Lol, Chen is the direct opposite: you start from the middle and stream vertically.

@Crimson: I've been a bit busy lately. Playing Touhou doesn't really take up more than 30 minutes of my time so I had time to unlock Phantasm :|

I'm sure I'd be shot if I said I was a fan of Senae.

I'm proud because I've managed to 1cc Subterranean Animism Reimu A and Reimu C on Normal consecutively. Well aware that's easy for probably most people in this thread, but it's never happened to me before. </spiel>

Don't worry I still struggle to 1CC Normal of TH11 and TH12 too (I've done it once, but the chances of me doing it are extremely low atm, but I'm using Marisa so w/e). There are still people who haven't played the game for more than half a year you know.

hmm i've downloaded the touhou virtual on clone. but i am kinda pissed off when either reimu or cirno beat my ass off with their special moves. is there any way to make those special moves?

I was having what I thought was my best MoF run at the moment, dying only twice in Stage 4 and clearing Stage 5 cleanly while maintaining a power of more than 4 against Sanae, capturing all her cards and more blllll after that. AND I finally beat up Momiji without getting hit first.

Then BAM, Domino Effect of Deaths on Stage 6. This was just freaking stupid; I suddenly forgot to excessively bomb like what I did in Stage 4, missing out a lot of opportunities to deathbomb and whatnot, completely fucking up Kanako's waves and bllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll.

This was Marisa-C btw, which is proving to be the strongest shot type (in terms of power) for me (not counting Marisa-B glitch) as of the moment, and is currently my favorite MoF shot type (having fun with TH08 solo-Remilia atm too) mainly because of its insanely high power, and contrary to the names Marisa-A isn't the most powerful shot type.

But Kanako just had to be the partycrasher like she always is. Maybe I'll try again next time >_>

I'd also like to note that Kanako reduced my Faith all the way from 450000 to 100000. Bah.

Azure, that's one of the most difficult cards to capture atm >_> Every people I know who tried that needed at least 400 shots... I myself haven't captured it yet.

Plus, you only need to capture 1 card to unlock Level 10 lol.

It's weird, really: I'm almost done with EX but I still can't clear more than 2 scenes on level 9 >_>

I never ended up clearing ANY of stage 8; I ended up getting the 38 levels cleared to unlock stage 9 beforehand.

I always found Shou's curvy lasers to be her easiest attack, and everything else she throws at me wipes me out :(

I dunno why, but I find Shou easier than Youmu... except in Double Spoiler. I hated Shou in DS for some reason.

The last card doesn't have any moving lasers. It's just a bunch of lines that break apart and turn into glowing bullets.

Unless you mean the card before that. My strategy for that is very simple: Push X.

Also Zekira, try Shou on Lunatic.

That thing goes spin-spin-spin and then it heads at an awkward angle. No problem if I'm already at an area I won't be hit, but sometimes I forget to release focus and can't avoid it fast enough :/

Also liking Marisa A's option shot, but I always crash into a bullet due to her speed.

OK now I realize why I hate playing UFO...

...Stage 2 and 3 fairies. IMO their bullet patterns are more of annoying rather than challenging. I seriously don't think this is how Stage 2 and Stage 3 fairies should behave.

Once I get past Stage 3 I feel like I'm playing normally again though. Yeah, it usually also means I lose more lives in Stage 3 rather than Stage 4.

Green UFOs FTW! EAT SHORTWAVE, BITCHES. Now if only that spell lasted a liiiiiiiiiiitle bit longer...

Lol, I aim for Reds from stage 1-3 and then juggle between Greens and Reds. Usually fuck up and lose a life while doing so in stage 4/5.


EDIT: Tore apart MoF with Marisa's glitched shot just now. Shit that felt good. Not as good as when clearing IN, but still good.

Marisa's speed helps a LOT in this card. Too bad that speed kinda makes her a really bad choice to battle Murasa with.

Marisa-B's area-shot also helps A LOT in capturing this card. Given that you won't be on focus too much on this one, Marisa-B will be shooting in 4 directions behind her and 6 directions (?) in front of her. If you come in almost melee contact with Shou, then you're pretty much eating up her life. Too bad that cross moves its origin unlike Ran's laser.

Now I've tried the other characters this time. Taking a break from Marisa.

For some odd reason, I feel most comfortable playing as Sanae B instead of Marisa-A/B at the moment. Mainly because at least this time Stage 3 isn't such a threat anymore and I can actually get to Stage 6 comfortably with at least 3 lives remaining. If only there was a way I could use SanaeB on Stage 1-3 and Marisa-B on 4-6, I'd probably be a happy UFO player right now.

