  1. 01:22:328 (3) - I can find this being an issue, since the slider repeats quite a bit and its kind of long players might get lost trying to follow it and end up dropping combo. Adding a curve to the slider will clear it up tbh

I've seen the mapset a bit fast, and you should really get someone to check your timing because some sections sound bad in my opinion.

For example, the first note in Insane sounds really off (for around 20~25 ms in my opinion), so you should really check this , in general I didn't check other sections because I'm not really good at multiple timing songs, that's why I recommend you to find a pro timer to check this one.

Christmas have finished (and a new year have started :/), anyway I hope you can rank this one as soon as possible (or maybe you decide to leave it for the next year xD).

In the Normal, since that huge change between 01:13:894 and 01:14:276 is kinda hard to avoid you'll have to either ask pishifat to fix the mp3 here or change that slider, and 02:41:879 (2) should be easy to change too (I'm not a big fan of the rhythmic pattern here anyways), everything else should work

Call me when you applied it and want me to mod it, I'll time intro and outro some other time too for funzies and so it's not drastically off in the menu ^^

  1. You might wanna add the Kiais in Normal and Hard too, and in Chrimstas the third one is really weirdly placed ^^
  2. The Claps are rather inconsistent in all diffs, pointing them all out would be a lot of work, just go through it with lowered music-volume and see for yourself ^^Also, just an idea, maybe add Finishes on all the upbeats starting from 02:41:087 until 02:51:406 -?
Normal
  1. 00:50:897 (2,3) - You barely have any 2/1-gaps at all across the map and this one feels especially weird, how about moving it one 1/1 earlier, and maybe even extending it to 2/1?
  2. 01:06:948 (1,2) - The lower anchor is notably off the slidertick, dunno if you want to fix that ^^
  3. 01:15:007 (3,1,2) - Since you didn't space things uneven like that anywhere else you should fix that one too, it's actually more than just x0,06 difference since the section that starts at (2) is lower bpm
  4. 01:21:593 (1,2) - Mapping those exactly the same kinda takes away the 'specialness' of the 1/3s at (2), so I'd make (1) a 1/1 and maybe even add a circle between 01:18:676 (1,1) so the break is more emphasized (I hope you understand what I mean lol)
  5. 01:24:516 (1,2,3) - Again I kinda dislike the inconsistent 2/1-gaps, you didn't map 01:27:451 (1,2,3) like that which feels imbalanced to me : \
  6. 01:36:190 (1,2,1) - Imo this would flow better if you put (2) down at y:361
  7. 02:16:770 - I feel like adding a note here would fit the buildup in the song
  8. 02:50:214 (1,2) - Swapping those rhythmic-wise would make more sense I think

The beginning section not being 1/3 feels so off lol - I feel like some parts could focus better on the vocals to make it feel less awkward, like swapping 00:53:635 (3,4,5) rhythmic-wise, as well as 00:56:386 (3,4) and 00:56:934 (5,6) -, and 00:49:438 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) could be more vocal-focused too imo, like having 1/2-sliders start at 00:51:080 and 00:51:445 and maybe leaving 00:49:985 empty instead?
  2. 01:06:948 (1,2) - spacing too big lol
  3. 01:38:306 (2,3) - 02:24:351 (5,6) - 02:44:545 (3,4) - Just my taste but spacing these out feels very forced to me, those are the only three spaced clickable 1/3s in the whole diff, all other 1/3s are way more comfortable to play as they start with a passive note / slidertail, so I'd suggest stacking these two
  4. 01:43:526 (3,4) - Those should be 1/2
  5. 01:53:011 (4,1,2) - Those being 1/2s feels really off, stacking (1) above (2) at 01:53:981 would feel way better imo -> Maybe add a note at 01:56:172 too then

Normal

  • В нормале вроде бы все хорошо. Есть пара бланкетов которые на пиксель не ровны, но это совсем ерунда, так что я упоминать это не стал.


