Of course i did. Because its Pony Canyon, Sentai Filmworks and TBS works on it (there more actually). I like they worksBaka Tenshi wrote:

I can't say it is super interesting. It's more like an ecchi harem comedy anime with little story that starts to get interesting and really progress in first darkness, which is like 2rd or 3rd season of the serie. But i quite enjoyed it when i liked ecchi animes. You can give it a try and see for yourself.YOGURTOVSKY wrote:
Is ToLoveRu super interesting? I thought I could give it a shot since there's new Darkness season in Summer.
Skip to Darkness. You don't really need to watch the prequels because nothing really happened that is important. But even in Darkness, they almost removed Lala by giving the others more screentime for the sake of the "story".YOGURTOVSKY wrote:

You might as well watch like the intro episode for To-love-Ru. From there I'd say jump to Motto! It's short and conveys the style of the first season well and will get you familiar with the characters before jumping into Darkness.YOGURTOVSKY wrote:

Something with comedic elements that's also present in Nichijou and Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou.

The characters and their situations are generally pretty absurd like nichijou but the series often comes back to satire, while Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou was specifically school life Zetsubou-Sensei covers a much broader range of topics.a1l2d3r4e5d6 wrote:

Nothing against Precure, just wanted to confirm what he meant. But let's not discuss that here.Green Platinum wrote:
What the hell is wrong with Precure? Atleast I watch the show before I criticise it like that garbage Mahouka. The rest is above average atleast.

I don't think many experienced fans would agree with you at all. I would probably never recommend any of those even if someone asked for shounen series.YumitheYuri wrote:
I think that claymore is in my opinion one of the best out there, they had a kinda badish ending, but the anime itself was amazing. However claymore is not really as well know as say FMA, Naruto, Soul Eater, etc.. But those of you out there who like animes like bastard or those types of anime then you will like this, it is a pretty depressing anime at times, but i think that just makes it even better, I hope that anyone who has not tried this anime give it a shot.D
I wouldn't recommend any of those either tbh. If you want to watch shounen, go watch something like Gurren LagannYumitheYuri wrote:

PyaKura wrote:
So, do you have any good animes in mind that aren't Mahou Shoujo nor mecha
My issue is rejecting shows purely on their genre alone, if it's a good anime who cares what it's about. Sure you can feel in a specific mood for a type of show but you shouldn't reject Gurren Lagann because you didn't like Gundam because they have the common theme of mecha or rejecting Madoka because they didn't like Moetan or Sailormoon.[Superstar] wrote:
I wasn't really into Mahou Shoujo either until I watched all the Nanoha stuff. That was a turning point.
I have nothing against mahou shoujo, nor mecha nor anything else. I just happen to have watched animes of these genres lately and wanted something else. I enjoy most genres. Quit jumping to conclusions so fast.Green Platinum wrote:
Well you made it pretty apparent you didn't want any "even if they were good". What is your prejudice against Mahou Shoujo? I guess Mecha too but I see that less often.
Yeah don't watch the studio deen adaptation, its shite.a1l2d3r4e5d6 wrote:
So I decided to give the Fate series (Fate/stay night & Fate/Zero) a shot after considering it for 3 years.
How would I watch the series? Should I watch it chronologically? I've also heard that the studio Deen adaptation was bad.
Just go watch anything made by Shaftkarlabos wrote:
I finished watching the Monogatari series and now I have that big hole in my heart and that emptyness, that feeling of lack of reason to live and all that happens when you know that it ended, that you will never watch it again the same way you did the first time...
Anyway, are there any animes that are similarly awesome? Say at least 10% as awesome, since asking for more than that would be unthinkable, of course.
No seriously, anything highly based on dialogues and profound stuff like that?
You could try and wait for Kizumonogatari. Which is the prequel movie to the whole Monogatari series.karlabos wrote:

No, Fate/Stay night is based off of a visual novel and like all visual novels they have multiple routes.a1l2d3r4e5d6 wrote:

lol yeah, tbh I can't remember either. I just remember it being shit and Shiro saying, "People die when they are killed!"Green Platinum wrote:
I can't even remember why Deen Fate/Stay Night is shit. I only watched it once, ages ago. It did get kinda harem-y.
I agree with you entirely. Kiritsugu is a great main character compared to Shiro's whiny ass always going on about justice, all the servants are given better development in Fate/Zero while in Fate/Stay Night I could care less about most of them. I give all the credit to Gen Urobuchi for making Fate/Zero shine brighterGreen Platinum wrote:
I think I will always prefer Fate/Zero even to the new one. Fate/Stay Night just feels like a galge alot of the time and the competition involved in Fate/Zero feel/are significantly more qualified to fight over the holy grail. Kiritsugu is also more GAR than Archer in F/SN.

Hey don't make me say stuff I didn't say. It's not "up there" feels-wise (After Story takes that spot, followed by Little Busters, still haven't watched Ano Hana and... what was it again... Whatever.), but I definitely got "those" feelings up in my chest. I think I did tear up, but I didn't actually cry like I did for Clannad AS, hell no.Green Platinum wrote:

I'd give it the same score, but that's purely because I don't believe in perfection, heheh. A friend of mine told me not to talk about the show to anyone except huge anime lovers for "it's one of those rare treasures which make anime what it is". I wish more companies were willing to go that far.Green Platinum wrote:
The series is great I give it ~9/10, shame anime companies don't even try to reach this standard at all.
Not referring to you specifically but the amount of people who were constantly saying "The feels.." and "This series will break my soul" etc got on my nerves.PyaKura wrote:
