That was me 2 years ago, not now especially when I can easily breeze through everything offline and simply not care.woqx wrote:

Streams just become a foreign concept to my fingers, become unable to do a normal streaming motion.Kheldragar wrote:
What's your problem in streams?
I had the same limitation. To play faster streams you need to push yourself more than you would think (...more than makes sense based on experience playing BPM's 120-200), but carefully. You won't have awesome finger control past 200bpm, because you never did. But as you play it more and push your limits, the foundations you have learnt for finger control will steer the improvements in speed you are trying to acquire, and you will regain that control and stability rather quickly (few months for me), because that is your underlying goal due to your technique (hopefully). But you need to develop those foundations and make them rock solid first. Considering you still have trouble with slower streams, you still have work to do. You can couple slow & fast practice together as well.B1rd wrote:
I actually downloaded all of your practice maps until like 200bpm.

- What would you consider to be your major weaknesses? Fingers getting screwed on triplets? Slow streaming? Can't read ar10 for the hell of it?Aim - A few hours of 'warming up' seems to unlock some FC potential but my aim is very inconsistent, I can't FC 5+ star maps (my first 5+ star FC was a 5.29 so I overshot a little, still I'm not really able to do it).
- Have you attempted to fix them yet, and if so, how did you approach it and how successful have you been so far?I just play everything I can and hope no skill falls behind
- How much effort are you putting into the issue? for ex. are you practicing 260bpm deathstreams 18 hours a day or are you just playing rog unlimitation once in a while to increase your streaming speed?I always play osu, always clicking circles
- Things you used to be bad at, but eventually got better after doing x.I used to get 160-200 unstable rate, but then I acknowledged the existence of accuracy and got to 80-120.
- Also feel free to talk about the aspects you consider to be your strengthsAccuracy to some extent - OD<9.666 is not a problem
i'm literally doing the exact same things from start to endpandaBee wrote:
My weakness is everything. I suck at everything. There is not a single thing i am good at in this game. I am probably one of the worst osu players in the world.
I'm struggling with adjusting my tablet settings to find a comfortable area and a corresponding style of holding/positioning my pen. Nothing seems to really click in even after extensive testing. I'm trying to remedy this by trying out different styles once in a while, getting accustomed to it and seeing if it's better than the previous one. I don't switch styles until I feel that I've hit a steep slope in terms of practiced required for improvement. In other words I plateau out, then dabble in something else for a while. Everything always feels uncomfortable for me so I'm constantly trying new things, though not so often as to ruin any chances of developing muscle memory. Cool thing is that there tends to be a lot of carry-over between styles, at least for me that is, so it's not as big of a deal as I would have imagined.
Ironically the only weakness i have complete control over is the fact that i play too much in one sitting. When you play too much I feel that it's counterproductive. You start getting bored/frustrated, your fingers and wrists are fatigued so they don't move as fluidly, your eyes are worn out from staring at flashing circles all day... It's a recipe for fostering mediocre plays and bad habits.
So I've pretty much started to force myself not to play osu once in a while. I feel like some kind of circle clicking addict. I just have to have my fix of clicking circles else I'll cut someone's head off. As I drift to sleep at night I can see hitcircles floating around in my vision and it's starting to make me feel a little strange about this game and about the state of my life. Thanks for reading my blog.

my brain seems to start playing the game as soon as im about to fall asleep, sometimes i even recall dreaming about clicking circles which results in waking up with an awkward dissatisfaction about not performing well on a map that I haven't even actually played in real life
thats kind of how the brain works i guess but it feels really weird sometimes
Sounds like you have a case of osu ADD. Personally I find retrying a map too many times to have the same effect on me. I concluded that it was simply because i was too bored so i stop taking the map as seriously and end up making silly mistakes where I would never make them.[ Momiji ] wrote:
Accuracy - I can't get good acc on very slow maps, very slow parts, or maps with huge gaps in the music/objects
I don't even know what is this - when I retry a map a 3-5 times, I start misreading it. Seemingly random, affects patterns that I haven't misread before. When I retry a map 20-300 times (enough to memorize it decently), I will start to always misread the same moments. I think this is how I can describe it. Miss on the same jump 3 times in a row ---> from now on, I will not attempt this jump, for I will proceed to wave my cursor around for a second like a retard instead.

- What would you consider to be your major weaknesses?Double taps are too hard for me, along with streams. I can never read streams especially when I try to listen to the song, it just doesn't add up sometimes.
- Have you attempted to fix them yet, and if so, how did you approach it and how successful have you been so far?I haven't looked into my double tap problem since I just found out about it. In the past I had streaming maps I'd practice daily, although I did notice some improvement, it did make me mash instead of actually following the tempo of the song.
- How much effort are you putting into the issue? Not much effort
- Things you used to be bad at, but eventually got better after doing x.I used a mouse for the longest time and I noticed on some maps I'd end up playing in the corners of the mousepad, and I'd get so uncomfortable that I would end up failing songs because of it. I ended up trying out my girlfriends tablet to see how they work, it took a bit of tweaking with the sensitivity, but it was incredibly accurate! The next day I went out and bought myself a tablet and I have only been playing a little bit since I got it, but I'm already noticing an improvement on stamina and accuracy.
