I have problems with maps in the current cutting edge build, when i switch to cutting edge, i have some maps/map difficulties missing. Can anyone help please? :cry:

It seems sometimes the graph doesn't draw at all. This time I used the boss key when the play already ended but I wasn't in the results screen yet.

First of all, make sure that your GPU drivers are up to date, or install them in case that you don't have them. After that, hold shift while opening osu! and don't release it until a configuration window pops up. Then, see if "Compatibility mode" is enabled. If it's enabled, disable it and try to start osu!.

The Qualified map information about the scores gets overlapped/replaced if you have set a local offset on a beatmap. Also applies to beta build.

Since switching to the cutting-edge build I am getting a choppy song select menu and also many artifacts that are showed when recording using OBS' Game Capture. The artifacts are not visible when playing.
Both never happen for me in the stable build.

My friend changed to cutting edge and right after he did, he msged me saying that all his scores went through no matter what and his score was always perfect. I even speced him and i culd see it happen before my eyes, and he was getting top 50s left and right, now he's banned because of it but it seemed a bit bs because it wasn't his fault.

Im wondering if any other users have encountered this problem as well, and its something that should be fixed quickly.

Whenever a try to change to cutting edge or beta, nothing happens. I checked the update log file thing all it says is: Serious error occurred in update thread: System.InvalidProgramException: Common Language Runtime detected an invalid program.

Cutting Edge/Beta Lags

Whenever I'm in Cutting Edge, I got huge lags, constant stuttering, the game became totally unplayable, input latency jumps to 30ms ingame and constanly changing, please help, I want to play on cutting edge/beta because of slider ends. When I'm on stable, I have input latency like 1-2ms smooth game without any lags.

I think there is something seriously wrong with the new bancho code (while connecting) causing freezing. Something may be running on the main thread that shouldn't be.

This is back.

Sort of. Not all new timing sections make metronomticks but some do. It seems to be really inconsistent and on Beta everything works as supposed. Pretty annoying for variable bpm but not crippling for mono-bpm.
(Yes I got FPS high enough that no weird frameskip-metronomskips occur).

Ever since the new cutting edge (b20151001.1) I've been getting random lag spikes in the menus, none in-game, only in menus. osu! will freeze completely and un-freeze about half a second later. This happens about once per minute or two but sometimes can be every 30 seconds, happens most often when/while clicking.

That's probably because you had another game mode selected. It's a known issue, if I'm not wrong.

Since it came out the latest update, I have a new problem. Osu jerky always after 1 hour playing and help to restart it only through the game. It makes no more fun, please fix. :(

See bottom right, there come red dots and the always happens after 1 hour. Then, it is unplayable. Normal is 0.35 ms and no red dots.



And crash after. Black Screen. :o

Today me and a friend logged at osu on same time, both using cutting edge and we are facing huge FPS lag........
(we didn't have any problem with previous versions)... And we didn't change anything, it just updated and became laggy... my fps dropped for more than half, same for my input lag..

Its almost unplayable.

As far as I can tell, I haven't seen anyone mention this issue, so forgive me if it's already a known bug with the CE builds.

It would seem that sliders love to screw around with custom comboburst sounds, as it seems to me that whenever I hit my custom milestones on sliders it will occasionally eat the trigger, and the sound won't play whereas I've not yet seen it fail to play on normal circles. Sometimes it'll play if the milestone is on the slider end, but slider ticks always block it, and I've yet to hit the milestone on a slider start.

If I manage to fix OBS, I'll post a video or some such for proof, but should you want/desire my skin file for testing I can provide that now as well. Until then, I'll continue experimenting with it.

(Yes, I'm certain that I skinned the files right, because they've all played at least once.)

hard to freeze
the CPU usage of osu! is at an incredible high level after you open osu and play one song.the build is b20151008.5cuttingedge.

Are you actually and 100% sure that it's on 10 and you didn't move it, by a missclick or whatever? Check it please, because you wouldn't be the first one that says "it's on 10 lol" without checking it and then it was moved because of a missclick.

Please follow up in this thread if you believe more work needs to be done to fix the mentioned issues. If they have not yet been resolved, please provide any new details that may have arisen after this build.

Hey, when you change your local offset on a Beatmap it will take priority over the "qualified" notification when starting a beatmap (or if at all, it will only flash for a fraction of a second)
Nothing big but I don't think this is intended

When highlighting an object via aimod (for ex. a unsnapped object) It selects the object (like it's supposed to do) but when you unselect it via clicking anywhere else on the screen it doesn't visually unselect it.


As you can see from the picture above the hitcircle is not selected on the timeline but it still shows visually that it would indeed be selected. The only way to undo this effect is to select the hitcircle manually by clicking it and THEN unselecting it.

Problem Details:
While playing any map, i get a random lag spike which lasts for 1 second and always makes me fail. It happens every 4-5 minutes.
This happens on beta and Cutting Edge but not on Stable.

Merged your post to the CE thread, since you are saying it is only in Beta and CE. Also, would be nice if you could provide your "gl_info.txt". You will find it in your installation folder.

I remember testing this behaviour and it happens on stable too.

Another issue now that the cutting edge patch came: It possibly broke score submission. Any score that I do on a ranked map only goes on local records and doesn't get submitted.

This is already known, don't worry. If you care about your scores, change to Beta or Stable.

In addition to this, the cursor simply feels weird, as though there is mouse acceleration or some other factor messing with it. This may or may not be some form of increased input lag; I am unsure. It also happens on stable with OpenGL, but to a lesser extent than cutting edge.

Edit: I'm using an MSI Apache-012 running on the dedicated graphics card, which is a GTX 860M if I recall correctly.
