m4m (from modreq)

General
00:30:740 - 00:46:100 - why have the kiai here when the song gets louder after the kiai ends? i would put the kiai here 01:01:460 - 01:16:820 as this is the loudest part of the song, i realize you've mapped the song to compliment it but to me the kiai shouldn't be there.

Begginer
00:48:980 (1,2) - Change these so it looks like this for better flow?

Easy
00:23:060 (1,1) - make like this for better flow

01:08:180 - 01:08:660 - slider here?

01:15:860 - 01:16:340 - slider here?

map a lot more in between the gaps here because of the new kiai time i suggested, and perhaps remove some objects from the older kiai as it is a slower part of the song. do this for the other difficulties as well.

Orange's Normal
Nothing to say here, great job!

i'm obviously a really bad modder, but i hope this helped anyway.

Hi just some things i found on the map

[beginner]
  1. 00:00:020 (1) - try this maybe? looks a lot better imo, and copy it to the next slider too
  2. a lot of things like 00:48:980 (1,2,1,1,2) - 01:04:340 (1,2) - 01:12:020 (1,2) - all end on stronger beats than they sound on, i suggest moving sliderheads to downbeats
  3. 01:08:180 (1,2) - fix spacing
[easy]

  • 01:01:460 (1) - again try something like this? (this picture is actually abit uneven I realised but you get the point)
thats all, no need for kds because its just some minor points

I've seen people giving kds for a lot less. You deserve it. You deserve iiieet.

pew pew~

Beginner
00:26:900 (1,2,1) - check ds 2 is kinda overlapping with 1

Easy
00:03:860 (1) - slider pointing in different direction than where the next note is isnt really good for an easy + it kinda kills flow especially on something like ez/normal just ctrl+g

00:13:460 (2,3,1) - check ds between 3 and 1 seems a bit weird

00:34:580 (1,2) - this looks tbh just ugly :( could be blanket alot better

00:52:340 - why that little break here if you never did a break on the parts before

01:07:220 (3,4) - check ds

Normal
seems all fine with me~

adorable little map, good luck with it :3

00:34:580 (1,2) - this looks tbh just ugly :( could be blanket alot better

00:52:340 - why that little break here if you never did a break on the parts before The music sounds different here and if you compre this part with the next (01:01:460 (1)) This part is more intense. So it goes Notes, small break, notes, to notes, two sliders, notes.

01:07:220 (3,4) - check ds

Normal
seems all fine with me~

adorable little map, good luck with it :3
Thank you so much!

Hey, going to do a quick recheck

Begginer
00:56:660 - add a note here
01:04:340 ^
01:12:020 ^

Easy
00:36:500 (3,4) - 3 overlaps with 4 the tiniest bit.
00:52:820 add a slider here and make it like this?

01:07:220 (3,4) - make this into one reverse slider and then add a circle on the next white tick so it's easier for beginners to follow.

_orange's Normal
00:14:180 (2) - you shouldn't have slider's overlapping themselves in normals because its hard for newer players to follow.
01:10:340 (4,1) - pretty sure these aren't exactly the same, copy paste one of them and then ctrl g

You should get a BN to check this now, i believe it is close to being rankable. just ask in mod 'BN check please'
GL bois. i'll throw a star too i guess lel

00:52:820 add a slider here and make it like this? I like it the way it is.

01:07:220 (3,4) - make this into one reverse slider and then add a circle on the next white tick so it's easier for beginners to follow. It's fine the way it is, in both cenarios you have to click twice and both ways they're going one path.

THANKS AGAIN Hun, no reply means fix!

Small mod i'm absolute garbage at modding normal and easy.

_orange's Normal

01:00:740 (3) - space that further away from 01:01:460 (1) - to keep consistant spacing

I can't find anything on the easier diff :>

i guess thats it

Nice map!

