I did that, now it just doesn't launch at all. I doubt it's related though, the error is "Application tried to create a window, but no driver could be loaded." thanks for help with the fonts!el_leopardo wrote:

After downloading OSU and dragging it onto Application, when i open it and the updating process is complete, it keeps showing a small menu saying there's an error and gives me to options which are to restart now and quit osu, and restarting doesnt fix the problem, just keeps leading back to the same small menu

EDIT: works great! it wasn't launching because it was in a subdirectory of my Applications folder. kind of odd, but whatever.
This, but I'd rather be it QT5 based instead of GTK, so that it looks and runs the same on all DE'sWassaaaa wrote:

Yeah, I don't know the technological details but I think Macs or the Wineskin Wrapper don't do OpenGL thus why it don't save.Mr Color wrote:

Pretty solid outside of that, although I'm worried about my framerate which is really low compared to osu! on my Windows 7 partition. (~100fps as opposed to 1000+).
The text is pretty screwed up also, I think this is a recurring problem, it cuts out and doesn't display all the way.
Also uploading the screenshot made osu! freak out, the window completely disappeared and I had to kill it using cmd-Q.
I think that's about it for now. Oh, by the way, I'm on 10.7.5.
To access to the menus, you'll need to use the keyboard shortcut "command+F" and use the arrow keys.Tsuchimikado wrote:

Is there a way to make the File header show, or maybe another way to submit beatmaps?
Thank you so much! I did not know that command+f did that.Outsanity wrote:

You'll have to press "alt+F5" to get it to do the refresh action because I think F5 on a Mac will hide/move windows out of the view.Feed_Me1 wrote:
Adding beatmaps to my 'Songs' folder (or dragging the .osz file to the Osu! icon) doesn't update immediatly. This is a problem when I'm trying to play with friends and I'm not the one hosting the match (I would have to restart my game every time a new beatmap comes on I don't already have). Any solutions to this?

I have the same problem but on CtB. When i play some beatmaps i don't see my character or the fruits. Sometimes i play a map, it works perfectly, i restart the game, and the map doesn't work. And it happens with 80% of the maps i add.Perfusionist wrote:

Thank you for responding. Here is a picture on one beatmap: http://puu.sh/3qxDL/1925473cab.png and here is another picture from another beatmap: http://puu.sh/3qxFk/e1656f9562.png
This happens to all of the beatmaps loaded on my computer.
edit: and while this is going, I can still hear the song, but I cannot see the beats coming down and I cannot press any keys to hit the beats.
I have the same errorTurino wrote:

You should be able to download it from the "Download" tab on the site, right there : http://www.hapshack.com/images/pivOA.pngPuddingMonster wrote:

Only seems to affect you. I tried it right now, there's no apparent problem with it. Try adjusting your settings (osu! or Monitor)Creyslz wrote:
I don't know if this is a problem for all computers or just mine, but the flashlight mod is not working as intended. Instead of creating the flashlight effect, it just dims the whole screen (i.e As if I just lowered my brightness setting by a few ticks). This makes playing with the flashlight mod almost trivial, artificially boosting scores.
I've experienced this before too but in the earlier versions. Sometimes when I would load FL mod, it would dim the screen without adding the small circle of light to see through. So basically, it's like not having FL on at all. The only function that would continue to work would be holding sliders (which with FL, causes the screen to dim even more).Creyslz wrote:

Are you on OSX 10.8 by chance ?Creyslz wrote:
I messed around with the flashlight mod some more. I ended up finding a map where it did create the flashlight effect, but it also dimmed the screen, making it surprisingly difficult to play as I easily lost track of the osu button things. However, on other maps, it still only dimmed the screen.
I took a screencap video of myself demonstrating both.
No Fail is turned on because the screen cap program will occasionally lower my frame rate to unplayable levels.

not sure why but after tweaking wineskin settings i tried enable two thing in wineskin and osu performance increased significantly
disadvantage of this is that game may crash when u want to make updates or try to run osume (for example click get more skins)
not sure what it does but i think xQuartz is still supported thus better than X11 ? Also not sure what is mac driver and how it affects osu.
i changed two settings : tools>set screen options> use mac driver instead of x11 (enabled)
options>force use of system installed xQuartz instead of using built in Wineskin11 (enabled)
