some leaks are fine, but it must suck though to be a game dev and have stuff leaked, like hyping up future content with an upcoming trailer and such, only for it be leaked early, killing all the hype and people knowing what the content is.Patatitta wrote:

being honest, hype is used a lot to take advantage of the customer. If we can see actual gameplay, we know that we're not being ripped off, because if the game dev had total control on what it was shown, there wouldn't be any gameplay. Just look a trailers nowadays, they barely show anything on how the game acutal is. Leaks are a way for us to fight back a little bit against the hype and see how the actual game is, not what the dev wants to say it is.Hydreigon wrote:

It's true that it must suck for a game dev, however, most game dev nowadays is kinda made with the idea of leaks happening. They're not unaware, they also acknowledge datamining and leave little secrets, game devs have adapted to leaks, so I really doubt that someone would really be that affected by a leak
