pokemonxy.com is where you should go for the latest info. No, really. It is.
It's a good possibility. But, how long it'll take the anti-piracy to get cracked is another story altogether. I may dabble a bit in the ROM myself, but I'll mainly just be playing Black and HGSS until the US release. This is mainly because I want to train more Pokemon.Azure_Kite wrote:
I'm wondering if B/W2 will have a ROM leak like what happened for Taiko no Tatsujin DS 3, lol.
Even if it IS just a day early.
Oh yeah, that part looks to be pretty interesting. I want to know what's going on next FFFFFF-Hika wrote:
Well, the only thing I'm looking forward to is the division of Team Plasma. Apparently, everyone who wants Pokémon liberation follow N as everyone who want to rule the world for evil goes with Ghetsis. I think I might die if I don't get a release date for this game.
Gen 6 will definitely be on the 3DS. What I would do is get the just-announced 3DS XL when it comes out this August. That will allow you to play DS games in "no-upscaling" mode without the screen being small like it would be on a normal 3DS. This will give you the best of both worlds - the clear screen of the regular DS line combined with the ability to play 3DS games. If you can afford it, that would be the best option.Hika wrote:
I'm sure it should be out definitely after September 1st but even then, the wait seems super long. I also need help trying to buy a DS because I'm not sure if they're going to be using 3D as a base for the new games after this.
Additionally, I looked up the first rating on the game as it got a 36/40 from a Japanese magazine of some sort. Black / White got a perfect 40/40 so I can't really determine if this game is gonna be as great as the first until I get become brainwashed.
So, should I get a DSi or a 3DS? Pokémon Black / White always seemed like a 3D game to me so I can't really choose.
It looks like a children toy!Azure_Kite wrote:
I dunno. The 3DS XL looked very.... cheap. I like the gloss of the older gen :<
$200 USDHika wrote:
Hm. If it's not above $150, I'll take it.
There's the Team Plasma division, there's N once again along with Ghetsis & a new guy or something. /nospoilJInxyjem wrote:
I only want to know one thing, does anyone know if the BW1 protoganists are in the game?

I guess that means no RS remakes this gen...
Same. I doubt they'd remake since I think they remade I and II only because of how many large changes were made and how you can't transfer pokemon from II to III. There's no such problem now, so I don't think a remake is coming any time soon.Bobo wrote:
Dear God I so wanted a Gen III remake.
Pokémon Ruby was my first Pokémon game :/
If they SERIOUSLY remade R/B/Y 2 damn times, why would they not remake R/S/E?TheNutritiousGuy wrote:
Anyway, why are you need a Remake to the 3rd Gen?
Makes no sense and Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald are new enough.
It's true that it was almost, if not completely impossible to transfer from II to III (I could have sworn one of the Advance games had some special way to do it... but maybe not), but we're also coming up on the point where it's getting harder to transfer pokemon from Gen III to recent games, since the DSi and 3DS don't have GBA slots. Once a main series game comes to the 3DS there will be no way to get older generation pokemon to it without at least going through one of the DS versions, assuming that it's even possible to trade from a DS game to the 3DS at all. I predict that after Black and White 2 they will release either a new, independent main series game for 3DS with R/S after, or they'll make the R/S remakes the first full games for 3DS.JInxyjem wrote:

You didn't know? They got rid of it in the DSi, which has been out long enough that some places don't even sell the Lite anymore let alone the original design.Hika wrote:

I don't think so.Azure_Kite wrote:
Off-Topic, have we had a general Pokémon thread before?
Let's fix that, then.Azure_Kite wrote:

Honestly, I didn't really care much about the DS because I'd always borrow one from my younger cousins. They'd barely play with theirs & they both have a DSi so I didn't do research on the 3DS much. Well, I already talked with my mother about which one to get, she's just telling me to get the 3DS as soon as we get the release date on BW2.Drakari wrote:

It's in the wild before the first gym on the ranch.Hika wrote:
Also, Ekaru, is Riolu wild in the game or is it like some sort of gift Pokémon? I think it's pretty neat that they already have two of my favourite Pokémon early in the game.
Fortunately the 3DS can download GBA/GB games off of the online Marketplace, so if they wanted, they could support all six of the current generations on a single system.Hika wrote:

They're only doing GB games for now, though.awp wrote:

It's in the complex in the second city. While there's grass outside of the complex, that does not have your Growlithe. You gotta go down further into the actual complex to encounter Growlithe.Hika wrote:
Oh also, where's my Growlithe hiding also?! I want that especially. <3
