Bon, j'ai besoin de kudo! Du coup j'ai décider d'utiliser la façon la plus compliquée que je conaisse pour en chopper un: modder un marathon de 24 minutes! Fuck Yeah! Mais bon, entre temps drafura m'a shoot une star donc j'ai plus besoin du kudo maintenant mais bon je t'avais dit que je modderais alors ben j'ai quand même tenu ma promesse. Par contre entre temps je suis tombé malade. La je suis sous medoc et ça va mieux. Alors commençons le mod.

(P.S. attention je me comporte bizarrement sur la fin du mod. C'est juste les medocs qui perdent leurs effets, le fait que j'ai pas dormit depuis 27h et le fait que j'ai pris du vin ce matin, le tout combiné.)

Mais avant a mon impression de ta map: On dirait un mélange du kenterz que j'ai moddé la dernière fois et de chinese mapping. Le résultat est plutôt original et c'est plutôt une bonne chose. L’intérêt des marathons c'est l'originalité avant tout et je pense que ta map mérite clairement d'être approved. Sachant que je considère que les 3/4 des marathons qui ont été approved récemment ne le méritent pas ca veux dire quelque chose!
Enusite ta map a quand même encore besoin de quelques mods mais lorsqu'elle aura été bien polished ca sera de la bombe!

[General]
Tout d'abord, si ça t’intéresse j'ai le replay de ma partie ou j'ai testée ta map. Vu que je suppose que t'as pas du avoir une tonne de testplay complet ça peux peut-être t’intéresser.

Tu sais que pour les approval tu n'es pas obligé d'apeller ta diff marathon? Je dis pas que "marathon" c'est pourri mais je te de dit d'y réfléchir au cas où tu aurais idée d'un nom cool!

Pourquoi HP5 avec OD8? Ca va pas ensemble! Je comprend de mettre un faible HP pour éviter les fails à la 18eme minutes à cause de quelques miss mais le fait que tu choisisse OD8 ça fait bizarre. Parce que tu demandes quand même un certain niveau de précision et tu augmentes la difficulté des streams. Sachant que tu as une map pleine de stream c'est assez contradictoire avec le faible HP. En gros je te conseille de prendre HP5 OD7 ou HP6 OD8 (je trouve que c'est lui qui colle le mieux au marathon) mais je trouve que HP5 OD8 c'est vraiment bizarre.

C'est quoi ces tags? Regarde les autres marathons qui sont des compilations de chansons! Ils ont beaucoup plus de tags! Bon je ne dit pas d'ajouter TOUT les titres des chansons mais au moins les trucs les plus connus pour que les gens aient le plus de chance de tomber sur ta map. Aussi ajouter red green blue gold silver cristal puisque c'est de ces jeux que sont extraites les musiques remixées.

J'ai trouvé le timing légèrement off a différents endroits. Genre 08:33:261 (1) . En ralentissant on entend bien que les notes sont bien trop tôt par rapport au beat. Le BPM a l'air d'être bon dans l’ensemble de la map mais je te conseille vivement de faire check tout les offsets. Ça m'ettonnerait qu'ils soient tous correct.

