Break a EZ01:17:382 - missing note?
mmm.. yes Added in |3|Break a NM00:06:067 - a single note seems awfully underwhelming for this prominent beat
right! Added note in |0|, 00:06:410 (6410|0,6410|3) - Moved to |2|3| 00:47:210 - same
right! Added note: 00:47:210 (47210|1,47210|2) . 00:47:553 (47553|2,47553|3) - to |0| and |3| 00:13:953 - missing note for snare
00:13:953 (13953|1) - Added Note, 00:14:296 (14296|1) - Moved to |2| , 00:14:639 (14639|3) - moved to |1|.some of the snares in the kiai section only have single notes as well. It looks like some of it might be on purpose (for density or neatness maybe), but I think you could afford to be more consistent in chords. In such a simple map the distinction between singles and doubles goes a long way ;p;
Yes you right some parts are really have really loud sounds! Added:
00:52:696 (52696|1,52696|0) - moved and added.
00:58:182 (58182|3,58182|1) - moved and added.
00:58:524 (58524|1,58524|2) - Moved to |0| and |3|.
Break a HD00:06:410 - missing note for snare?
Done! added in |2|00:10:524 - snare
Done!, Added: 00:10:524 (10524|1) 00:17:039 - why not a double like all the notes afterward
Done!, Added: 00:17:039 (17039|2) 00:29:982 - I think the last note in these four-note drum sequences don't really exist. It feels very unintuitive this way and I think it's unrankable too.
HD, HD+, MX, SC, and SHD all seem to have this problem.
00:30:667 - same
00:32:724 -
00:33:410 -
00:35:467 -
00:36:153 -
I forget totally about this sorry, Erased: (In HD, HD+, MX, SC, SHD)00:29:982 , 00:30:667, 00:32:724, 00:33:410, 00:35:467, 00:36:153. Thanks.extra thing:
00:11:553 (11553|2) - Added.
01:17:382 (77382|0) - Added.
01:17:553 (77553|0) - Moved to |2|.Break a HD+00:06:067 - I like how each diff has more and more jacks
here? i dont see any right here. (but yes the jacks will be common in higher diffs xD)00:30:067 - there's no drum here other than the hi-hat... is it on purpose?
now i see it! Erased, no intended!00:32:810 - same
now i see it! Erased, no intended! x200:49:953 - I was about to say "missing note for kick" but I actually can't hear the kick?? It feels like there's supposed to be a kick here, it's probably just really quiet
i have my doubts about the sounds here, but yes is really quiet. I give you the Note because... well is there... but quiet (idk how explain this too xD, no problem!)extra things:
Erased: 00:30:067 and 00:32:810 in HD+, MX, SC, SHD.
Added: 00:49:953 in NM, HD, HD+, MX, SC, SHD.Break a MXBe careful with the jacks, man... I think many of the patterns in MX, SC, and SHD feel uncomfortable and look disorderly. I love jacks and always encourage their use, but I also have to acknowledge how difficult it is to implement them
For example, jacks at this speed are such a strong pattern that it may feel lopsided if they start on an offbeat, like 00:05:724 - . Perhaps you should use more patterns that start on the downbeat or on the 1/2 snap.
00:05:810 (5810|3) - Moved to |1| only 2-note jack now.The difficulty of jacks at this speed can also cause extreme changes in difficulty/intensity. That's not bad in itself (in fact I often find it very interesting) but unless the variation is consistent it may cause a feeling of disorder. Too much jacking in one place, or jacks in a place where the music doesn't suggest it, can be devastating. 00:38:467 - and 01:08:467 - on SC is a good example of this... those patterns seem like a huge jump in difficulty from the rest of the diff for no reason.
This goes for SC! but yes, I erase these (and change): (SC)
00:38:467 (38467|1,38553|1,38810|3,38896|3,38982|3) - now here there are LongNote 2-jack 2-jack and 3-jack (no more multijack).
00:43:610 (43610|2) - Moved to |3|
00:44:296 (44296|2,44382|2,44467|2) - All to |0|
00:44:639 (44639|1) - Moved to |2|
from 01:08:467 to 01:09:153 Changed!
01:21:496 (81496|0,81582|0,81667|0) - All to |1| and Erased 01:21:496 (81496|2,81582|2,81667|2) - 3-jack (no more multijack there)I also like to soften that feeling of disorder by making jacks as comfortable as possible. I find that it helps if you give the jacks a lot of space. I see in MX you left the other lanes empty whenever you have a jack, which is a good idea. However, you can do more. For example, at 00:05:724 - there's a note right before the jacks in the same hand. Why not give the jack some space by putting that note in the other hand?
^^ Done! Also, at 00:44:124 - , there are three minijacks in the same lane very close to each other. You should consider spreading them out to different lanes.
from 00:43:610 to 00:44:467 Changed!Lastly, consider the visual impact of jacks: as soon as you go to the jack in 00:05:724 - , the first three lanes suddenly become empty, which looks pretty weird since they were filled just a moment ago. However, you can't just add more notes... that would be too hard. You have the same problem is places like 00:58:182 - where a loud crash ends up with only one note because of the jack placement. If you put the wrong kind of jack in the wrong place, you end up with visual problems like these. I think the mistake in this diff was mostly choosing to use three-note jacks instead of two-note jacks.
More changes MX:
00:51:582 and 00:51:496 Erased only for 2-note jack (not more multijack there .-. lol)
00:52:696 (52696|2) - Moved to |3|, added one note in |0|.
00:58:182 (58182|0) - Moved to |1|, added one note in |3|.
from 01:08:467 to 01:09:153 Changed!
Thanks for your advice in jackS really helpful! Break a SC00:16:182 - shouldn't the LN start here
i dont remember why do this (maybe for difficult sight?) Done, changed!the SVs in SC and SHD distort distances between notes a lot. It may feel unnecessarily hard to read for players
^^ More "soft" SV changes... for SC and SHDBreak a SHDThe jacks are crazy, almost a gimmick, but I like it a lot! Unlike SC, the jacks are prevalent and consistent enough that the difficulty variation seems very orderly and interesting. The long columns of jacks are very aesthetically pleasing to me as well. And, of course, it's a fun challenge.
thanks I don't think jacks represent the synth at 01:02:124 - and 01:07:610 - very well, but I love creative expressive decisions so that's pretty cool.
ok! I also think the ending might be too much? At my skill level i find holding down a LN while jacking at this speed SIGNIFICANTLY harder than just jacking.
if you say so ...that maybe IS true! Replaced those 2 LongNotes: 01:22:182 (82182|2,82524|1) - for Single notes!
