The best I've been to is Japan, extremely fun place to hang around in, their language is so beautiful and the historic and cultural elements were top notch gorgeous. I also loved the arcades, they made it easy to have cheap fun when you had nothing else to do, and the vending machines and konbinis were super convenient for getting pre-prepared meals and drinks super easily, something we don't really have in Finland. However I do love my homecountry for its climate and nature and it's much easier to live here for a number of reasons, free healthcare, free schools etc.

What would you do if you knew you only had 24 hours to live?
Achromalia
honestly, it's still quite a tough situation to be in. only so much could be done.

with things as they are now, i'd try to get in touch with friends and all, and get straight to work on music and art for the game i'm working on for my team.

i'll try to get as much done as i reasonably can to leave them off with as many useful assets for the game, so they can show it off and make something fucking amazing for others to experience.

i wish i could make my animation series, but sadly, i can't realistically do anything there within that scenario. so, my dreams there are a bit crushed.

oh dear the wave of sadness is heavy on this one... this is depressing...

i don't think i would have time to do what i would do anyways... all i can do due to how much my mood would have been affected is be depressed. i would have been in tears, staring at the wall...

i would be trying my best to have fun on the last day of my life, but i feel like it is all gonna hurt in the end. me dying already affects my family very badly. that would be in my mind... it wouldn't make me do what i want to do for the last day... it would be what killed my mood...

worse part would be that i barely did much imo, i am too young for this... it makes my life kind of useless to me... all because i barely did much in this world.

so even if i would do anything, just... anything to make a good impact, my mood is going to be killed first which ends up ruining the last day of my life...

i just... dont like it... i don't want to leave this world yet in such a young age... i want to grow and achieve...

how was your childhood?
Tateshina Eve
Alright I guess, as one could expect I'd be more carefree than nowadays. Parents took real good care of me, can't remember much beyond that. What defines your feelings about childhood are probably so vague to you now. Since I'm not able to provide a more insightful answer, I would like to pass down this same question to the next person.
Achromalia
A person's childhood can vary greatly, and can dramatically shape you into who you've likely become. There's quite a bit you can judge it by, but it's not quite all that easy all the time, so, eh.

On my end, my childhood was... comparably nicer than things are now.

Everything afterwards has been hell, and nothing less.

Not exaggerating, but my childhood is exactly identical to those shitty korean drama TV shows (minus the last part where the main villains either die or get thrown in jail, and the part that the third wheel is a bad guy/girl). It’s both funny and kinda emotionally exhausted for me at the same time

Have you ever lived in a dorm
samX500
My childhood was pretty unventfull. Back when I was in primary school, I remember being very dumb and I truly hate how I used to be. In this time I would try to get friend and try to conform to other's people taste to get any. I only really had one close friend who I knew from childhood, as well as two other friend whom I met up with less often.

Then I moved from my small town to the big city of Quebec. At my new school I still tried to find friend and I managed to get into a group of friend, but later in the year I caused an event that made me loose all of my friend. After that I have never had any close relationship and gradually lost interest in getting relationship up until I didn't want any anymore. My school grade were also very bad back then, I only barely passed in every category, which is extremely bad for primary school, where it is very easy fo succeed.

A new chapter opened in my life when I entered secondary school and was able to reset to zero. There I was put in a class for people who didn't have good grade aka a dumb kids class since my grade in primary school were so terrible. My grade went up dramatically after that, probably because in that time all I ever did was school and watching video on youtube, I didn't have any friend and didn't try to find any. There was a small group of people whom I often met but we weren't really close friend. We just met up at lunch time.

Then came my third year of secondary school. I had also switched school at that time because my previous school only supported the two first year of secondary school. In this school I was put back in a normal class since my grade had improved. At this school, I decided to join a team of robotics where as a team, we must build a robot that can compete in a game. This was the single best thing that ever happened to me in my entire life.

At that point I changed a lot. In the first year of robotics I didn't do much, if at all but on the second year is where my life changed. I decided to join the programming team of robotics, since I wasn't really good at building and I thought it might be cool to learn what programming was. I also met up with a lot of people who watched anime. They told me to watch anime and I did, anime later became on of the greatest learning experience I ever got so the fact that I decided to start watching it frmo the robotics team just adds to its value. In robotics I ahve learned how to socialise, I get interested in programming, I discovered anime. It was the greatest thing that happened to me.

