The question is, if Peppy implemented some methods to gather statistics like this, even if they are invisible for players.
If he already did, this could make things much easier, but he could also not to, which could probably make impossible to tell: how long the current players already played, up to now?
It would be a nice statistic to have, but if it was to be true from some fixed date, like: 1-st February 2016, this should be clearly stated.
We must to take into consideration, that if we were to start counting the time from now, then overall time ranking would be false, especially for at least few years
Still, even knowing how much I played this week / month / year would be great, so I am definitely supporting this idea! but no stars this time, I am too poor in them for now:(

The only thing I'm worried about is that it's probably not possible to see how much you've played BEFORE this feature may be introduced. Ofc it's still good for new players and still better than nothing, but I just wanted to point that out (You've got my star).
This suggestion was 3 years ago and they still havent implemented it ;-;

I'm with that, +1, see total time its not neccessary but we all would like to see this in-game or just on the profile website

tested this on myself and some "famous" players. seems to work. of course i don't know whether the calculations are 100% accurate but it's at least something i guess.

It would be nice, but I don't think it would count the time we've spent up until now... T^T +4 anyways, hope and believe~
Oh yeah i really want to see how much time of my life i spent into this game. This is one of the things what i love about Steam. To see how f*cking hopeless my life is

Counts total seconds actually spent playing a map (including breaks). Calculated retroactively, factoring in retries, exits and passes to roughly 95% accuracy.

Wow, nice to see such feature. I assume it's not counting unranked maps. If I have 715 hours currently on ranked maps and I spent three times more than this playing unranked maps... I think I should really stop, haha.
I don't know how accurate this is, nor how exactly it calculates play time, but pretty neat nonetheless.
I can only guess it fetches all the difficulties you have played and sums up their total drain time, but no idea how it handles retried plays before it was implemented (might be calculating from now on). That would make sense, since people with the most ranks have huge playing time.
WubWoofWolf for example, with14916 ranks (SS/S/A) has 3,749 hours, and kevin3333g (taiko) has 20944 ranks and 3,634 hours.
