Only-claps or something would work. And if you want to copy only certain parts, just create a new diff and remove unneeded objects.
When I was mapping last song, I even did a separate "hitsounds" diff for this (filled with 1/4s with all the hitsounds).

And do you read the op? YES, it does copy the sampleset settings (but it doesn't copy the timing points).

..why we would need that for Taiko tbh? Creating Taiko Diffs is mostly adding Hitsounds. v:

However, fantastic Idea for people who dislikes to hitsound their Stuff. :P
Also it's nice to avoid Inconsistency at the Hitsounds.

Not sure if this is intentional(?) or a bug, but the title/artist unicode will be nonsense characters after coping.

For example: Try to use this awesome tool to copy the hitsounds in Hard diff to the Easy diff.

I think that's a local issue, I've used it at least for 3 mapsets of mine and the Unicode data had no changes.

Guys, my pc has broken and I lost all the sources, so no fixes/changes/mania implementations are gonna be done :D

Just something I noticed while using this:

It doesn't properly copy hitsounds from spinners. I was using soft hitsounds but there was a spinner with a normal finish sound that didn't copy over.

Great program though, love it!

It didn't copy EVERYTHING properly. 1.6 is a shitty bugged poop program. It just doesn't work.
I've totally redone it, so Hitsounds copier 2.0 coming out quite soon. Seems to work much better than previous version so far.

I've noticed that since this recent update the copier bugs up with multiple timing points either for flat-line BPM changes for multiple timing signatures or multiple BPM changes.

Try it out on http://osu.ppy.sh/s/94917 (my Iris map) and just copy one of the sounds between each other to get the odd bug.

Double posting but whatever.

Since this second iteration of Hitsound Copier;
  1. Metadata is sometimes messed up.
  2. Combo colours are completely removed from your .osu file.
  3. Pre-existing multiple timing points be it BPM changes or just signature change (at random) get messed up.

It seems that the problems are fixed now.
It didn't properly copy floating point values from the timing section, was cutting precision. Now it doesn't mess up the timing.
Also yeah, a stupid bug with missing combo colours is fixed too.
Also I found out that it doesn't understand when a green line is placed at the same point as the red line. Fixed this too.
I don't know how this can mess up metadata though, it's just getting copied as is.

Anyway, 2.1 is out.

Edit: a tiny fix, 2.1.1 now.

For some reason the first two inherited timing points of the map turned into regular timing points of -600BPM, it kept the correct SV and hitsound volume so I could just inherit it, but it was odd.
Didn't test if it happened constantly or how it happened, but it just happened (no screenshot either, sowy)

I have a quick question: I tested it and it looks like that only submited maps can copy hitsounds and not submited map can't, is that true cuz i'm not so sure.

How come? You can use it for any map. Just browse and find the folder with your map in osu!/Songs.
I used it for my contest map.

You did Mania diff to Mania diff, right? Since the program doesn't do Mania -> Standard and vice versa.
If you didn't, then there might be something in the map that caused the program to derp, or your two .osu files might be somehow different (Mainly offset)

How long is the process supposed to take? For me the program just freezes, taking up a full core and seemingly does nothing.

EDIT: Left it running for 30 minutes. This is 100% a bug.

The copier has no response when I use it since the update of v13 notepad format.

I've reinstalled windows and i don't have Qt static build here, and I have a job now, so sorry, this is ABANDONED for now.

There was no update on this program for 7 months. But the .osu file structure could have been changed.

Is it possible to make the settings save-able? The program can read settings from a single .ini file or so, so that I don't need to turn some settings on or off (like I always feel like a backup, but never copy the greenline volumes)

Edit: Okay this is abandoned... Sad

The development has been abandoned because I've reinstalled windows and addidentally forgot to backup the source code.
I might remake this from the very beginning sometime though.

Not sure if you still support this grumd, but when I used the copier when copying from the higher diff to the lower diff, the copier started hanging.

Try maybe moving the application to another location. It happened to me due to not enough permissions I think.

Thanks for the idea, strangely enough moving it to the .osu files to the desktop worked.

Edit: made them all uninherited sections but they work

I think i found away to avoid crashing when trying to copy hitsounds

  1. Go into your song folder, right click and select "Customise this folder"
    You should get a screen that looks like this
  2. Change the "Optimise this folder for:" option to "General Items"
  3. You should now be able to copy hitsounds as per normal using the tool
I've only tested for myself so i don't know if this will work 100% of the time, but as soon as i changed it i was able to copy hitsounds without the application crashing

For some reason my hytsound copier stopped working properly
At first everything worked as it should, but then suddenly instead of copiing the hitsound it just sets them to Auto, Auto.
I even tried downloading new one


EDIT: I just accidentally changed timing on my beatmaps

When you used it, usually the diff that was pasted with the copied hitsound tends to add a negative BPM causing the map to go haywire. (in my case, it randomly add -600 BPM on my diff QQ). Deleting that added BPM will fix it, Besides polishing the hitsounding on lower diffs due to hit objects present.

Does a the length of a map determine crashes to the software? It worked on a map i did that was 30 seconds long, but i recently just did one to a 3:30 map and it crashed as soon as i clicked "copy hitsounds" Am i doing something wrong?

I don't think it crashes because of map length. It probably crashes on newer maps if .osu format was updated since I made my program. It was a long time ago lol. Probably it only works completely stable on old maps, with newer maps should be a gamble.

i think it crashes if you have different symbols in diffnames and/or in folder`s name, such as katakana or kanji

When i use hitsound copier from one to diff to other in a same song, some of the inherited points change to uniherited points(its always -600 bpm) while keeping the custom sound sample- is this only me or does it happen with someone else too?
