For me it's so far been play less tbh. I play a lot (I played like, 5 hours each day for the last two days) but before this I had a 10 days break.
So basically, play less but play more.
My improvement happens like this:
Mine is quite entertaining as you can literally see this progress on my pp graph. Every plateau is a rest taken. If you see my historical amount of plays graph, you guys can see I actually play less over time but I'm making more progress than ever.
I used to just play more and more until I could not fc anything despite playing a lot of maps and feeling like shit. Now if I can't fc anything, I rest, I come back, I improve. This is a really weird method because I barely play anything but it works for me.
Any weird methods you guys have, feel free to share
So basically, play less but play more.
My improvement happens like this:
- find a comfortable SR
- play a lot, fc a lot - gain huge amounts of pp
- go down the list by difficulty
- start getting As and sometimes B
- stop gaining pp, no matter how hard I try around my comfort zone I get 1 fc per 30+ maps tried
- play maps that are around 0.5+* above my comfort zone
- rest for a week or two (minimum three days)
- come back, start on highest comfortable SR before rest
- go back to #1 on list
