Hi! From my forum NM/M4M taiko queue.
I am pretty thorough, so don't be annoyed if I point out a lot of issues. A lot of times they are just my opinions, so feel free to object to them. :3
I look at mainly composing: how you map the music. Not just the drums; the vocals, background synth, the symphonic backing, the pauses; everything. But especially vocals.
I also look at pattern repetition and consistency, and how you fit in your 1/4 runs.
(Note: If I tell you your Oni isn’t hard enough, that’s just my masochist side speaking, you can most definitely ignore if you wish. ^.^ )
d = don
k = katsu
D = big don
K = big katsu
[General]
Curious as to why you use both whistle and clap hitsounds when composing, as they both sound the same when played...?
I listened to the music without notes, and the drumset patterns are actually not too complex. I feel like for Oni and Inner Oni difficulties you might have overmapped some part of the song.
e.g. For Inner Oni, 00:02:148 to 00:11:937 is a continuous stream, but in the music drums is playing the standard rock beat (with some flair added of course), while the trumpets are playing simple offbeat rhythms. I don't think you need that many notes here.
[Kantan]
00:43:578 (16) - change to d, match vocal pitch, emphasize next note in which singer sings a high note
00:44:669 (18) - change to K, hitsounds would be cymbals
[Futsuu]
00:30:760 (38,39,40) - change to kdd, I don't feel like you need that much emphasis in this measure
00:34:305 (47) - change to k, ^
00:42:487 (68,69,70,71,72) - change to kdkdk would match vocals
01:07:033 (125) - change to k, I don't feel like you need that much emphasis for this note
01:09:760 (131) - ^
[Muzukashii]
00:30:760 (68,69,70) - see Futsuu
00:34:305 (80) - see Futsuu
01:01:033 (70) - change to d, onbeat
01:13:851 (124,126) - consider removing finish
[Oni]
00:36:214 (45,46,47,48) - change to kdkk, match vocals
00:43:033 (87,88,89,90) - change to kkdd, match vocals' pitch
[Inner Oni]
You might want to change this up first before I mod it, it's quite a bit overmapped imo.

And also, after looking through my mod, would you mind taking the time to check out my taiko set? <3
There you go! Hope you find this mod helpful, and good luck beatmapping!
