In worse cases we should make it a bannable offense as well
So, let's take a look at the Visual Content Considerations linked above:Beatmap submission rules wrote:
4. Follow the Song Content Rules and Visual Content Considerations.
There are more entries on the actual list, but these three cover the topic of the proposal.Visual Content Considerations wrote:
Images or visual elements containing any of the following are not allowed:
- significant sexual innuendo
- sexual posturing or solicitation
- erotic content or graphic displays of sexuality

If after several infringements you continue to break the rules, your account may be permanently and irrevocably restricted.
Just to clarify here, explicit tag only applies to song content, and not backgrounds, videos, diff names, etc as those are things that can be changed to fit within osu's general rules. So an inappropriate background is still not allowed on maps containing the explicit tag.dPeace wrote:
ok ok you're talking about suggestive bg, yeah i don't think it should be on maps without an explicit marker but on maps that have one, it's not a big deal imo
The rule is enforced. Usually a background gets to content review by the time a BN comes to check the map, and if not, they're often reported while in the qualified stage or self-reported by mappers who are unsure if it's borderline or not to undergo content review.adim2222 wrote:
Be honest how well do you think this rule is enforced, especially when the staff are talking about a "too scary" bg for the recent halloween event suggesting that the younger demographic of players are like 10
yes i know about the real purpose for explicit tags, i just feel like if you're already using an explicit song then you should be allowed to use explicit bg too, like the website even hide all explicit maps's bg currently if you don't wanna see explicit map so i don't understand why it's gonna be an issue (unless the bg is literal porn or sth).Protastic101 wrote:

Whether for rank or not, some carefree people might have reported "suggestive / too scary bg" to Content Review, recent graveyarded maps had attention for it than older (like year / more) graveyarded maps.Protastic101 wrote:

Feel free to DM me (or any other GMT/NAT) links to this content and we'll raise it for removal, especially the former.AnimeStyle wrote:

Stuff like loli cooch outline getting ranked and never removed or itty bitty big tiddy swimsuit cleavage thats bigger than her head is no bueno.
There is a large demographic of quite young users on our platform, as is the case for everywhere on the internet these days. On top of that, people's tolerances for visually disturbing or "spooky" content is huge across the board, and it's almost always better to err on the safer side of things when sharing content with a large audience.adim2222 wrote:
