[General]

  1. 02:35:194 - I'd prefer to end the second kiai right here since the music really slows down. Right now it ends at a really random spot in the Normal diff, you could easily make it end here in each diff instead.
[Hard]
  1. In this diff you've placed all of your claps on the on-beats (beats 1 and 3). That's totally opposite of what is in the music, so it sounds a bit strange. It would be nice if you would switch the claps over to off-beats (2 and 4) so that they fit with the music. Take a look at this diagram:

  2. A bit weird to me how you use different volumes in each Kiai. It's mostly noticeable in that the last kiai is almost twice as loud as the first. I'd suggest to raise the volume at least for the first kiai, and make them more consistent. 60-70% sounds best to me.
  3. 00:37:963 (3) - This doesn't play that well. The reason is because the slider is so small, it's impossible for the player to notice that there is more than one repeat on it so it surprises them. It would be nicer to split it into two 1/2 sliders or four circles.
  4. 00:45:117 (4) - This note sounds a bit strange to me because the music is actually in 1/3 here. It's missing the music. I suggest just delete this note and maybe make a bit more spacing between 00:43:502 (2,3,5).
  5. 01:10:156 (1) - It seems more accurate to start the spinner at 01:10:271 which is when that held note starts in the song. Also it seems nicer to end the spinner at 01:13:963 since the music is still very active after 01:12:117. :< Up to you.
  6. 01:14:656 (1,2,3,4) - A bit difficult to understand. The music is pretty unique here, so can I suggest that you use sliders for this transition. If you use sliders here, it will make 01:15:348 (1,2) feel really unique when the vocals come in which is what you need. Try this rhythm and see if you like it:

    This also covers the hit at 01:15:002 which is very important.
  7. 01:28:733 (1,2) - It feels like you've moved the 2 upwards because you didn't have enough space below them to make the 01:30:579 (1,2,3,4) and it's kind of breaking flow imo. Maybe you could rethink this pattern a bit and place the 1-2 in a nice curved line together like 01:16:733 (5,6).
  8. 01:30:809 (2,3,4) - Following up on the previous point, try moving the triplet more downwards to make a more even curve from 01:30:348 (5,1). It will have nicer flow.
  9. 01:35:194 (4) - NC is nice here for readability on this rhythm like at 03:38:886 (1).
  10. 01:36:117 (1,2) - That's a really large 1/4 jump, and with this low AR it's pretty much impossible for the player to read it as 1/4, it looks like 1/2. I suggest making this jump much shorter if you want to use this rhythm here.
  11. 01:49:271 (1) - Since this is a hard diff, how about ending the spinner at 01:52:271 instead on the white tick. That is where the bass hits in the music to start the transition into the downbeat 01:52:733 so it feels more natural.
  12. 01:53:656 (2,3,4) - Would be better imo if you used 1.3 spacing here so that it's the same as 01:56:425 (1,2,3) and so on, it will feel nicer.
  13. 02:43:040 (5,1) - Seems nicer to remove NC from 02:43:963 (1) and add it to 02:43:040 (5). That way it is consistent with 02:39:348 (1) and you have this nice symmetry 02:43:040 (5,1) in that they are one combo.
  14. 02:48:117 (3) - Finish missing I suppose.
  15. 03:12:117 (1) - Finish on head.
Biggest problem I have with the diff is inconsistency in spacing and some Insane level stream with high spacing. Your spacing can feel a bit random at times, for example in the beginning from 00:31:502 to 01:01:040 spacing changes all over the place. It's not really a big deal, it can just lead to aesthetic issues and even cause readability issues. For example 00:50:656 (2,3,4) - spacing from 2 to 3 is less than spacing from 3 to 4 so it's easy for the player to be unsure about when to hit the 4. It's just an example, maybe you can use it to take the map further.
For the most part your flow is pretty nice. :)

[Yomi's Normal]

  1. 01:10:156 (1) - Same as Hard, it seems nicer imo to start the spinner at 01:10:271 on the downbeat where the held note starts in the song. Make sure it's ending at 01:13:963 if you do so.
  2. 01:13:963 - Since the music is really soft here, how about lowering the volume a bit for the end of the spinner?
  3. 01:33:809 (5,6,1) - The pattern has a bit of curve already but it's not enough and flow ends up being a straight line. How about curving it more downwards like this:
  4. 02:35:194 (1,1) - Players at this level would prefer it if you combine these into one spinner. It's stressful for beginners to have another spinner start right after one ends, but if you'd like to keep it then it's not so big of a deal.
  5. 02:59:194 (1) - I suggest to end the spinner at 03:02:425 since that is when the held sound and guitar stops. It fits much nicer with the music that way. If you do so you can remove the green line at 03:02:886. Or maybe you'd like to move it to 03:02:425 and reduce volume. Maybe you could add a break after the spinner.
  6. 03:04:271 - Unused green line here, you'd might as well remove it.
  7. 03:04:733 (1) - Clap missing on the end.
  8. 03:27:809 (2) - Try using CTRL+J to flip the slider over. It will make a nicer flow connection between 03:26:886 (1,3).
    Example

    If you did so, maybe you'd like to change placement on 03:28:733 (3,4) to prevent overlap with 2.
Pretty solid Normal.

