Honestly, I find conscription to be something of utter importance in a country - not only because of the military service itself, but also as a form of discipline. Also being next to the historically somewhat unpredictable Russia doesn't really help.
I can definitely relate to that, as Turkey's presence in the Balkans is not something this country needs, especially since Russia is feeding Turkey money on top of the west arming it.

The weather is a lot cooler and temperate here thankfully, although it never snows. My favourite season I think is Autumn, where it's nice and crisp and scenic, yet doesn't rain every day. Right now it's the middle of summer; it's 22 degrees, but for some reason the humidity is 44%, since my bedroom is basically an attic I'm suffering
