This queue is such a good idea. Having queue's like this actually improves all modding queues since it will allow maps going for ranked to not be spammed out by maps that aren't really ready for rank at all. I hope this really takes off because this is the hand that new mappers need to get them into the mapping community with respectable maps.
If you have the time, please look at this mapset:
https://osu.ppy.sh/s/239635 . I've gone through a lot of learning stages and think I have a map that is good enough to be considered for modding with the eventual goal of being ranked. It'd be great to know before I start asking for mods if I'm on the right track. I think the problems that I'd like to see addressed are as follows:
General:
There are some design issues throughout the mapset, but I think this would be fixed after some mods. (Example: Normal 00:32:021 (2) - , 00:30:928 (3,1) - )
I think I use the same distance snap too much, so it lacks some of the fluctuations of energy for the harder difficulties.
The slider at 01:32:803 (1) - feels like it ought to have a nice hitsound to match the singer's inflection, but I hate whistle and don't know what to do.
Normal:
I didn't have a rhythm that supported the hitsounds of the other maps, so I took a more liberal approach which probably has some poor sounding notes.
I use 1/2 at 01:55:771 (5,6) - and onwards and don't know if this throws the difficulty consistency out the window that a Normal is looking for. I considered using 3/2 sliders but the section to me felt like it demanded more than that.
Medium:
This stack seems like it wouldn't be read easily, so I may have to change it, but I really like this pattern .... 00:16:553 (2,1) -
More but I should probably shut up now XD
Anyway thanks for the consideration and good luck with the queue.