At the same time as my fourth year of secondary school (aka second year of robotics). I kinda got fed up with french and decided to only use my computer in english from that point on. That also changed me a lot. Not only did I become proficient in english, but that fact also got me closer to the internet culture. Above all, being close to the internet culture introduced me to nightcore music. Before, I thought that music was cringy and didn't listen to it, I remnant of the time where I would try to get friend by adapting my taste to theirs. But since I was now in a very intimate situation, I felt happy to try out music for the very first time. Nightcore was what introduced me to both music as a whle but also anime (I was already interested in anime before my friend told me about it, they just kinda guided me into the medium). I ahve now moved on from nightcore music, only listening to my old nightcore which I still like from that time, but the impact they had on me was massive.

This summer was also very important to me. It's where I coded my first proper project, it's when I realised that anime had actually taught me life lesson, it's where I left my first job after 3 years of working there, it's where I was first truly hearthborken and it's where I finally will start to learn an instrument.

Very uneventful until elementary school. I liked the time in school, until I started getting bullied. I spent most of my time on YouTube during its early years and had a fairly popular Pokémon Diamond walkthrough channel, lol. I don't remember many details about my childhood. As I said, it was pretty uneventful. Never had a dad and my mom never wanted to do anything fun. She was just strict, but in a wrong way. Spent all my time outdoors alone with my headphones on, as I wasn't even allowed to use the computer for more than an hour per day until I finally got my own laptop. That's about it.

What would your death row last meal be like?
Achromalia
the same frozen burritos i've heated up from the store, preferably the El Monterey brand.

a tub of vanilla ice cream.

a box of Bacon flavored Ritz crackers.

a bag of Carmen's, a fairly obscure brand of wheat chips,

and a bag of Doritos Dinamita chips.

that's about it.

I'd eat as much of it as I'd be comfortable with.

I can't do much of anything in that situation, so nothing i do there really has much of an impact, so the foods up there are about as ambitious as i'd get, as i like them quite a bit.

What do you enjoy the most about school?
samX500
The reason why I like school is because exam to me feel like challenge to overcome. The teacher hands you over the resources you need and you need to use your mind to beat the challenge. I am a pretty competitive person but there is almost nothing I can compete in with just my ability to quickly learn new concept. To me school feels like a competition and since I have never had an hobby, it never felt like it was eating away at anything so I was fully commited to it.

Depends on what it is. But generally, I prefer physical.
Digitalization of information is convenient, but they can disappear without warning one day and you can't do anything about it.

Same question.
Tateshina Eve
Both cases can disappear just as easily, though. As Tad said, it's all about the context. Currently, most examinations are taken in physical pen and paper, but they may be translated to digitized editions in the near future. For my school notes, I get printed copies and they're also posted online, but I prefer being able to write notes on paper. For writing essays, typing is more efficient than writing with a pen. These are just a few of the many cases we may need to consider.

Any particular games you've cherished in your childhood?
Birdy
Spyro the Dragon has been my favourite video game as long as I can remember, and it still is. During my early teenage years when games such as Pokémon Diamond and New Super Mario Bros. were released, the time and effort I put into those started rivalling with Spyro the Dragon for the first spot (it was easy to carry them around on handheld consoles), but they never quite took the first spot home. Even now it's much easier for me to just pick up Spyro whenever and play through it, probably one reason being that it only takes a couple of hours to beat it 100%, while the other two take a bare minimum of 2 days to "complete", a lot longer if you're going for 100%.

So, in short, Spyro the Dragon, which is still my favourite game of all time.

1. how about a rhythm-based bullet hell shooter or platformer? better yet, A RHYTHMIC DANMAKU PUZZLE GAME.

Not sure if that would interest you but personally, I think that coding physics is very interesting, as you have to adapt the laws and equations you have studied into a more concrete settings and it also helps you understand physics better. So if I wanted to code a game I would ask myself. What physical concept do I find interesting? And then I would find a way to make a game out of it.

Another idea that might be worth checking out would be board game. Those can offer you different challenge than what physics can offer since they are about game rule instead of equations, so you need to find a way to code whatever rule the game has. Just picking an already existing game is the easiest idea but if you really want to, you could come up with your own set of rule which you feel would be interesting to translate into code.

3. a game based on optical illusions and spacial awareness, requiring the player to know their character speed and stuff to figure out where they likely are, as well as visual cues and stuff. a simple platformer will do. bring in a story too, if you'd like.

if it's not sufficient, feel free to ask again.

HOLY SHIT.