Hard
  1. 00:53:507 (2) - в принципе все ок, но мне кажется, что можно еще чуток ниже опустить. Объясню как бы я подправил ----> КЛАЦ -----> опустив немного вправо левее 5 из этого комбо(я передвинул ее с 418:105 на 404:120) + опустив еще 2 (с 448:16 на 448:40, но тут примерно ) так же относительно 5, чтобы спейсинг между этими объектами сверху справа был одинаковый. Чего добьемся : переход с 2 на 3 более плавный, паттерн чуть плотнее, переход с 4 на 5 так же плавнее, как и потом сразу на 6. Имхо.
  2. 01:15:425 (2) - здесь точно такой спейсинг оправдан? По музыке просто не особо отличается.
  3. 01:55:256 (4,5) - я думаю игроку дано достаточное время на реагирование на 5 под 4, так что тут можно стакнуть.
  4. 02:24:406 (5) - на пиксель вниз - читается получше и смотрится тоже, например ----> КЛАЦ .
  5. 02:44:600 (3,4) - ^ -----> КЛАЦ (но тут переход будет с 2 на 3 не такой красивый, так что это можно пропустить. Хотя если уж делать предыдущее, то лучше сделать и это, а то два одинаковых паттерны, все дела)
  6. 02:48:691 (4) - поднять чуть выше -----> КЛАЦ

Christmas
  1. 01:07:003 (1) - вообще я бы не делал такие слайдеры, а именно почему ---->КЛАЦ -----> он будет немного приятней, если будет меньшего SV (т.к. будет удобнее если игроку не надо будет так сильно вести курсор, а хотя бы на чуток проводить его вверх), но есть, конечно, и минусы моего предложения здесь, а именно : 1. Лучше не делать сильный разброс по SV(если его вообще в таком старрейте можно будет так сильно менять), 2. Куча дополнительной работы(зеленые точки, конструкция слайдеров, подставлять их под остальные паттерны, под которые они были подставлены с прошлым SV), так что этот момент так чисто подумать. Вот.
  2. 01:16:158 (2,2) - чуток подравнять их тут между собой.
  3. 01:22:845 (5) - по мне так он тут абсолютно не нужен. Послушай без него на 50%-100% скорости. Этот звук это тянущийся 4 тап, который по сути можно оформить в слайдер, тогда будет хорошо. А если тап - то лучше убрать.
  4. 01:35:399 (6,7) - может сделать тут более "бланкетированным" этот момент? (я имею в виду по аппроучу ---> КЛАЦ
  5. 01:45:789 (2) - раз уж этот звук замапан(а тут очень сильно слышимый звук), то стоит сделать третий тап на 01:46:526). И ритм тогда не ломается, да и три тапа подряд выглядят симпатичнее двух, имхо.
  6. 01:50:388 (4) - до этого был паттерн в стиле Saten'а (а именно 01:49:046 (4,5,6) ), тут я думаю стоит сделать такой же спейсинг, как и там, например ----> КЛАЦ ---> к тому же после этого у тебя идет такие же паттерны в том же стиле Saten'а, поэтому чтобы не нарушать "флоу спейсинга"(если так можно вообще выразиться), то лучше выравнять здесь на примерно одинаковый.
  7. так, тут поподробнее. Во-первых смещение вот этого комбо уберет маленький оверлап 3 на 1 следующего комбо, + 01:55:988 (3,2) будет похоже на хороший паттерн больше, чем раньше, + 01:56:347 (4,1) переход будет легче, + 01:57:443 (3,4) как и этот соответственно (хоть и совсем на малую долю, но все же). Не обязательно совсем менять такие мелочи, но мало ли понравится мое предложение.
  8. 01:59:656 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4) - тут просто шикарно придумано, но есть вот один момент совсем мелочный, а именно 01:59:656 (1,4) стакнуть их концы.
  9. 02:43:902 (1) - стакнуть/чуть подальше от конца слайдера(хотя бы на пиксель-два)

