Type: GD Song: YURiKA - Futari no Hane (TV Size) Diff: Hard or Insane Notice: Just submitted the map without mapping it lol but you can know my mapping style by looking my ranked maps don't have a defined deadline but would prefer to not delay much
To me, modding is a way of seeing others viewpoints of things and allows you to see mistakes you may have missed initially. It's also a way of feedback that allows you to improve on your mapping in the future.

song: FunfunFun & Yunomi - One Night Magic (android 52 remix) diff : hard/3*
notice : i will finish the normal sometime this week, so i'd like to have the hard difficulty by friday. / i do understand you are not excited of mapping hard difficulties however since the song is low bpm a hard difficulty wouldn't be leaving out many prominent beats as a high bpm hard would, so it wouldn't be as boring to map.
modding is a way to dilute your original mapping intentions with outside opinions just bec the system said so is gathering help to improve one's map from multiple mapping perspectives
Type: NM Song: LiSA - crossing field (TV Size) Diff: (diff need to be modded/ mapped) Notice: For me modding is helping others to get better in mapping and also learning more about mapping yourself
I don't need a mod but I'm gonna answer your question: No, in my opinion following the ranking criteria is not enough for a map to get ranked. Map quality can't be measured by establishing rules and guidelines, that aspect needs to be considered by modders and BNs on a case-by-case basis. Only good maps should be ranked obviously, the ranking criteria only makes sure that a map is playable and has certain standards etc.
Type: NM Song: Hironobu Kageyama - Battle of Omega Diff: the higher the better (but if you could do easy as well that'd be awsome bc I've just remapped it) Notice: pretty cool q you have here Thanks
My answer is obviously no (I've already gone through so much of this). Even if map is rankable it doesn't mean it's 'nominatable'. It's far more harder to achieve the latter state. I guess there are some extra rules or guidelines that map must stick to. Skills to apply to such rules come from experience, from mentorship programs (never got picked tho ), from studying other maps and from pishi's videos.

Notice: Easy is being remapped, don't do pls
My answer would have to be no, because the ranking criteria only acts as a guide for maps. osu! is a game that promotes user-created content, and so the content needs to have more than just what an abstract list of rules and guidelines states it must do or contain.
Answer: No. Following all RC is just the premise for ranking a map. A map whether can be ranked depends on its quality, but RC can't judge that. So we need lots of modders and bn mod a map to judge and help improve the quality.
answer: no, because "bn" status doesn't always relate to actual modding experience. modding overall is about improving the map so it can whether be regular experienced mapper or nominator with longstanding contribution - bn/non bn modding remains with the same intentions,
an actual difference between both of them is that in certain cases bn is obliged to ensure if map is ready to be ranked or not through his mods when it comes to ranking process.

It's a 5 min map so just 1 diff
----------------------------------
and no, doesnt mean theyre in a different status doesn't mean they have different skills in modding!
So NO
---------------------- Well, there are modders out there that aren't bns with a lot of experience But there's also the fact that BN mods have more "weight" to them