01:00:740 (3) - space that further away from 01:01:460 (1) - to keep consistant spacing sliderend of 3 to sliderhead of 1 is 1.4x spacing which is correct, but I'll change it because it is bad flow :P

I have feeling that something is wrong with timing, but idk what exactly lol. I think up to this point timing is bad 00:15:380 -
Beginner
  • 00:35:540 - pause like this is not good, since you have more sound to emphasize. It also doesn't make no sense when you consider there is the same pause here 00:02:900 - . You know what i mean right? These moments are not the same so don't put the same pause.
00:48:980 (1) - this nc is wrong, i know you wanted to emphasize sound by this but it's not good, add nc 00:49:940 (2) - instead.
Easy
  • 00:00:980 (2,4,2,4) - this makes no sense at all, i know it's repetitive so it's like a pattern or something but it's not intuitive at all. there is no sounds here
Overall i think more important sounds are on red ticks, also you should ask someone knowledgeable in timing to check it.
I think you should consider remapping at least easy diff after checking timing :P
If it was me i would change offset to 260, and push all notes forward up to this point 00:15:380 - and add new bpm point

Reazen thank you for the mod, I've done everything except the bpm and offset, it turns out it was a lot more complex than we thought, (it might be one of those songs that changes the bpm consistantly through out the song like the song Obstacles) I'm going to continue to look over it and get back with you about it.

Thank you again!

hi! I owe you a mod.
I'm bad at this kind of map, but I'll give it my best shot since I don't map easy diffs or anything. there arent any rhythm choices to be made in this kind of map so this is just going to be aesthetic stuff

[Beginner]
00:00:020 (1) - would consider dragging slider points out to make a more visually appealing slider

doesn't have to be like that, I think it should be a lil flatter tho

00:07:700 (1) - instead of random placement could blanket with 00:07:700 (1) - slidderstart here

and then 00:11:540 (1) - blanket with the sliderend

and if you dont do that, you should at least blanket 00:15:380 (1) - here 00:07:700 (1) -

00:43:220 (2,4) - ok I know I said no rhythm choices but these notes are soo not on beat. even tho its an easy you can't just trust the white ticks, your red tick sounds are consistently stronger in this section

00:57:620 (1,2) - just sayin but the sliderends would play soo much better if they were mapped to the stronger red ticks

01:05:300 (1,2) - ^.. you map to white throughout thhe map but u gotta check out those red ones. refer to orange's diff, he covers the beat pretty well.

i know its a beginner.. but some red ticks here are stronger than whites (by a longshot) so i'd remap it to make sure ur consistent with strongest beats.

[easy]
00:01:460 (2,3) - fix blankets (just drag sliderend closer to circle)

00:42:260 (1) - again with the red ticks.. but you understand by now hopefully youll apply it to this difficulty too

00:50:900 (2,3,1) - whats with the decreasing object density (spatial increase is great though).. the song only gets more intense and adds more instruments as it goes; should be increasing here.. same with the kiai

[orange's]
00:47:300 (3) - ctrl g for aesthetics then resnap

00:59:540 (1) - ^

rhythm here is perfect. I recommend looking at how orange emphasized the song and trying to apply it to your difficulties; it would be so much better. if you want further help with that, pm me ingame and i'd be happy to help you since sometimes my mods are hard to understand. good luck!

No change for now, not sure if I'm missing something but I don't know why that would look better

Alright FINALLY I get to reply to this, (i haven't been on the computer as much as I was.)
As for the red tick suggestion, I applied it to easy but not to begginer and the reason for that is because I didn't want anything REMOTELY difficult. Even if it's on more passive slider ends.

THANK YOU <3

[General]
  1. 00:00:020 - volume levels conflict on all difficulties. Please set the same volume level on both lines or remove the green one if it is unnecessary.
  2. I'd prefer to have the full name of the game in the source and move the short one to the tags. It makes more sense since most of us have no idea what this game.
[Beginner]
  1. 00:28:340 - this beat has a clear cut of the instruments and having the slider continue ignoring it does not feel quite reasonable. The best way to handle this is to use a 1/1 gap, which contradicts the rhythm idea you've chosen. example
  2. 01:04:340 (2) - sounds like the circle is 1/2 late, yet, you can't snap it on the red tick since this would go against your core idea and patterning.

I am not entirely sure of the idea of this diffuclty, as it follows very simplistic rhythm it does filter a lot of instruments and strong beats, requiring beginners to actually focus and listen to a certain instrument or loud drum to follow. This kind of ruins the purpose of Beginner/Easy difficulty as instead of very basic yet easy to catch rhythm you require players to listen in and wait for specific loud hits to play and even then they are not always snapped accurately. So I'd really love to hear your ideas and grounds ou based the difficulty on.
[Easy]
  1. Why don't we try to stick to certain patterns/flow for 3/2 sliders and different shapes/patterns for 1/1 snapped ones? This way you will be able to keep things readable and quite simple. Just to give you a more detailed description, you can use sliders like these with 3/2 snapping
  2. 00:17:300 (2,1) - players might accidentally hit (2)'s tail just because it is placed so close to (1)'s tail. Perhaps, we could come with a more obvious pattern? example
  3. 00:26:420 - the guitar sort of peaks here, hence, I'd highly recommend to add a circle to give the beat proper emphasis.
  4. 00:48:020 (2) - sound like this should be a 3/2 slider as there is a beat on 00:48:740 - probably something of that kind?
Note: it happens in a few more patterns and the whole 3/2 thing kind of confuses me as I fail to understand your intentions. For instnace, 01:06:020 - this one is mapped and follows drum/synth 01:11:780 - yet this one is ignored. Could you comment on that or try to keep the 3/2 beats consistent, so beginners could see a simple pattern?

I feel like it would be a good difficulty if only 3/2s were a bit more obvious and consistent.
[_orange's Normal]
  1. 00:11:540 (1,2) - unlike the other patterns this one doesn't flow since the 1-2 transition is pretty sharp. Try something softer? example
    Note: same here 00:15:380 (1,2) - I assume.

Overall, it is a pretty solid difficulty. I think it could use some minor flow improements herre and there, but it's cool anyway.

The set itself is a bit inconsistent in terms of difficulty settings, for insntance it could be fixed if Easy used Approach Rate 2,5 or normal had higher approach rate, so that the increase in difficulty settings was consistent. Along with that I would love to hear comments on your intentions with the beginner difficulty since I really fail to grasp the ideas in it.

yo, randomly picked from #modreqs

[General]
  1. 00:00:020 - volume levels conflict on all difficulties.

Best of luck!
THANK YOU FOR MOD. There are a lot of changes I made to easy so I sort of lost track of what you suggested to do after suggesting that I should add more 8th notes. The reason for begginner being the way it is because I don't want anything to be remotly difficult. Your suggestion was fine about changing the rythm but it doesn't belong on beginner, also over lapping would occur and it wouldn't feel comfortable on an easy.

Begginner= ONLY 4ths
Easy= 4ths AND 8ths.

Hey, I just got your mod request from the #modreqs channel.

....I got nothing. It's great.

Hi again, i noticed something that seems to conflict on all diffs

01:16:820 (1) - this spinner at the end should probably land two ticks ahead, as that's where the sound ends. no kd for this

@BitCritterSpyro: Thanks! I apreciate it!
@-BlueSun-: Ok I'll fix that.

hi im modder c:

i hope my lower diff modding isn't offensive hahaha
[Beginner]
  1. 00:00:020 (1,1) - i think the wave slider would be done a bit cleaner, no? the curves look cramped, try something like this (idk it feels more, gentle? idk if thats right word)?
  2. 00:19:220 (1) - considering the cursor movement speed, i feel like the blanket comes at too sharp of an angle, maybe it would be best not to blanket the slider at all and instead just have it stick out to the side? idk like this:
  3. 00:46:100 (1) - over here on this slider 00:38:420 (1) - , the direction changed with the guitar, it just so happens that it also lined up nicely at 1/1. for this slider, however, it doesn't line up on 1/1 but rather 00:46:820 - here on 1/2 (and not 00:47:060 - here). if you want the sliders to change direction with guitar, i suggest making this one consistent with the rest
  4. 01:16:820 (1) - best spinner 2017

[Easy]Eek i think intro of this might have to be remapped...