[Poké-Marathon]
Rhythm
  1. 00:24:287 - Il y a une note ici! Peut-être rajoute là sur la tête de 00:24:366 (2)?
  2. 01:07:629 (3) - A vrai dire la musique fait plutôt ça ici:
  3. 01:36:366 (3) - Change ce slider en 2 notes? Ca colle plus avec le "ah ah ah ah" de la musique. Tu as une note pour chaque "ah".
  4. 02:36:682 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - Si on suit bien la musique le rythme adapté ne devrait pas plutôt être:
  5. 04:31:550 (1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4,5) - Rythmiquement, 04:31:550 (1,2,3,4,5,6) et 04:32:892 (1,2,3,4,5) sont les mêmes mais bizarrement les rythmes que tu as utilisés sont différents. 04:33:208 (3,4) sont plus court que 04:31:945 (3,4) de 1/4 et 04:32:577 (5,6) est devenu un simple 1/2 beat long slider. Je pense que tu aurais du utiliser un rythme similaire à 04:31:550 (1,2,3,4,5,6) pour 04:32:892 (1,2,3,4,5).
  6. 10:44:490 - Il y a une note ici, en plein sur le white tic! C'est pas vraiment le genre de note qu'il faut ignorer.
Placement/Aesthetic
  1. 00:13:945 (1,2) - Ce jump est beaucoup trop abusé. C'est normal de faire augmenter en difficulté tes jumps ici mais celui est beaucoup trop difficile comparé aux autres. En plus le fait que la musique devient de plus en plus intense rend incohérent le fait que le jump suivant 00:14:577 (3,5) est plus simple (si, si, même avec le 1/4 ce jump est quand même plus simple).
    Comme alternative je te propose ça:
    1 est stacké sur 3 et 2 est stacké sur 4/5. Je trouve que ça va bien avec les stacks de 00:12:682 (1,2,3,4).

  3. 00:31:471 (4,1,4) - Allons, dans les 2 cas tu as deux beats puissants les uns a la suite des autres et tu les mets dans des sliders? La musique crie JUMP ici! Change ses sliders en 2 notes avec un bon jump entre les notes! Ou à la limite garde le slider mais met un jump entre ce slider et l'objet qui le précède. On dirait que tu as ignoré ces powerful beats dans cette partie de la map. a partir de 01:00:682 tu le fait bien mieux dans cette partie-là.
  4. 00:33:682 (3,1) - Cette blanket est très mal faite... C'est aussi la seule que je mentionnerait (même si j'en voie d'autres genre 05:42:682 (2,3)) car c'est la seule que j'ai remarquée en jouant.
  5. 03:29:735 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) - Beaucoup de problème avec cette section. Tout d'abord, les 1/4 dans la musique commencent à 03:30:050 (3) donc ton stream devrait commencer là. De plus dans ton stream tu utilises des slider 1/4 a une distance x1 ce que tu ne fais NULLE PART AILLEURS DANS TA MAP DE 20 MINUTES. Tu as toujours des jumps entre les sliders 1/4. Attention je n'ai rien contre varier les patterns mais utiliser une fois ce pattern particulier alors que tu l'utilise nulle part ailleurs c'est confus, et je l'ai remarqué lors de mon play! Ca m'a beaucoup surpris sur le coup voilà pourquoi j'insiste. Enfin bon, les 2 trucs combiné je conseil un léger remap ici.
  6. 04:03:998 (1,2,3,4) - Pourquoi décaler 1 et 3 mais pas 2 et 4? Soit tu décales personne, soit tu décalle 3 et 4 de la même façon mais si t'en décale qu'un et pas l'autre ca fait vraiment bizarre. Ca m'a vraiment perturbé et fait break mon combo d'ailleurs.

Toi, ta map a un certain style et voir ce pattern dedans, non seulement il n'a pas vraiment l'air à sa place mais en plus il sera assez confus. La encore ce pattern n'est utilisé qu'une seule fois durant tout le marathon! Il n'a pas vraiment ça place ici. Mais bon, voilà une alternative avec un pattern similaire mais beaucoup plus simple à anticiper et à jouer:

  9. 10:40:090 (1,2,3) - Evite ce genre de pattern tant qu'on est dans la partie calme de la chanson.
  10. 10:43:490 (2,3,4,5) - NOPE!!!!!!! Tiens et je vais rajouter des points d'exclamation bonus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tu ne fais pas jouer des 1/8 comme ça au joueurs! Retire les notes a la fin et ajoute un reverse aux 2 sliders mais ne fait pas ça. Tu te rend compte que pour jouer ça il faut reacher la touche que l'on a enfoncée sur le slider puis appuyer sur la touche pour la note avec 1/8 de battement de marge!!!!! C'est de la folie même a 150 BPM! En plus en faisant ça 10:43:890 (4,5,6,7,8,9) deviendra moins confus comme pattern.

