There is currently a problem for those playing osu full screen. The banner shows your Online/Offline status, but does not show song info. This is related to a fix in the latest osu update:
[peppy] Don't set window title when running osu! fullscreen.I believe that givenameplz is working on a solution at the moment. For time being, those affected can try using borderless instead (which still displays song info through your signature).

Hello,
as Oinari-sama said, due to the new osu! patch, you are not able to send data when playing in fullscreen. You can use a workaround and play in borderless window mode, simply uncheck fullscreen in your osu! options and choose your desktop resolution.
(Please bear in mind that this might cause different behavior on some machines, performance wise.)
I will write more about this later, when I find the time to do so.
(I am also looking for and working on alternatives.)
However, Stefan's case might be a different problem, if you may, please PM me a screen of your running osu!Post application (and maybe information about your PC).

I am not able to access this data, I also can't say if there will be the possibility in the future.

The website is fully functional, new features will come in over time.
(Website contains a "News" block for changes regarding the website)

The "Save & Preview" and "Save & Exit" doesn't seem to be working for me. Changes I made just seem to be lost after hitting those buttons.
I've already tried clearing browser cache and cookies but it doesn't help. Just wondering if it's a stand alone case...

You need to upload an custom image for that.
Its not intended (and possible) to change the template signatures.
I looked into it, your custom settings are fine, but as said there is no uploaded image.

I also consider, as I said somewhere before, to add custom fonts if there is a demand for it.

You can now set the width and height for the mapImage.

I found some time for fixing the fullscreen problem.
If you want to play in fullscreen, you need to enable the MSN integration inside osu!.
osu!Post will still work without doing this, but if you want to play fullscreen and post your full "Now Playing" information, you need to do this.
Just look inside the Online-Tab of the osu!-Options.

Go there, after that you can upload your image and customize it with the values in the textbox below, a little documentation about the values is in the About box, accessible by hovering over them.

I reworked the config site a little, Custom Signature is now on top and the Customize button will only show if you actually uploaded an image, the customization has also been improved quite a lot.
If you got any feedback on that, feel free to drop me a message.
I will add the Font Selection feature soonish, same goes for the Rank Display.
(As stated in the main post and on the customization site, things will more likely be added if there is a request/demand for it, so if you need a feature, you know where to drop the message.)

I usually start up osu!Post, then manually start osu afterwards. Been doing this since early beta and had no problem at all.

After fiddling around and brainstorming tonight (thanks to Nathanael), I realised that something else is accessing osu!.db and that forces osu produce a dump instead of writing out the normal osu!.db file. I closed osu!Post before starting osu and that fixed the problem. I can have osu!Post running again and manually start osu just like before.
The problem simply went away and I'm unable to reproduce it again. I'll stick to my usual routine and report back if the problem returns.

Strange, I am not even putting locks on it when reading the .db file.
I can't really reproduce this, but I will investigate if osu!Post is the cause and why.
And for the collections, I am not touching them at all.

A little suggestion: delete the cache after every hour.
Since a lot of people do long play sessions and they play lots of beatmaps, sometimes the cache of the app becomes very high, and sometimes I see in the task manager that osu!post uses even more RAM than osu! itself.
So, my suggestion is to delete the cache hourly.

The osu!Post backend is now fully compatible with Piotrekols app osu!StreamCompanion!So if you stream a lot and still want to use the osu!Post signature, simply switch to osu!SC!
A big feature of osu!SC is also the "Waching"/"Playing" status, so if you spectate someone or watch a replay it won't be shown as "Playing" on your signature, but "Watching" instead.
(The osu!Post app will be updated with that feature later on.)

- Cleaned up the customization a little and finally added a color picker
- Added the cursor coordinate if you hover over your image (while customizing), so it should be a little bit easier to place everything correctly

I'd recommend switching to osu!StreamCompanion if you don't want to wait for the osu!Post update.
(Baiscally the same tool with additional functions and fully included osu!Post support.)

Just uploaded the fix for the new .db format, finally got around to do it.
There might be some "follow up"-updates, but osu!Post will automatically update like always, so don't worry about it.

Just a quick note on the development, I am currently reworking the page content and also the design.The design will be adjusted to fit the "osu!Theme", we'll see how it works out.
As for the content, the site will most likely be easier to handle then and it will also provide more information, such as "About" or "Tutorials".
Also, the links of the page will change, but don't worry, the old signature links will still work.

I won't update it anytime soon, if you want a good alternative for now, you should check osu!StreamCompanion it has many good features including osu!Post support. I will still look into whats causing the trouble, but the next update will take some time as I want to rewrite osu!Post in another language.SlasherZX wrote:

First you should tell it where your osu! folder location is located.
You can find this setting by pressing on Config.
After that, still inside the Config, go to the osu!Post tab and check Enable osu!Post and also input your osu! user id & osu!Post key.
After that close the Config window, press Reload on the main window. If its still telling you its not finding your beatmaps, you seem to have the wrong folder.
After you got that working start up osu! on a random map, osu!SC should now display your map and also send it to the osu!Post backend.
Also remember to do this inside osu!, without that it won't work.
On a side note, I finally started rewriting osu!Post in C# a while ago, not sure when it will be finished, but surely sometime... same goes for the new website.

My biggest aim is to improve the signature creation after the next update.
(It will most likely be highly dependable on JavaScript then.)
The new osu!Post will use a completly different approach, as in not reading the local database files at all.

osu!Post outdated use osu!StreamCompanion, osu!Post revived soonish.

osu!Post outdated use osu!StreamCompanion, osu!Post revived soonish.
Does it work on XP? Because Stream Companion crashes as soon as I double-click the exe ;_;

Try the osu!Stream Companion for time being. Make sure you enable the "osu!Post" option.
Is there a way for it to work on any other forums? I've tried on another one and it doesn't seem to work even though I used the exact same code. It just pastes the code, not the picture. Also, it forever shows that I'm offline.
Because of the .php extension for the image by default, it may not work on other sites as easily unless the site is capable of allowing it in signatures. You could either request that the other forums allow/add the extension to be useable (which would be hard to convince them to do, because when people think of allowing public php, they think of security risks). Or you could convert the code into an image file type like .png, which should be doable, I'm just not sure how exactly.Maralina wrote:

As for it showing that you're offline, it's similar to issues others have been having. If you check out the osu!Stream Companion linked by the guy above your post, it has osu!Post integration and that seems work perfectly fine to fix the offline problem.

Do I use osu! post or osu! companion and if I use the companion(I already tried to) I can't figure out how to edit the look of the image.
osu!Post on it's own doesn't work right now, and needs to be used through osu!Companion. Make sure to enable osu!Post's integration through it. I have always offline status and i enabled msn ,i have companion and i enabled osupost!.Why doesn't work?
Did you set it up properly with using the correct User ID (which in your case should be 4131205) and User Key (which should be the key received upon setting up osu!Post initially)?BaBydnT wrote:

When you said you had osu!Post enabled, you meant that you have it enabled within osu!StreamCompanion itself, right?BaBydnT wrote:

I can't think of any other reason why it wouldn't work if you followed the rest of the setup correctly.

Also where did you check your status? osu!Post website? Did you start the map then pause before refreshing the page?
It doesn't work if you're simply listening to a song at song select/main menu.
