I'm just wondering how people feel ranking correlates to skill. Whether Rank X tends to mean the player is capable of Y* scores, whether the player's skill level is Z. Basically, whether rank is the first thing you look at when determining skill.

Then there's Kuvster, 30k player with godly aim and the first to do Drop Granat HDDT FC (432pp). He also had a 577pp TAG4 score in the past. ExGon is a good (but less extreme) example of this kind of player as well.
It seems to be touchscreen players who are like that as there's not a lot of touchscreen oriented maps.
Of course at the other end of the spectrum there's players who pp farm DT and have saturated top plays. Nothing wrong with that, IMO, just a different way (supposedly the "correct way") of playing the game. I don't think I need to provide an example of this kind of player as it's "normal".
Wow my post is longwinded. Essentially, do you think the first type of player is underranked? Do you think ranking is not a good way to determine player skill? Should there be more touchscreen-oriented maps, and is it a real playstyle or EZ nonsense?
(Yes, I'm biased as I'm a touchscreen player. I'm definitely curious to hear the forum's opinions though.)