L’intérêt des marathons c'est l'originalité avant tout et je pense que ta map mérite clairement d'être approved. Sachant que je considère que les 3/4 des marathons qui ont été approved récemment ne le méritent pas ca veux dire quelque chose!
Enusite ta map a quand même encore besoin de quelques mods mais lorsqu'elle aura été bien polished ca sera de la bombe!

Tu sais que pour les approval tu n'es pas obligé d'apeller ta diff marathon? Je dis pas que "marathon" c'est pourri mais je te de dit d'y réfléchir au cas où tu aurais idée d'un nom cool!

Pourquoi HP5 avec OD8? Ca va pas ensemble! Je comprend de mettre un faible HP pour éviter les fails à la 18eme minutes à cause de quelques miss mais le fait que tu choisisse OD8 ça fait bizarre. Parce que tu demandes quand même un certain niveau de précision et tu augmentes la difficulté des streams. Sachant que tu as une map pleine de stream c'est assez contradictoire avec le faible HP. En gros je te conseille de prendre HP5 OD7 ou HP6 OD8 (je trouve que c'est lui qui colle le mieux au marathon) mais je trouve que HP5 OD8 c'est vraiment bizarre.

C'est quoi ces tags? Regarde les autres marathons qui sont des compilations de chansons! Ils ont beaucoup plus de tags! Bon je ne dit pas d'ajouter TOUT les titres des chansons mais au moins les trucs les plus connus pour que les gens aient le plus de chance de tomber sur ta map. Aussi ajouter red green blue gold silver cristal puisque c'est de ces jeux que sont extraites les musiques remixées.

J'ai trouvé le timing légèrement off a différents endroits. Genre 08:33:261 (1) . En ralentissant on entend bien que les notes sont bien trop tôt par rapport au beat. Le BPM a l'air d'être bon dans l’ensemble de la map mais je te conseille vivement de faire check tout les offsets. Ça m'ettonnerait qu'ils soient tous correct.

Merci du fond du coeur rezoons. Je pense que parmis tout les mods que j'ai reçu depuis mes débuts sur ce jeu, les 2 que tu m'a fait sont de loin les meilleur et ceux qui m'ont le plus aidé.

Ah la la, j'ai dormi 15 heures cette nuit et je suis guéri maintenant. Je viens de relire mon mod et OUAH! Faut vraiment que j’arrête de mod des marathons après avoir fait une nuit blanche et en étant sous médoc... A la fin on dirait vraiment que mon cerveau implose.

au cas où tu veuilles le reprendre. Et pour la difficulté ne t'en fait pas. Dis toi que Blue Dragon a fait un marathon de 17 minutes http://osu.ppy.sh/b/112922 et il a mappé les 20 dernières secondes 10000000x plus dur que le reste de la map. Ce qui est très RAGEANT! mais comparé à ça, ton stream de fin plus espacé c'est rien. Au contraire c'est une bonne façon de finir la map avec un pattern légèrement plus dur (et pas débilement plus dur comme dans le cas de BD) que les gens ont peu de chance de fail s'ils ont survécu au reste du marathon avec HP6.

En tout cas vu que le kudo en fait il me sert plus à rien vu que draf m'a filé une étoile pour comblé le SP qu'il me manquait ben autant te le donner tu le mérite. Grace à toi j'ai un magnifique marathon de chanson pokemon de difficulté pile poil adapté à mon niveau. Un mod et une étoile c'est le minimum que je puisse faire pour te remercier. :) (Pokemon rouge est même le tout premier jeux vidéo que j'ai joué de ma vie, alors autant dire que de réécouter toutes ces chansons ça a un super effet nostalgique ^^)

au cas où tu veuilles le reprendre. Et pour la difficulté ne t'en fait pas. Dis toi que Blue Dragon a fait un marathon de 17 minutes http://osu.ppy.sh/b/112922 et il a mappé les 20 dernières secondes 10000000x plus dur que le reste de la map. Ce qui est très RAGEANT! mais comparé à ça, ton stream de fin plus espacé c'est rien. Au contraire c'est une bonne façon de finir la map avec un pattern légèrement plus dur (et pas débilement plus dur comme dans le cas de BD) que les gens ont peu de chance de fail s'ils ont survécu au reste du marathon avec HP6.

