not playing Valo, since that's toxic as can be.

Good thing Dota 2 has a native Linux version still and is superior anyway :p
Battle.net client being broken since early December is way more interesting to me, or at least it was before just going back to 10 LTSC where stuff just-works and WSL.
