osu is an e-sport guyz wow!!1!!1! qcup hype
I guess I'd be much higher if I didn't do that.nevermore wrote:
This is the problem with players that come from other games, they think osu is a competitive so they spend all their precious time asking how to get good and shitposting in reddit instead of actually playing the game.
I dunno, would you rather say "I'm a high ranking player" or "I'm a low ranking player"?Kheldragar wrote:
Shouldn't it be low in the rankings?
Getting paid to shitpost. Now that would be something.Riince wrote:

WWW at #1 is currently the highest ranking player, and his rank number is low, but that's not what you should describe when you describe rank, so it would be correct to say he is currently higher ranked than anyone else, not lower.Mahoganytooth wrote:

'cause most people would probably go with the first one.
The correct saying is "couldn't care less", as in the person saying it cares so little that they are at the maximum capacity of not caring, hence them being unable to care any less. "Could care less" implies they have space to care less, so that they would care more than someone that couldn't care less.Mahoganytooth wrote:
Maybe it's a situation like that "Could care less" phrase that always annoys me
don't do drugs, kheldragar, they're not good for you. You don't need to be high all the timeKheldragar wrote:

High ranks = low numbersKheldragar wrote:

everybody knows what is ment when you mention those words in osu! context, and if you dont you have no place in these discussions.
competitive/pro in osu context means people who are high on the rankings and trying their best to get to those top spots.

happystick was pretty vague about it, so i have no idea if thats the case or not. i want to assume no.Kheldragar wrote:

Which is retarded and you should FINISH it before going to stream osu if the above is correct.

Lol who said anything about money? I just want to be able to play at a desired level in which it is competitively. I have no interest in winning in tournaments and contests or whatever. You think I want to be play at that level to be discussed in forums and gain fame? You think competitive super smash bros players desire fame and money? heck we play competitively just it's just fun and you get a good feeling when you spike or knock your opponent off the stage but I also want to play with other people and make friends and joining the industry of so and so, now i'm able to talk with mew2king, mango, ken, as a friend and have friendly smash brotherly fights and not as a fan. Of course I am in no place to say now that because I yet to reach the cumulative level first. And I agree that this topic has no place in these discussions because its rather cliché don't you think? But I guess one cannot help it.silmarilen wrote:

sorry but this is the way our society progress, even I hate it so i'll rephrase the word competitive to high levelbigfeh wrote:

You can make competitions out of everything, from online games to who can fart the loudest - but it doesn't mean you should and most importantly it doesn't mean it's appropriate
'tis rather cliché, how about this, tell me a few of your favorite beatmappers and i'll get the ball rolling? surely you have time other than bleating how shit posters waste their time then waste their time reading spam replys that helps no one and creates conflict.nevermore wrote:

I think I kind of have a clue about what you're trying to say here.Mporiyoki wrote:

You see, this makes one hell of a difference. As stated, high level play doesn't mean competitive playMporiyoki wrote:
