modding is a way to dilute your original mapping intentions with outside opinions just bec the system said so is gathering help to improve one's map from multiple mapping perspectives

I am thinking on a question:

Without breaking ranking criteria, maps are rankable.
So, is rankable map means it can be ranked? (and reason?)

Could I know your view on this question?

tbh almost anything is rankable nowadays, with enough effort at least, but it's up to the mapper to actually get it ranked!

I don't need a mod but I'm gonna answer your question: No, in my opinion following the ranking criteria is not enough for a map to get ranked. Map quality can't be measured by establishing rules and guidelines, that aspect needs to be considered by modders and BNs on a case-by-case basis. Only good maps should be ranked obviously, the ranking criteria only makes sure that a map is playable and has certain standards etc.

My answer is obviously no (I've already gone through so much of this). Even if map is rankable it doesn't mean it's 'nominatable'. It's far more harder to achieve the latter state. I guess there are some extra rules or guidelines that map must stick to. Skills to apply to such rules come from experience, from mentorship programs (never got picked tho :( ), from studying other maps and from pishi's videos.

Here's an answer from a QAT member why one of my maps didn't get nominated

My answer would have to be no, because the ranking criteria only acts as a guide for maps. osu! is a game that promotes user-created content, and so the content needs to have more than just what an abstract list of rules and guidelines states it must do or contain.

Answer: No. Following all RC is just the premise for ranking a map. A map whether can be ranked depends on its quality, but RC can't judge that. So we need lots of modders and bn mod a map to judge and help improve the quality.

answer: no, because "bn" status doesn't always relate to actual modding experience. modding overall is about improving the map so it can whether be regular experienced mapper or nominator with longstanding contribution - bn/non bn modding remains with the same intentions,
but
an actual difference between both of them is that in certain cases bn is obliged to ensure if map is ready to be ranked or not through his mods when it comes to ranking process.

But there's also the fact that BN mods have more "weight" to them
