Couldn't this have gone in the General Pokemon thread? I mean, seriously. Having one for the pokemon video game series and one for the general series is more than enough as it is.

the next week(November 10th) there will be the Legendary Treasures TCG Set prerelease event in my country. of course, i'm in. and FYI, the prerelease events are tourneys that you can only play with the cards of the incoming set, 3 days before its official release. each player gets 6 booster packs to create a 40-cards deck(but in regular tourneys, the deck must have 60 cards). the organizers of the tourney can give you for free the Basic energies that your deck may need. i think there's no Top cut in prerelease events. at the end of the tourney(i think), each player receives 2 extra booster packs from that set, and maybe some extra prizes.

Anyone did "the greatest Gen III pokemon of all time" vote on dorkly.com?

Here's my setup on how much those pokemon impacted me, since that's basically how my team looked like when i were playing Ruby.

It's really a tough decision since gen III pokemon were the bomb, i mean, i would've chosen Tyranitar, Aggron, the 2 EON pokemon- and so many more.

Wrong, Net Ball or any other Ball cannot "stack" their effectivity, thus only replacing the chance with a higher one if there is one available, which is replacing the Net Balls chance towards Bug Types (in this case x3) with the effectivity against Water type = x3.
What has changed? Nothing, it basically overwrites the first effect with the second thus not stacking it.

Taking from the formula here (which is not the secret krabby patty formula)


The only additional thing taken in effect is only one bonus, which is the ball bonus, not including another ball effect whatsoever.

PS: Surskits catch rate with 100% HP @ Net Ball without it having status ailments is 78,1% eitherways.
FYI Surskit has a catch rate of 200; 255 being the easiest to catch (Magikarp, Feebas etc. as an example) and 3 (mostly legendaries, excluding Beldum) the most difficult.

TRIVIA: Surskits catch rate can be upped to 100% always, with full HP, no status ailments by just using a Quick Ball at the first turn.
ANOTHER TRIVIAL THING: Quick Balls has a capture rate of x5 (first turn) which is currently the highest capture rate for an pokeball that can be bought in the game since the introduction of Pokémon Black and White.

more news: Xerneas Box and Yveltal Box has been unveiled. each box will contain 3 XY Booster Packs and 2 Promo cards, 1 regular size and 1 JUMBO Size, each one featuring Xerneas and Yveltal on its respective boxes. also Garchomp-EX has been revealed. to balance the current metagame a bit, now certain Dragon-type Pokémon will have Fairy-type Weakness, such as Garchomp-EX. and also certain Electric-type Pokémon recovered its Steel-type Resistance, missing since Black & White

Just a reminder that the Gen V Pokémon Global Link closes (or rather, you're unable to use Game Sync) in 9 days. Transfer whatever items and Pokémon you can now, because once it closes all your items on there are gone for good.

So last night I was browsing Pokédex 3D because I like to do that sometimes. And I came across a pokémon I almost entirely forgot even existed.



How many of you can say off the top of your head what this thing's name is? How about what it evolves from? I wouldn't have been able to answer either question before yesterday, and I'll probably be unable to answer those questions a week from now.

I think Mothim is the most forgettable pokémon in town. I remember Burmy and Wormadam just fine but having never actually used either, it became so easy to forget that this low-profile mon had an alternate evolution! And bug is even one of my favorite types...

How about you guys? Any pokémon you find particularly forgettable? Any particular reason (e.g. version exclusive to the version you didn't have)? There are several others I could list but I want to see what everyone else brings up first.