As for whether no not you should add another diff in between Hard and Normal, well it's hard to say. You should ask for more opinions. I think one thing you could do to make it better would be reduce some of the spacing on streams in the Hard diff. When you place stream/triplets in 1.0 or 1.1 spacing, it can be very difficult for Hard players to follow.

All in all I don't think more modding would be a bad thing, and I hope you don't give up on this because I believe you can make it great. Good luck! :)

Ok... Its about 1 years ago when i was a hard playersI decreaced all triplets like 0.7~0.8x and ask my classmatehard player to test of it... he said really more simillar as hard for the lower distance xDD~~

All in all I don't think more modding would be a bad thing, and I hope you don't give up on this because I believe you can make it great. Good luck! :)

SapphireGhost[18] is the nicest BAT you will ever meet on osu!, also a great mapper and modder. SapphireGhost demands people to ask questions so ask random stuff whenever you have the chance while SapphireGhost is online on osu! (except it was actually in reference to his somewhat inactive Formspring account). SapphireGhost is a PC Tablet User.
Most people may know him for the fortnightly Ranking chart (previously done by Cyclone and taken his place as in June 2012 until March 2013 [Replaced by DeathxShinigami, 10 months]) or the two approved beatmaps.
Current status: Active.

Okay, let's look at this again. This will be a mod with a lot of big ideas that use this map to apply to mapping in general. It might look overwhelming but I hope I can provide lots of good information on how to map well.

Hard Here's a short example I made of how I would map this, and maybe you can get some inspiration/ideas of what I am looking for: example thing

- As a piece of general advice, I would use less patterns that overlap each other. It helps to make the map look cleaner and more readable, and makes things easier on Hidden players like me.

- I think the kiai sections could benefit from less triplets (three 1/4s in a row) to keep the vocals free and more consistent hitsounding to tie the map together.

01:14:656 (1,2) - I would recommend not putting a new combo under another note. It looks sort of odd from a visual standpoint, but also because I think stacks should only be used rarely when there's a good musical reason to do so. A stack stops the flow of the map, and spacing keeps it going.

01:15:348 (1,2) - I would change (1) to use a soft whistle sound, and (2) to use a normal hit sound, same for each two notes before a kiai time. I find if you put soft notes right before the beginning of a section using the normal sounds for notes, it helps increase the impact.

01:15:809 (3) - Add a new combo for the start of the kiai time.

01:20:425 (3,4) - For notes that are spaced like this, the spacing is high enough that I would just avoid the overlap entirely (see the example thing), as it looks neater. The other thing about this type of pattern is that it requires to player to start the second slider on a blue tick, which can be awkward. For some advice, try listening to what your map sounds like when only hearing circles and the starts of sliders, as this is what the player will be tapping to.

01:21:348 (1,2,3) - This is tough pattern to make look nice, because you want the distance of each blanket to be roughly the same. Here's how I would go about it. Notice how the notes fit together snugly and hold each other tight at night and whisper "I love you" in each other's ears and slowly take their partners closer and kiss them as if they'll never see each other again and fall asleep so they can be together in their dreams. That's how a good blanket should make you feel.

02:44:425 to 02:48:117 - This is a big point in the song, and I think you've got the right idea with how it should be mapped. However, I would go further and make a star pattern (see the example thing again). This is an example of where I would use stacks, because the flow in this section starts and stops. I also used the Rotate (Ctrl+Shift+R) function to make it look neater.

There is likely more I could address in this post, but this is currently all I had the energy for. Let me know if you still want to keep using this map to find opportunities to improve or just put on some finishing touches to get it bubbled and rankable and apply these ideas to a different map. I do like to help as long as the mapper finds my advice useful, so just let me know.

  1. 00:25:963 (1,2,3) - i think you should definitely use the rotate tool for this pattern instead of creating new sliders :I (ctrl shift r)
  2. 00:27:809 (1,2) - i think this rhythm sounds better. or something similar, idk. just make sure (2)'s head is at 00:28:502 - to express that strong sound there.
  3. 00:39:809 (2) - why a brezier curve >_<? they're so outdated :3
  4. 01:17:194 (6) - curve on the end seems to help it transition better into the following curved sliders
  5. 01:52:733 (1) - curving it the other way seems to look better for me but i think this is a bit more of a personal view
  6. 01:58:271 (5,6) - did u copy paste the sliders? if not then you should
  7. 03:15:809 (1) - ctrl g i think gives better flow :3
  8. 03:40:733 (1,2,3,4,5) - this looks a bit neater imo, since it stacks and also doesn't seem to overlap with the previous slider