THE ABSOLUTE SAME.

so i've got a similar problem, and i tend to throw on every bit of work i can do while i'm still at school. i used to stay after-school in one of my previous high schools, in the classroom of a pretty interesting art teacher i knew, in order to work on my art projects. sadly, i had forgotten to reclaim them before i left the school due to moving out of my old home, back when it got sold. it frustrated me, as i was really proud of my charcoal piece.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Yes and that’s why even tho I don’t look like it, I’m self-concious all the time

I think it's only natural to have such questions.
I'd suppose everyone would wonder the same thing from time to time, even if they don't really care what others think of them.

Which philosophy do you follow, believe or is interested in?
Birdy
John Locke is my personal favourite philosopher. Empiricism used to be my #1 interest while studying philosophy and I strongly "follow" it. I also like Plato.

A fair question. I had an interest in philosophy, but was not exactly very serious about it. I never purchased any books to read up and research on it, and hardly spent much time going through everything, and I'd mostly delved into its more existential "answers", in a sense.

I think I had mostly sympathized with the ideas set in Absurdism.

Hmm. I glanced at it again and found something that sounded rather similar to my thought process when I escaped my own thoughts of suicide.

I had thought that "As pointless as life may seem, death would be even more pointless".

In the New World Encyclopedia's entry for Absurdism, it eventually says: "...suicide is not a worthwhile solution because if life is veritably absurd, then it is even more absurd to counteract it...", and "...the beauty that people encounter in life makes it worth living. People may create meaning in their own lives, which may not be the objective meaning of life but still provides something for which to strive".

So, yeah. It seems to describe my thoughts pretty well at times, but I should look into things more seriously at some point.

A large part of why I live, after all, is to create, and whether it be some sort of meaning for myself, or perhaps some solace for others to find, even something for me immerse myself in, it's all enjoyable.

I strive to create, and to see how things turn out.

i'm really interested about Nietzsche.
I haven't own any of his books yet since I'm poor atm but I've read about him.
Though it's a shame how he's been misquoted and his philosophies were misunderstood. The prime example of this is how he was misquoted by the Nazis in WW2 to further their ideals.

I think of myself as an utalitarian dabbling in social darwinism, although I find most philosophy highly interesting. I would love to own more classical works. Right now, I'm thinking I might try to grab some of Gilles Deleuze's work.

How do you view yourself now compared to 5 years ago?
Cahyono29

my view to myself compared to 5 years ago feels like a whole different story... i view myself as a main character... see myself on top of everyone else, perfect... i view myself as the perfect human, the best... my ego is so horrifying i would say anything even though it would hurt people so badly... that was who i was back then... and that was the final year that personality of mine is extremely visible, yeah it went on throughout my young days.

my view to myself now is a huge change compared to the past, yes i still see myself above people sometimes, but its not that extreme. that is because my ego went down so quickly, in just a few months after going to a different country, my ego dropped so hard that it even got my social skills with it. that caused my view of myself to change, i now see myself as a someone... nothing special... sometimes even lower than that... i don't want to achieve what my past self wanted, perfection... its impossible...

i'm just glad i didn't find this place when my ego was high... i would've been a nightmare to deal with...

I view myself extremely differently. 5 years ago I didn't do anything at all with my life, I wasn't practicing any activities, meeting up with people or even consuming art. All I did was mindlessly watch youtube video, and not valuable entertainement, really just dumb video with no value other than immediate self satisfaction.

I personally consider myself to have been born 4 years ago, as that was the time where I finally started to do something with my life.

This question may be more interesting to answer in another 5 years. I've already changed massively in just those 4 years and I see no reason why I would stop changing and improving myself.

I don't even know myself from 5 years ago. Being thrown out of home 4 years ago was when the current me was born. I eventually became more functional, graduated from high school a couple months later and got my first jobs and such. Started releasing some music I'm still happy with, I guess I started being, you know, decent at it. Got together with my girlfriend half a year later and moved together with her another half a year later. Stuff that I had never had any experience with before. Growing up might be scary to some, but for me, it saved my life. I didn't have to live with an unstable mom anymore or sleep on a friend's floor for too long.

"17", so when I was goofing around when I should have cared about my high school graduation coming next year...
I guess I was an idiot at that point. Easy to say.
That wasn't a proper answer, now that I read the question.
But given what I said, it's obvious I can say "better than this boy".

What's a joke (or a "meme", but not a prank) you enjoy?
(I'm not asking the type of humor, but an actual joke you've read/heard from anywhere. Like these.)

"What did the Spanish guy say to the other Spanish guy?"
"I don't know, I don't speak Spanish"