Так, ну вроде бы все указал. Песня очень приятная, думаю успеешь к НГ с ней управиться :D

Okay so I'm not really a fan of this diff. For one, I think the SV is too high, and I also dislike the many 1/1 gaps. For example, 00:51:500; why is there a gap here? There's even a vocal there. When the SV is this high for a hard, you cant exactly just have a constant stream of notes every 1/2 note, obviously, because that would make it too hard. If you lower the SV a bit, it gives you some more lenience in terms of not having to undermap so that the diff isn't too hard.

tl;dr I disagree with how this diff is mapped.

Some more examples of things I don't like;

00:53:507 (2,3,4,5,6) - First off, the 1/1 gap and the jump from 2 to 3 have similar spacing, which is a bit misleading. Second, this plays really weird; It goes from fast gameplay to pause to fast gameplay to pause, and I'm not a fan.

00:58:267 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - Again, way too many 1/1 gaps. Makes it feel like play;pause;play;pause which just feels lame to me.

Might just be that since I'm a newer mapper I'm more used to the moddern mapping style, and this is an older map, but yeah I just disagree with how this is mapped. I don't want to say "remap pls" because you know, that's up to you, but take what I'm talking about into consideration.

To be clear, I get that this song doesn't do many favors in terms of allowing you to map the 1/2 beats constantly (because there aren't even sounds there a lot of the time), but when you're skipping prominent vocals (another example: 01:49:229 , 01:52:156 - , 01:52:884 - etc)

The christmas diff has a lot of these problems as well and I don't really know how to mod these difficulties, sorry :/

Sorry if my mod came off as "what is this 2014 mapping style delete pls" but ignoring the mapping style, the 1/1 gaps feel like severe undermapping and the SVs for the Hard (and Insane even) feel way too big.

tl;dr I disagree with how this diff is mapped. I guess I have to explain the way spread works, and the way difficulties are mapped. This, is more of a Hard+ as the velocity goes, but in terms of the rhythm it's like an Advanced. Put these two together and you get a fairly well-done Hard. Most of the stuff tries to fit with the main instruments/vocals without overloading them. THis is also why Insane feels unusual and the SV gaps in general are so big, it might (not) work for 2016 Standards, but I believe the way it is mapped to be perfectly reasonable

Some more examples of things I don't like;

I did, however, go through the map but couldn't really find any places where 1/2 beats would be necessary apart from 01:52:884 - that you have mentioned. Will try to gather opinions and see if it's still something that can compete with 2016 mapping.

Also, I've applied most of the things in Normal, if not anything. These really had to be fixed, indeed.Thanks a lot!

Not cuttin git as the mapped part ends exactly at 80.2% which is actually rankable. :p

Read through your response and I guess I can understand it more now. The idea of this being like a Hard+ in terms of speed but mapped like an Advanced to average out to a Hard isn't really something I like, but I understand that it can work. Sorry if I came across as harsh or anything, that's never my intention :P

It's not breaking anything, as long as we are over the 80% timestamp we are good to go. As for the into, it can be as long as I find it necessary, so yeah.

Uh, so if I have a 100 second long mp3, and I mapped 70s, leaving 10s intro and 20s outro, it's unrankable?

Last time I asked pishifat and he told me the <20% outro is the percentage of the whole MP3 rather than (length of mp3 - intro time).

Nah, you weren't wrong, we had yet another discussion with Loctav and it turns out that the rule is just unnecessary ambigiously worded and actually as soon as you hit the 80%-mark (and mo3 didn't get edited to avoid this rule ofc) you're good to go, dunno why the rule doesn't simply say that but I'm gonna post about rewording it now that this happened lol

Sorry if I came across like an asshole here, that's simply how a lot of other BNs and me interpreted that rule and never were told that we were wrong xd
