I'm completely stumped with this issue - the only lead I've got is libXxf86vm - removing it fixes any wine app causing X to instantly segfault, but breaks osu because it's needed for the 3d pipeline.

Could be quite a while until osurecord is working again, I've got literally no idea what to try next. Don't even know what caused it in the first place, didnt touch any libraries before it broke

(If you can like make your setup shareable, I'd suppose you could like have different servers when one is busy, I would host, but I don't think my raspberry pi could handle this well :D)

By some miracle of miracles I have managed to get Wine running again under the gpu-accelerated x server.

Though how uninstalling the GPU driver completely (and not installing anything in its place) fixed it, I have no idea.


Moral of the story: intel gpus are awful

Okay this was really odd. I uploaded the replay. It was of me playing FREEDOM DiVE with Relax mod. For some reason in the live viewer, it said "You do not have the beatmap this replay used" or something like that, and it remained on the home menu, and it continued to process.

I don't know if it is a temporary error, but that kind of got me curious.

No, the recording and upload completed, but all it showed was the osu! home screen. I removed the video so it wouldn't take a spot in my YouTube uploads as a faulty upload.

Yeah but I fetched the .osr you uploaded and it won't play in my own copy of osu and I have the beatmap installed

Assuming you're talking about the non-fatal error out of ffmpeg that pretty much flashes past during the process, that's either because GLC isn't gracefully closed (recording is stopped with a sigkill because I'm crazy :P), or it's just a bug in glc-play. Either way it has no effect on anything.

For two days I've been getting this message when trying to upload the video D:

No that applies to everyone. My community's gameservers take priority over osurecord (both literally, and in terms of cpu priority). Hence allowing osu!record to be used when they are significantly active would result in lag for people playing on the TF2 etc. servers, as well as a jerky video from osu!record.

Any time outside the hours 16:00 - 01:00 GMT should be grand

Just tested it and it works well. I was a bit worried because the live feed showed an error message saying "osu! is not running at the moment or something went horribly wrong" twice during the process of recording, but the video came out fine in the end. This is especially useful for me because I can't record audio on my notebook, so I'm unable to make my own videos.

That being said, I probably shouldn't block the server from being used by anyone else unless I have something that is actually worthy of being uploaded to youtube :oops:

I've seen that in a few recordings, nothing that can be done really, it's a server and CPU spikes are to be expected. Unfortunately raising osu's cpu or io priority any higher is not feasible

It seems to be broken :: Querying osu! api for map info... ID -1... Difficulty 0... Not found, trying ar
tist/title match... Matches more than one. (map too old or too new or not ranked
?)

I've tried for 10+ replays (all ranked) but it still displays this.

The replay works just fine on my end.
Then that map can't be recorded, probably because the server copy is out of date (assuming yours isn't). There's no way I can check for that or do anything about it.

How about adding the option to use visual settings? I know these aren't included in .osr's, but maybe you could add some toggles on the osu!record page determining which visual settings are supposed to be used while recording the replay

Dunno if that's hard, or even impossible, to add, but I'd like it :>

Yeah, like he always says, his gameservers are on a much higher priority.
Having any visual settings toggled on will likely make it lag, and possibly affect his players on the servers.

the gpu isn't physically capable of running it at any higher settings or resolution, presumably because of the directx-opengl wrapper overhead since osu!'s native opengl mode is broken on wine.

Wouldn't disabling Video's or SB's reduce graphical requirements instead of raising them?
Talking about the map-specific Visual settings that appear when playing a map.

i guest this will be the problem since the latest patch coming..

Note: osu! is crashing on startup for some reason since latest update, will look into this when I get a chance.

Yeah I don't really know how to fix this now

Getting this error when running osu through glc-play (and only through it, works fine otherwise) since one of the recent updates

Suggestions (In the gallery):
-Add pagination. It's a pain to load all the images ;_;
-Add search filters: Songs name and period of date submitted/recorded for example

I'm not sure about this. Visual Setting have the requirement of a previous play to change settings, not really sure how it works on replays.