En tout cas vu que le kudo en fait il me sert plus à rien vu que draf m'a filé une étoile pour comblé le SP qu'il me manquait ben autant te le donner tu le mérite. Grace à toi j'ai un magnifique marathon de chanson pokemon de difficulté pile poil adapté à mon niveau. Un mod et une étoile c'est le minimum que je puisse faire pour te remercier. :) (Pokemon rouge est même le tout premier jeux vidéo que j'ai joué de ma vie, alors autant dire que de réécouter toutes ces chansons ça a un super effet nostalgique ^^)
Pour mon stream, je préfère le laisser (j'ai un peu changer le paterne de la fin).
Je suis content que la map te plaise, et j'espère que j'obtiendrais quelque chose à l'issue du mod que va me faire Irreverisble ٩(・ヮ・*)و

Just edit the .osu file manually. Given the amount of inherited timing points you have, that would be faster anyway.

Marathon
  1. 00:02:210 (4,4) - These two sliders break the comboing. For consistency and respect to the song, the new combos should be on the big white tick (just like 00:01:263 (1) - ) but because you have a sliderend there, you can't add them at these points, which forces you to add them on the note after which is wrong and inconsistent.
  2. 00:05:052 (1) - You could have made an effort and blanket this with 00:04:105 (2) - .
  3. 00:08:526 (5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,1,2,3) - Inconsistent 1/4 spacing. This matters more than you may think (see below), but make the spacing on the 1/4 consistent (I'd suggest 0.5x rather than 1x for the beginning). This goes for the entire section until the break.
  4. 00:14:526 (3,4,5,6) - First of all, (4) is not needed and doesn't follow anything in the song. Second of all, this pattern is hella confusing, difficult to play and unintuitive because of the massive 1/4 jump that you force and that doesn't fit at all. You should focus on the 1/2 drum kicks then go back to 1/4 if you wish, but this jump is not fitting and should be remove. Also, remove (6) to focus on the kicks as I said. Also 00:14:526 (3,5) - should continue the circle motion, which was fairly decent, instead of breaking it for the sake of unfitting 1/4.
  5. 00:14:526 (3,5) - Same as above. This 1/4 does not fit. Also, this kind of pattern 00:16:737 (2,3,4) - looks and plays atrociously bad. What's the point of only stacking two of the beats ? It's confusing because of the spacing (which looks like 1/2) and uneven movement for something that is supposedly not uneven. If it's meant to be uneven, use a 1/4 slider then a circle, but not three circles.
  6. 00:17:684 (9,1) - Because of the very inconsistent spacing before, there is no way to tell whether this is a normal 1/2 or another randomly spaced 1/4. That is why making the 1/4 spacing consistent is crucial to this first part.
  7. 00:17:684 (9,1,2,3,4) - This is wrong in every possible way. First of all, the new combo should be on (9). Second of all, you are using offbeat sliders (sliders that start on a red tick) on a part of the song with heavily accentuated white ticks, which you have ignored because they are sliderends. This plays completely off because of that. You're clicking on nothing in the song and ignore the actual strong beats. Also, of course, 00:18:789 (4) - ruins the comboing (the new combo should be on its end).
  8. 00:19:263 (1) - See ^. This new combo is misplaced. And make 00:19:263 (1,2,3) - a perfect triangle or something.
  9. 00:20:210 (1) - to 00:22:263 (5) - first of all, the rhythm is wrong. It should be circle-circle-1/2slider repeat. The rhythm is made of 4 beats: 00:20:210 (1,2,3) - three strong ones, then one weak one. You have the first strong beat and the weak beat emphasized with circles, the second strong beat emphasized with a slider head, but the third strong beat is skipped because of the slider end, which plays awfully wrong. You should change the rhythm into that, then add a jump after the sliderend to separate the rhythm better.
  10. 00:24:632 (4) - Common sense requires this to be 3/4 long, and not 1/1, just like 00:24:316 (3) - .
    For the whole section above: it's the introduction and you're already using heavy 1/4, sliderjumps, confusing streams, and everything that i counterintuitive and difficult to play. For an introduction, especially to a marathon, you should have done something a bit easier to let the player warm up.