  1. 00:00:020 - 00:15:380 - i think this part should be remapped to easier rhythms. in easy diffs, the more sliders the merrier (due to hit lenience ALTHOUGH WE'LL HAVE TO SEE UNTIL SCOREV2 HUH MR PEPPER GUY :c). due to this, there is more emphasis on reading circles especially when there are more than 1 objects on the screen at a time. getting to the point.....

00:01:460 (2,3) - these types of combos follow a rhythm of 1 1/2 slider, 1 1/2 gap until circle, and then 1/1 gap between slider. the issue here is in the last part, 1/1 gap between slider. in the editor, its obvious, like no shit this is the rhythm retard just follow it Xd but for noobs, having to read varying rhythms live is rough. luckily, its hella easy to fix the rhythm issue in a way that uses sliders instead of circles

easy af my dude, just use reverse sliders to remove the extra object
  2. 00:22:580 (4,1) - crazy how only .03 can make it look so much more cramped, just make sure the distance here goes back to 1.00
  3. 00:30:740 - awww... fff... damn i really suggest fixing the rhythms here lol...
i think most of this should be remapped so ill drop this diffs mod here. make sure to prioritize slider usage in lower diffs to simplify rhythms. if you dont remap it then i guess i have nothing else to say tbh but if you do want to remap it, then feel free to hmu again when its done c:

  1. 00:06:500 (2) - o sht son nice use of that red DOT THO, (rejected opinion inc) i know its a ton of extra work but i think it would be dope if all of the sliders in this section had red dots to emulate musical impact. ok gimme the phat reject on this one thanks
  2. 00:16:100 (2) - why use this rhythm? you skipped over the 00:16:340 - note, you are following the guitar, right? i might be lost idk :c
  3. 00:23:780 (2) - yeah same tbh
  4. 00:26:900 (1,2,3) - woah rhythm switch up, idk if anyone would have an issue with this just keep in mind that someone may complain about it (tbh im alright with it lo)
  5. 00:44:180 (1,2,1) - hey that was pretty, nice

again, i really feel like the easy diff should be remapped and im okay with remodding all diffs i you want to hmu again. also i just wanted to mention on the spinner, its kinda long, no? i feel like all of the diffs could have ended the map on some variation of slider usage, but instead they all ended with a 10.56 second long spinner lmao, idk its probably fine c:

srry but no change for now :((( but thanks for focusing more on the rythm as most people modding easier diffs only point out things on flow and aesthetics

why does this difficulty exist xd

00:30:740 (1) - why not turn this into 2 3/1 sliders? would get much better feeling of rhythm on the drums whilst still being as easy as previous patterns
00:38:420 (1) - same
00:49:940 (2) - blanket (only picking up on this because if you're gonna make a diff like this i think aesthetics is extremely important)
01:07:220 (2) - why not have these at the same angle like you did 00:57:620 (1,2) - here for visual consistency
01:16:820 (1) - this spinner is the hardest thing in the map because of how much effort it takes to spin for this long (remember noobs spin around the screen, not the center), consider reducing it by at least 2 measures

[Easy]

00:05:780 (2) - this slider ends looks a bit cramped, consider widening the curve a little?
00:15:380 (1) - slider end finish hitsound? i think this is unintentional as you don't use another one at any point in this section a second time
00:46:100 (1,2) - ds error
00:51:860 (2,1) - ds error
00:57:140 (4,1) - this angle on the slider is a bit strange considering its a straight flow coming off of 00:57:140 (4) - maybe ctrl + j and readjust?
01:05:300 (1) - maybe a red anchor point in this slider to create a fake blanket around 01:03:380 (3) - for better aesthetics? atm its very close to overlapping
01:16:820 (1) - same comment as beginner, this spinner for this length of time might be a bit long for noobs, consider reducing

[Normal]

hi again orange xd

00:16:100 (2) - try get a perfect stack on the slider end of 00:14:180 (2) - , it looks a little strange atm
00:40:340 (1,2) - fix parallels
01:10:340 (4) - this is potentially confusing as players might try and click the slider tail instead of the slider head because its much closer visually to them, i would ctrl + g this for better readability