Actually, I kinda didn't expect SanaeB's bomb to be so powerful. First I casted it, I was like "...uh, is this going to be as useless as Patchouli's Five Seasons Bomb?", then later when it went BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM, I was like "OH FUCK THIS IS THE FOURTH MOST AWESOME SPELL CARD I HAVE EVER SEEN"

Actually Nazrin and Shou are not my Problem at loosing lives, the Problem is more the Stage D: BUT Stage 5 is one of the best Stage for Scoreing xP
Btw Shou's hardest Spell is her first Spellcard o_O

SanaeB is the best character in UFO, because when she Bombs, you can Supergraze ^^

Seriously, sometimes I find that the stages are harder than the bosses, since you can get attacked from many angles while the boss only attacks from at most 4 angles.

Oh god, not again. Domino Death effect ate me up and made me rage.

I was going in Stage 4 with 8 lives. Yes, 8 lives. I was farming reds like crazy, letting them spill their bonuses before making them explode, and you know the jist. I was able to keep myself safe for the entire Stage 3, and only lost 1 life in Stage 4 fairies...

...and suddenly Murasa wants to crash the party by eating up the rest of my lives.

Shit the fuck, I have never had such a more outrageous run than this. Starting with the max lives, and at Murasa's timeout card I was already running at 0 lives.

The problem with Marisa-B is that her bomb pretty much does not do much damage on bosses. Furthermore, Marisa-B's singleshot power below max is insanely low, and Marisa-B's general power below 3.00 is so insignificant. Once my power goes down to less than 3, I think that's pretty much the end of my run then? That's what happened here, apparetly... >_<

Come on damn it I wanna at least 1CC Th12 a second time >_<

So... i wonder if i can beat the game now with the patch xD damn 99 floors....

Kinema Kan is something like just a series of music videos portraying a story. I'm not sure what you call that.

Many who've been looking forward to it had a misconception of it being an animé. I'm not one of them I swear

Yukari's patterns are nothing. Given the heaviness of the bullets, trying to dodge Alice's and Yuka's are more annoying

@ zekira. i was one of them. i had a misconception of kinema kan being an anime. a bit disappointed but after i watch the videos i am still impressed of it even though its only music videos.

Crap, I can't get on anymore - I managed most of the Scarlet Library, but I have nothing in the Art Atelier. PM me either here or through YouTube if you want to see if I managed to archive the story you want.

EDIT: I don't think this is a joke. CMPC is gone, all the mods are back down to normal (though all the snowballs, bans, etc remain), and even the former mods are hard at work archiving everything.

EDIT2: Yup, gone. It's already gone 403 - Forbidden. *sigh*

My eyes freaking hurt from trying Phantasm 20 times in a row at the moment.

But at least I'm proud to say that I've reached until Border of Life and Death! Just some more patience and I can feel the finish finally coming.

But Boundary of Humans and Youkai was a bitchy card though... just like when I first went into Kokkuri-san's Contract; deliberately lost 3 lives in a span of 20 seconds without my thumb being at Button3 to bomb, and then later when I'm stuck in the middle that's the time I actually don't die.

But after BoLaD though, I see there's still one more HP Bar. I'm kinda curious as to what Yukari will pull off at that last one. I thought BoLaD was her strongest card (aside from her IN Last Word)...?

If you want to know, the last one past BoLaD is a survival card - in fact, it's most of her IN Last Word "Phantasm, Foam, Shadow". Just take out the waves not made of amulets and you have your card.

Yeah, maybe. No notice (his last dump gave us at least a week), April 1, etc is suspicious, but we just can't take that chance, yanno?

If it turns out to be a fake, even if he didn't dump everything anyway, there'll be a lot of people pissed off. Either way, I'll check it out later today and tomorrow just in case.

by the way, does anyone know, how to get a good connection for PoFV? Cause when i played with some friends in my own country and in Germany, i always get a FPS of 5~20. But i need at least 45 fps? Does anyone knows the problem or something like this? D:

God damn finally! The last game I needed to finish! Now I can say I 1CC'd all the Touhou games in a difficulty above Easy! (including 1-5)

So I tried out Extra... and I kinda thought it was really easy because of the really basic fairies (I mean really, they only fire straight :|)... then Patchouli came and ate my sparks as I was forced to take them out. Flandre slapped me hard on the first 2 HP Bars and bllllllllllllllllllll.

Will try again once I finish TH07 Phantasm

In DS news, Stage 12 is kicking my ass seven ways to Sunday. Not to mention the requirements to unlock the EX Stage is almost half of the 108 available stages - and I'll need to do even more to unlock Spoiler. I am so screwed.

I'm putting up replays of the DS scenes after I complete them (assuming I actually remember to save them), so look for them at my channel.

So Siki decided to WoDhax me at the exact moment when I was sure she was gonna get hit already. I mean, I already had both Fairy and Witch spells thrown at her, boss attack was there and I just got an EX Item and I looked at the other screen and she was hugging the bottom wall, and she's pretty much surrounded by millions of stars up front.

...then wall of death comes in and fucks me instead.