  12. 00:31:421 (4,5,6,1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - This could use sliders. There are very clear strong beats in the song but you're not trying to emphasize them because everything is circles. Also if you wanted to be consistent with yourself this one should be a 3/4 slider then a 1/2 slider, not 1/2-1/4-1/2.
  17. 00:37:737 (5,1) - Oh hey, this slider is pretty cool for once. It goes well with the emphasized beats in the song and the slight jump after it fits the variations of volume on the notes.
  18. 00:39:158 (1,2,3,4,5) - And THAT is why the pattern I pointed out 00:39:158 (1,2,3) - is confusing and unintuitive. This looks like 00:39:790 (4) - is 1/4 after 00:39:474 (3) - in every possible way you could ever look at it: same pattern as 00:39:158 (1,2,3) - (the 1/4 use on (2) is overmapped, btw), slightly higher jump than (1,2), and a clear build up in the song. Except it's 1/2.
  19. 00:39:790 (4,5,6) - This rhythm is wrong either way. The strong beats are 00:39:790 - 00:40:027 - 00:40:264 - and these are what should have been clicked. This would have been a perfect place to use 1/2 sliders that are 1/4 apart, not your weird rhythm. Also, space them properly or add a jump after them, because 00:40:106 (6,1) - looks like they are 1/4 apart because of the unnecessary jump on 00:39:869 (5,6) - and the confusing spacing on 00:39:158 (1,2,3,4,5) - right before.
  20. 00:41:053 (4,1) - I wouldn't consider this rankable in this context. There is no back-and-forth of any kind in the song at this moment that could justify and overlapping pattern like this.

Except it's 1/2.
  19. 00:39:790 (4,5,6) - This rhythm is wrong either way. The strong beats are 00:39:790 - 00:40:027 - 00:40:264 - and these are what should have been clicked. This would have been a perfect place to use 1/2 sliders that are 1/4 apart, not your weird rhythm. Also, space them properly or add a jump after them, because 00:40:106 (6,1) - looks like they are 1/4 apart because of the unnecessary jump on 00:39:869 (5,6) - and the confusing spacing on 00:39:158 (1,2,3,4,5) - right before.
  20. 00:41:053 (4,1) - I wouldn't consider this rankable in this context. There is no back-and-forth of any kind in the song at this moment that could justify and overlapping pattern like this.
    00:42:316 (3,4,5) - THIS is what you should have done at 00:39:790 (4,5,6) - (minus the weird 1/4 slider, but that's my personal taste). THIS is cool.

Guess I'd volunteer helping out with IRC things aswell if you so need (or want) that - note though that like Shiro, I'm probably not going to hit you up with a full-26-minute-30000-word wallmod because that would just take centuries to go through, write, apply and reply to, so I'll leave you with this thread for now as it covers a lot of issues your map is having.

It's fixable but it'll take a lot of effort due to the length.. 's worth it though, believe :V

I still have a few things to say about it (no time for a full mod), these are the major things I noticed:
00:35:369 (1,2) - kinda confusing, this 3/4 is the first appearance in the whole map so the spacing makes it looks like it's 1/2 before the next slider, you should compress this one and maybe the next few ones to make sure the player knows that 3/4 is a rhythm that is used

No. I think it's generaly fine now, I fixed a lot of patterns, so others things will just be small details in my opinion.

1242 seems too early for me, I checked with 25% and it doesn't seems to be really this.

I'm going to try to find the good BPMs tomorrow

Popped since the timing wasn't correct.
I checked everything with 25% of playback rate and changed some timing points (and inherited points)

It seems to be ready now...
