That's why you need to Auto attack before the turret hits the minion and then auto attack again after the turret hits it. This applies for all laners that can't one hit minions after turret hits.Justykanna wrote:
Yup, I know it's two turret shots for a melee minion and one for the caster. My only problem is that even if one turret shot, the caster minion still has enough health left that I can't just auto attack him with most of my champions (Gangplank, Garen, Malpihte). At least with Malphite, his W's mana cost is small. =)
He's been my jungler for the better part of two seasons now (Seasons 3 and 4 and when I'm forced into jungle this season) so it's strange to all of a sudden hear he's a top laner (same when I heard Wukong and Malphite were a junglers after using them in the top lane... people need to make up their bloody minds with my laners...). So I might need to experiment with Maokai if top lane's something that's going to happen with me. xD
The main reason for Maokai converting into a top laner is the change to his ult last season. His Ult follows him instead of staying in one place and this allowed him to be a complete tank.
