9
you might want to point out that your level system is following with how cytus does things - id argue people will complain how the jump between 8 and 9 is so massive even though cytus rates that lmao freedom why chart as 9 -
oh I should've added in the description when I changed the source from Cytus to BMSi honestly think OD 6 would work here - not tooo hard but still puts on a challenge -
My intention was to emphasize actually reading and hitting the LNs over accurately timing/releasing the LNs so I tried to keep the OD low and HP high. I'll see what other people think as well though.00:27:775 (27775|3,27775|2,28056|2,28056|3,28337|2,28337|3) - i cant help but notice that this part was quite right-hand biased - all the jumps landed on the 34 columns
00:28:056 - 00:28:337 - id rather you have these jumps be separate from 00:27:775 - since theyre both bass beats and the latter one is a snare
something like this you can stick to something similar to this when it comes to the don kat don don kat thing for the whole section - i personally think the patterning itself will shine through especially within the walls (simplified the LNs but i think it shouldnt be too hard to invert these things)
00:29:181 - 00:29:275 - for sections like these you can just disregard the preceding 00:29:181 - don and just keep with the kat don don kat pattern
-
Reworked (or at least tried to rework) the entire section to make it favor neither hand by changing the hand the jumps are on occasionally. However I decided to keep the kicks right before the snares as it felt weird to not include them.00:29:650 - anchor on 3 is pretty meh
00:32:087 - anchor on 3 again
00:33:775 - the 1[23] 4 pattern gets a little bit repetitious after a while here
00:35:181 - same patterning as above, also a little bit repetitious
everything listed above can be kinda(?) resolved with my suggestion in the box, but if you choose not to do whatever i asked then these things should still be fixed either way tbh -
Yep, pretty much all fixed 00:39:400 - the jacks in this section dont seem to be following anything pre-defined in the music? i mean i can see how they follow some sort of pattern (although 00:41:837 (41837|0,41931|3) - isnt jacked and 00:43:431 (43431|1,43525|1) - is before the jump not after and 00:43:431 (43431|1,43525|1,44087|0,44181|2) - isnt jacked and 00:44:931 (44931|2,45025|2) - is before the jump not after) but yeah i think you get what i mean
think its better if you were to just follow the percussion here mainly -
The jacks were originally placed just to avoid anchors; it should have no pattern, i think. But now that I think of it it might be good to put an actual meaning behind the jacks. Rearranged them all to create jacks at snares and strings00:55:993 (55993|0,56743|0) - having the LNs be in the same place is boring
I rearranged the notes to have a different LN position. But in a different way to have the earlier LN at a different column from the one before.00:57:587 (57587|1,57587|2,57681|0) - the jack should be between the two notes not 00:57:681 (57681|0,57775|0) - here; the main beat is on the 1/2 tick and the resonance follows along at 1/4
00:58:056 (58056|3,58056|1,58056|2,58150|0) - same as above, this applies to the whole section
00:59:087 - dont think theres any harm in doubling this for consistency
Rearranged the entire section to be more consistent with the jacks and chords. I decided to put a 1/4 stream (hihat) as a base, add an extra note for each trumpet (or string?) sound with a jack right after, and add an additional note for each kick/snare.00:59:837 - the beats only start at this point so the LNs too should start from here -
applied01:03:400 - i personally think that the slowdowns/speedups here can flow better if you were to break them up into 1/8s - its kinda jittery as of now which i guess makes sense given the music but then again you have LNs in this section which makes things slightly aggravating if you mistime the jacks - 01:04:618 - perhaps the SV from here till the triple is the one that should be the smoother one since youre leading into the next portion of the LNs and not micmicking the bopbopbopbopbop pianoin the music -
I actually had even choppier SV during the initial stages of this map as I wanted to emphasize what I felt from the piano. Additionally, the current SVs should be readable for most unless the scroll speed is high enough to be unable to fit a measure in the screen (the SVs average to 1x and the largest SV section is a single measure long.) In fact I actually deem the current SVs in this section slightly too small in magnitude to be noticeable. The SVs on parts without the bopbopbop thing thing, however, has been removed.01:10:150 (70150|0,70150|3,70243|3,70243|0) - different pitch from 01:10:525 (70525|3,70525|0,70618|3,70618|0) - 01:09:775 (69775|0,69775|3,69868|0,69868|3) - these two similar ones
-
Rearranged but in a different way to follow pitch better.01:11:650 (71650|3,71650|2,71743|2,71743|3) - maybe you should save the [12] and [34] jumpjacks for the beginning portion of this section - kinda like a build up in intensity from [12] wristjacks to [14] or [13] stuff -
I feel that the intensity (woo subjective) stays mostly constant this whole section so I'd like to keep the same jumpjacks throughout it.01:14:275 - whyd you skip this tick? -
by accident 01:15:775 - anchor on 2
i definitely think the chorus is pretty biased to the right hand
a simple excerpt of the chorus portion simplified most of the jumps involve the right 3 columns and the 2 note anchors always seem to land on the right hand - i think you should remodel this section better since my right hand does feel the tension playing this chart and this excerpt only seems to verify my suspicion - if you need help in checking the portion and seeing how to plays and whatever you can always hmu online
-
Actually, about this section, the jumps are all based on the main melody, and is arranged somewhat with pitch relevancy in mind. Image reference. The anchor is actually caused by a misplaced note (which I moved.)01:25:150 - anchor on 2
01:25:900 - anchor on 3
honestly the two above are somewhat understandable - they mirror each other and honestly it doesnt bug me as much as the other anchors i pointed out -
Removed them anyway since it's probably better without them. 01:27:400 - maybe you can look into having the triple be on [234]? since i feel like ive yet to seen that kind of thing -
It represented the crash and signified the start of the violin lead but I guess it kinda creates weird anchors.01:27:025 - anchor on 1, 01:27:400 - anchor on 3 with 3434 trill - think these are fine too, the trill seems alright to me given how it enters into another section -
removed with the removal of the triple.01:27:962 - why isnt there a double here? there are synths -
ouch somehow missed that01:29:181 - ^^^, guessing the double from 01:29:368 - is on the wrong tick -
Fixed01:29:462 - no double either -
Now there are01:29:650 - also theres this trill on 121 -
Fixed01:30:400 (90400|1) - honestly speaking the LN masks 01:30:681 (90681|3,90681|0) - these jacks quite a bit and are a little bit annoying considering how i just exited an LN wall -
It feels empty without them tho I'll see if others point this out as well01:43:712 (103712|0,103900|1) - same tick ticks so same columns? -
Moved 01:43:900 (103900|1) - to 101:45:493 - 01:45:587 - if im not wrong one or more of these ticks should have a note considering patterns after 01:46:900 -
Tried to find whatever sounds I missed but wao those sounds are tiny 01:52:150 - 01:53:650 - these should work much better if theyre triples -
I guesswould be funny if you mapped the ending piano notes all to one column to pay homage to the cytus chart -
will do xdddd jokes aside I actually made this an LN map cuz hitting the drag notes in the Cytus chart felt like hitting LN walls. It could be just me tho
