Okay, I'll add easier maps to the list >.<
I like the suggested map pool. It doesn't especially favor one group of CtB specialists (SS dudes, droplet dudes, spinner dudes, tag4 dudes). Making the map pool so it would have relatively easy maps will be unfair for spinner-weak players.
P.S.: hoping to see more rules about deciding map set (elimination system? choose before play?).

Well just to leave some feedback there's info about elimination system:
AFAIR it was used in Starcraft II GSL Tourneys. There players competing in Bo3 (best of free - fight for two wins) were presented with map pool consisting of 7 maps. They were asked to eliminate two maps each they don't feel like playing. It's important to note they don't know each others' decision. After elimination, map pool got reduced from 7 to 3 maps (if elimination decisions overlapped, maps were taken off randomly).
+ both teams are guaranteed to learn those three maps good because their elimination choices mean they must prepare for 5 maps
+ it's guaranteed that there's no 3rd map that's biased towards any of the team (to some extent that is :->)
+ maps that are ridicolously biased towards one team are sure to be eliminated by their rivals (ofc if they are aware of it <-;)

It's more than obvious you won't satisfy everyone's expectations and will make a map pools that favors some of teams. I'm hoping ppl, who really care, will try to nullify their disadvantages rather than do nasty stuff ^^.

Here's the situation, the song is hard enough at one part and all the players fail simultaneously. But one player, due to web delay, is considered not fail at that moment. This will lead the team with lag win even they have lower total score, but in fact, they should lose.
How can these kind of cases be handled, just ignore it due to the low possibility?

Official 1st round song list would be released the Monday before the 1st round begins.
If matches were to start on friday, song list would be out on monday. (EXAMPLE!)

A lot right people Brackets are UP!!!
And don't you dare complain, this was divided up into continents (one random Asian team to be sent to the European side to make it balance. Anything regarding THIS please forum PM) and done RANDOMLY!

Luck is the other name of skill. Weezy could've chosen the poll regarding maps:
-> with ridiculous jumps
-> ninja spinners
-> with distance snap making you play half-dash half-walk during all the time
-> hidden mod
-> too many spinners
My point being everyone is specialist in other kinds of map.

I'll be training maps from map pool too since other teams have spinner, droplet and playcount advantage. The winner will be the team with more points :->.
Regarding all kinds of maps (jump maps, spinner maps, TAG4 maps and all other kinds): the more you play them the better you get at them. Don't call TAG4 maps lucky, cos for me spinners are more random than TAG4 (I'm totally honest). Just gotta play them spinners more to turn random skill into routine skill.

TAG4 are prolly the most complete maps that exist... They have ridiculous jumps, streams, some impossible parts...
On the other hand, only 4 people would reach the Final Round, so it's fair to include 1 or 2 TAG4 there, as they'll be the best players of the tourney I think they wouldn't mind

Luck exists in every try for every map. How to make yourself lucky in one map is also a kind of skill. I can see VelperK and Krzysiek take great effort in TAG4 maps. They worth the skill, not so called luck. For the match, I'm free for tag4 maps, if they are available, just pratice to try to make yourself lucky in the match.Emaal wrote:
