I actually downloaded all of your practice maps until like 200bpm.
I had the same limitation. To play faster streams you need to push yourself more than you would think (...more than makes sense based on experience playing BPM's 120-200), but carefully. You won't have awesome finger control past 200bpm, because you never did. But as you play it more and push your limits, the foundations you have learnt for finger control will steer the improvements in speed you are trying to acquire, and you will regain that control and stability rather quickly (few months for me), because that is your underlying goal due to your technique (hopefully). But you need to develop those foundations and make them rock solid first. Considering you still have trouble with slower streams, you still have work to do. You can couple slow & fast practice together as well.

This is why starting out with mashing is such a bad habit, because it becomes your default when you push yourself. Focusing on technique first pays off in the long run, even if it feels like you don't see results for what seems like forever.

Yeah I agree. I might have worded that wrongly though; I downloaded up to 200bpm for the sole reason of working on my slow bpm streaming technique before even bothering trying high bpm, like you advised.

Weakness: Aim
Approached by: Waving cursor around randomly whilst hoping to hit stuff.

Weakness: errrrr, streams :( fast pace Consecutive mini sliders that go back and fore(dunno which I hate the most really)

Approach to them: Streams: Playing them only for now til I puke out rhythm on my left hand
Mini sliders: err screw them for now..

My weakness is everything. I suck at everything. There is not a single thing i am good at in this game. I am probably one of the worst osu players in the world.

I'm struggling with adjusting my tablet settings to find a comfortable area and a corresponding style of holding/positioning my pen. Nothing seems to really click in even after extensive testing. I'm trying to remedy this by trying out different styles once in a while, getting accustomed to it and seeing if it's better than the previous one. I don't switch styles until I feel that I've hit a steep slope in terms of practiced required for improvement. In other words I plateau out, then dabble in something else for a while. Everything always feels uncomfortable for me so I'm constantly trying new things, though not so often as to ruin any chances of developing muscle memory. Cool thing is that there tends to be a lot of carry-over between styles, at least for me that is, so it's not as big of a deal as I would have imagined.

Ironically the only weakness i have complete control over is the fact that i play too much in one sitting. When you play too much I feel that it's counterproductive. You start getting bored/frustrated, your fingers and wrists are fatigued so they don't move as fluidly, your eyes are worn out from staring at flashing circles all day... It's a recipe for fostering mediocre plays and bad habits.

So I've pretty much started to force myself not to play osu once in a while. I feel like some kind of circle clicking addict. I just have to have my fix of clicking circles else I'll cut someone's head off. As I drift to sleep at night I can see hitcircles floating around in my vision and it's starting to make me feel a little strange about this game and about the state of my life. Thanks for reading my blog.

- What would you consider to be your major weaknesses? Fingers getting screwed on triplets? Slow streaming? Can't read ar10 for the hell of it?
Aim - A few hours of 'warming up' seems to unlock some FC potential but my aim is very inconsistent, I can't FC 5+ star maps (my first 5+ star FC was a 5.29 so I overshot a little, still I'm not really able to do it).

Streaming - I don't know if I have bad stamina or I'm just retarded and not able to use it to its full extent. With most physical exercises, I'm able to force myself to keep going to initial failure, but when it comes to streaming I'm lazy and have to stop before even feeling any pain. This, however, applies only to streams above 140-150BPM. Streams of up to 140BPM might not count, because the pain seems to eventually stop increasing.

Accuracy - I can't get good acc on very slow maps, very slow parts, or maps with huge gaps in the music/objects

I don't even know what is this - when I retry a map a 3-5 times, I start misreading it. Seemingly random, affects patterns that I haven't misread before. When I retry a map 20-300 times (enough to memorize it decently), I will start to always misread the same moments. I think this is how I can describe it. Miss on the same jump 3 times in a row ---> from now on, I will not attempt this jump, for I will proceed to wave my cursor around for a second like a retard instead.

AR10 - freezing on triples/stacks, makes my aim worse
CS4+ - please no
OD9.8-10 - 96% acc on practice maps, 92% acc on AR10 CS5.2
AR8 CS5 - Those in isolation are not a threat, but the combination is lethal.

- Have you attempted to fix them yet, and if so, how did you approach it and how successful have you been so far?
I just play everything I can and hope no skill falls behind

- How much effort are you putting into the issue? for ex. are you practicing 260bpm deathstreams 18 hours a day or are you just playing rog unlimitation once in a while to increase your streaming speed?
I always play osu, always clicking circles

- Things you used to be bad at, but eventually got better after doing x.
I used to get 160-200 unstable rate, but then I acknowledged the existence of accuracy and got to 80-120.

- Also feel free to talk about the aspects you consider to be your strengths
Accuracy to some extent - OD<9.666 is not a problem

PP farming - +~8 pp for getting one 100 less instead of having to FC something

Luck - not really able to FC 5 stars, FC on 5.29 first try. Not really able to consistently SS OD9, SS on OD9.67 first try.

Reading - It's not outstanding, but I have not allowed my reading to fall behind.

i'm literally doing the exact same things from start to end

my brain seems to start playing the game as soon as im about to fall asleep, sometimes i even recall dreaming about clicking circles which results in waking up with an awkward dissatisfaction about not performing well on a map that I haven't even actually played in real life

thats kind of how the brain works i guess but it feels really weird sometimes
Genki1000
Weakness: High BPM
Approach: Avoid like the plague
-Atri-
What should i say?

My weakness is too many of them.

Like slow and poor aim streaming(and i suddenly hold one of the keys for no reason, during stream) , can't read AR10, hitting triple as doubles, always screw up the notes after multiples

I usually play the map only few times in order to not getting false muscle memory

Sounds like you have a case of osu ADD. Personally I find retrying a map too many times to have the same effect on me. I concluded that it was simply because i was too bored so i stop taking the map as seriously and end up making silly mistakes where I would never make them.

As for the slow objects I have that problem too, probably also because I'm bored and out of focus during slow parts so I tend to underestimate them.

I couldn't fc 2 star songs.
After playing more I can now fc 5,5+ star songs.

at my level (rank 22k) my weaknesses change and sway over to something else almost every other day. i feel like there is not really a point in thinking too much about it right now. I just play a lot get better gradually. and since i play all kinds of stuff all my parameters improve at least to a certain extent. just 2 days ago i made 7 really impressive plays for my standards and 5 of them even placed my to 5 pp ranks.

of course i occasionally feel limited by my temporary respective weakness but then i just try to play more maps which actually target that spot and 2 days later i already feel the improvement.
Ziassan
I've still many weaknesses as I'm still ~1000pp but it's coming from an "unusual" osu story. Somewhat.

I started osu! in 2009 with mouse only and played casually with friends (like hardcore maps in nofail getting 40% and D but still fun in multi). Then I switched to tablet, I didn't know by the time it was possible to use the keyboard so I tapped and damaged my tablet pencil lead many times.
Then I stop for 4 years before starting again a month ago.

- Random miss & doing FC : it's the worst when it comes to long maps, no matter the difficulty. I meet totally random miss - never at the same place- sometimes it's just I somewhat don't press the key, I never understand where it's from so for improving, well, ahah.
- Concentration : whenever I'm doing good I can't help but try to look at the % or the xCombo or the score, and I end up missing. Shift + Tab helps me for that but well.
- Streams : I started the keyboard by singletapping with my whole hand on the spacebar, and recently realized it was impossible to do any triplet or stream like that, so I had to switch to W/X keys and lost much accuracy since one finger instead of the wrist is less reliable. Streams are becoming better but it's still hard if I can't hear the music that justifie the stream.
- Accuracy : I'm musician but when I don't catch the link map/music (like the music is following sometimes the drum, then voice, all mixed) I just can't pass 85%. When I do, doing >95% feels easy.

Overally it's lack of consistence, I find high-lvl accuracy & jumps easy while "easy" streams feel still hard. The thing I like the most is when note pattern is coming back and forth on itself since I can memorize easily in advance and then "unroll" it.
I guess "practise" is the word, I guess.

problem: clicking circles
solution: stop
Sya
Problem: Accuracy

What to do: Well I fc low star songs (4.5+) with 97%+ acc

How often: Since its really boring playing those low star songs I just do it once a month or when i feel like it.

What got good after practicing: Hmm my aim.

My strong aspects: I guess speed and stamina
[Section Pass]
1) weakness: accuracy
solution: buy a new notebook/pc so i have more than 40fps

2) weakness: can´t pass scarllet rose, talent shredder and other val maps
solution: play more (hard to read maps)
Yuudachi-kun
Weakness: Always fail 0108 maps at the very end
Solution: NF 8-)
tecu
I swear HR is impossible for me.

Solution: Don't play HR and just keep farming DT instead.

- What would you consider to be your major weaknesses?
Double taps are too hard for me, along with streams. I can never read streams especially when I try to listen to the song, it just doesn't add up sometimes.
- Have you attempted to fix them yet, and if so, how did you approach it and how successful have you been so far?
I haven't looked into my double tap problem since I just found out about it. In the past I had streaming maps I'd practice daily, although I did notice some improvement, it did make me mash instead of actually following the tempo of the song.
- How much effort are you putting into the issue?
Not much effort :x
- Things you used to be bad at, but eventually got better after doing x.
I used a mouse for the longest time and I noticed on some maps I'd end up playing in the corners of the mousepad, and I'd get so uncomfortable that I would end up failing songs because of it. I ended up trying out my girlfriends tablet to see how they work, it took a bit of tweaking with the sensitivity, but it was incredibly accurate! The next day I went out and bought myself a tablet and I have only been playing a little bit since I got it, but I'm already noticing an improvement on stamina and accuracy.

Problem: Bad at jumping and readability
Solution: play this with EZ + HT

Problem: Not able to play jumpy
Solution: this and HT

that's all, my speed and stamina is ok compared to my rank (I can play Freedom Dive another with NF and HT and got a C (sometimes), but I usually fail a stream that lasts more than 6 beats)

A1. high bpm streaming (230bpm and above, yeah i'm slow), anything above ar10 reading
A2. no, high ar and high bpm streaming sucks
A3. not much at all since you don't need to stream 260bpm deathstreams
A4. my accuracy used to be really terrible and it pains me to see 100s, so I just went and played a lot of songs with unique patterns to get the gist of the game.
A5. making high accuracy plays on farm maps without trying too hard

yeah i'm a typical dt farmer :^)
