It's useful for mappers
Now don't flame it because you are not an active mapper (as is: You only have graved maps)
Now all non-std modes have such a thread, making it much eaisier to find BN/QAT of that specific mode

It's the general forum for the mode

Ah I see, so we actually don't have enough stickies and this is obviously much more important than anything else here to the majority of the userbase. Thanks for clearing that up buddy~
I actually think this is pretty useful to have, as long as it actually stays up to date. I haven't been following things as closely as I used to, and it's nice having a proper list of who can actually nominate beatmaps.
Honestly, this forum is hardly active enough for the number of stickies to actually matter anyway.

Very helpful for mappers, thanks. Since a lot of new BNs got nominated (and red titles got removed as well), its pretty useful for ppl who cant keep up who is new in BN team, especially in mania.
I'd like to see at least some order in the list though (sorry for being picky) like alphabetically, and really separate the mania BNs from those who "do some mania, but main another mode", since usually those BNs don't particularly take requests or anything of the such much at all, compared to the other normal mania BNs..
And to be honest I'm surprised half of them threads Drace mentioned aren't stickied since I've come across all of them at least once and some have indeed helped me quite a lot (speaking as a player here.)

I have sorted the list alphabetically and moved the two BNs (who also focuses on another mode) to another list.
I guess it's time to update this~

That's true but he isn't specifically a Beatmap Nominator or osu!mania specific QAT anymore, so I see no point of putting him on this list.
Blocko is now a BN who mods mania.

mania BN has their own keymode speciality, i guess it's gonna be more useful for mapper if they know which BN that focus at which keymode..
i myself able to check 4K - 8K keymode.. idk with the other BNs

Ok, from my personal perspective, these are the most potential people that should be BNs. Some of them are inactive but I'm sure they could be a BN if they're active enough in modding. I don't give a damn if you don't agree with this list, I'm just stating my opinion.

While I do appreciate being added to your list, there is still a formal process that needs to be done to get to being a beatmap nominator. That's not to say that I agree with it, but the fact of the matter is that there is a formalized process to become a beatmap nominator and getting through it is something that I don't see myself doing anytime soon.
However, the real reason that I am making this post is that you are implicitly insulting any beatmap nominators that are not on your list: I understand that you don't "give a damn", but others that have the beatmap nominator have taken the time to go through the process and were cleared by other staff, and leaving them out in an effort to say that they don't belong/shouldn't be there is not something that you, or anyone else should ever be doing. Yes, you're entitled to have an opinion, but if your opinion is going to be a subtle, passive-aggressive attack on those who are not on this list, you're doing things wrong and probably should stop.

To be fair though, that process selects out many people (like yourself) who don't (for whatever reason) follow it. You could argue that anyone unwilling to go through the process is already unfit, but I would disagree because that process has no bearing on how well someone actually understands beatmapping. The process is effectively selecting people for their activity, rather than their knowledge or quality of mods (beyond the basic requirements for a mod to be considered a mod). Not only does it neglect to take into account actual knowledge, but it puts a primary focus on quantity over quality, which is not particularly helpful.
In the early days, the problem was that the few experienced mappers we had ran into difficulty getting their maps ranked for one reason or another. That issue is beginning to disappear (although it's still present, it's not as bad as it once was) and now we've reached a point where I think it's important to be a bit more picky about things. Unfortunately, the current process prioritizes people who are very active, rather than people who may be less active, but have greater expertise in mapping. By focusing on mappers who are very active, the system will ensure that more maps are nominated, but of those nominated maps, more of them will be of lower quality because of the lack of actual expertise in the BN group.
I'm not saying all the current BNs are bad, or anything to that effect. I'm simply saying that there are mappers out there with greater experience and knowledge than many of the current BNs who are selected out because of how the process focuses on quantity as a large factor.
