There is no such thing as "taiko BN". Any BN can do any mode if they wish, but it's in their best interest not to touch things they know nothing about, cause that would make them lose points easily.baraatje123 wrote:

Your comment about mingmichael was unnecessary and shows that you don't much know much about taiko BNs yourself. There IS a serious lack of active BN modding in taiko, those few BNs that do like 1 taiko mod in 1 or 2 months won't really change much.

I don't know about the previous recruitment, but confirmation is required when I was asked to join. We all have freedom of choice if I recall correctly.
But please, stop this meaningless conversation. Don't underestimate the workload of Beatmap Nominators and mappers' longing for BN checks.

That's all I can say about current situation. What Raiden explained is rather natural since, as he said, people are becoming "complainy" which isn't due to the BNG itself, but rather due to the situation we have already for so long.OnosakiHito wrote:

Sounds a bit utopia like, huh? Well, we got already some maps without or just a few mods ranked, and no one raged since maps were well made due to the big effort mapper take into it. Mapping and modding go hand in hand. You have to do both to survive here as a mapper. (For any game mode)
BN are not obligated to mod your map at all. If they say they will mod your map and then don't, yeah that sucks, but it happens. Like I said, BN have no obligation to mod YOUR MAP. They can mod whatever they want. (Just like non-bn can)

Probably most people don't know about recent QAT changes, so I will hand out some information which effecst the ranking process from now on:
Dunno how you guys feel about this, but seems okay for Taiko if you ask me. Normaly we talk about stuff anyway and in this way we understand each others opinion better.
- QATs do not post anonymized anymore.
- Disqualifications can happen before a discussion.
- QATs may mod again after a DQ, but don't have to.
- QATs can rebubble/requalify a map again after a conclusion has been found.

About the second question; QATs may disqualify on their own accord now. So if they find something questionable, they may DQ it. Discussion to other QATs or modder is not needed but can be still done of course. You can see this as some kind of ranking buffer I guess. Like in case of doubt, DQ the map, so people can talk about it and see if it is really worth ranking it in its current state. Once conclusion is found, the map would be ranked again.
Yeah, the counter part of this is of course that some discussions could heat up. But well, I think all we can do now is just testing it and see how it goes on. But be at least sure that you can expect from my DQs(and as I know the other Taiko QATs, from them, too) reasons why stuff has been questioned.

It'd be pointless when it's a trivial matter (metadata, wrong snapping, etc.), as Nominators could check that by themselves. For other cases, as there will be a discussion after the DQ, it's expected for the involved QAT to be in the discussion itself, and even if he don't bubble/qualify, they would be likely giving some signs of approval after the discussion reachs an agreement.Spaghetti wrote:

What I meant was that, if the/a QAT decides that the map should be checked for disqualification again after the first dq, the QAT who checks it again should be the one that performed the first dq. This is to avoid dq's based on subjective views of other team members and to have a map dq'd for reasons that could have been said in the first dq.

Only people who are fully capable of Taiko. That means, people who played, mapped and modded a lot in this community and proved / showed that a lot of times. Especially mapping is a good inidicator for this, and more important when making real sets.

Yes, this might be in some way strict from me, but in all honest, if I would be someone who is still unsure about making diffs, sets or even spreads, I would rather like to ask someone for help who knows his work and who can ensure me -more or less- that my map won't be DQ'd. An, inexperienced BN can't do that, and this has been proven a few times already (though, there are exceptions). Current guys I added have a minimum of 2 years experience in Taiko with every skill I mentioned in my previous post.

Current situation is indeed inconvinient, but can be due to the TNA, not a way too big problem. qoot8123 and Nwolf are still the same, just without the possibility to bubble / rank something for the moment. We can still organize ourself and continue as always, with the difference, that the other BN members (and me aaah) must take the bubbling / ranking process. I will keep you guys updated if something should happen. For now our main priority is keeping up with the ranking process and having more BNs again. But for now...