But even so, this should be optional, I'm pretty sure there are many people who use this service not because they can't record on their pc's, but yes because they want to record with video or sb, which ends up lagging their pc's(like me).

The actual error just above that (NoLinkedYoutubeAccount) means you have not registered your google account to upload videos to youtube

The recording cuts of before it finishes and (minor one, the SB is buggy, might be osu tho)

If you know an ffmpeg option/filter/etc that will do this, I will certainly add it

As for lots of use, would prefer if you keep it between 04:00 and 11:00 UTC, outside that time please keep it reasonable

Do you mean the video ends before the scoreboard is displayed, or it cuts to the scoreboard too soon at the end?

If the former, it's likely the 'total time' shown on that page (which is actually what is used via scraper) is very far removed from the real time it takes for the beatmap to be played and there is nothing I can do about that.

It was the intro that wasnt cut off. Near the end, it cut of the spinner, i would give the video file BUT i deleted it.

i want that you use my skin and record my replay. In summary,i'll upload my skin.osk and my replay.osr ,and you record replay in my skin.(not default skin)

if you so hard,don't have to that... :?

I think this would be harsh everywhere... On the hard drive, on the bandwidth, on the amount of program lines/processing cycles (changing skins and knowing what skin you're changing to would demand OCR, I'd say?)

I'd say you shouldn't get your hopes up with that. Yes, the idea is good, but... Quite impratical, unfortunately. :/
Would wait for Darkimmortal's reply, though.

- Added custom skin support (note that anything in skin.ini will be ignored, this may be improved in the future)
- Gallery is now paginated
- Algorithm to hide videos deleted by dumb people has been improved
- Significantly improved security (this was main blocker for skins support)
- Live status no longer scrolls continually during ffmpeg stage
- Removed max length limit

Just a question: How did you make it so it ignores skin.ini? Extracting the .osk in a predefined folder without overwriting?

The skin is extracted (with folder structure ignored) into a fixed subfolder of the skins folder. I've found skin.ini has to be deleted before running osu, or it jumps back to the default skin. Proper merging of skin.ini is something to be added in the future, not really sure how necessary its contents are (something to do with combo colours)

Will add remote upload at some point

Haven't experienced this skin.ini issue, can you tell me exactly how to reproduct? o_o
Load skin without skin.ini -> add skin.ini -> reload osu!? It didn't jump back to the default one doing this way here.
I'm willing to investigate a fix for this. :P

The skin is extracted (with folder structure ignored) into a fixed subfolder of the skins folder. I've found skin.ini has to be deleted before running osu, or it jumps back to the default skin. Proper merging of skin.ini is something to be added in the future, not really sure how necessary its contents are (something to do with combo colours)

Load skin without skin.ini -> add skin.ini -> reload osu!? It didn't jump back to the default one doing this way here.

I used the folder name default, and a skin I downloaded on the forums, named Vocamania V 1.15 on the .ini. Loaded it while osu! read it as default (due to no .ini) then closed the game, added the .ini and reopened the game, and it still had this skin loaded.

Which maps does the server have? I uploaded a replay data of a horribly old map and failed because of the said reason.

I tried to upload a replay, and I came across 2 stutters in the video and a few times where the frame rate dropped...

Every numbered beatmap pack, plus all new maps since about 2 months ago updated every 4 hours

This is probably an IO spike - I will look into raising the IO priority of osu/glc slightly.

Edit: Allowing realtime IO majorly interfered with the gameservers, so the best I can do is up the nice priority a tiny bit.

Why got the Upload rule removed? a User Named Kiriino Uploading replays permanently, I would not complain, but this seams not fair for other users. i Try to Upload a Replay with skin what everytime fails because of him.


BTT: i Like the Idea and its a very extensive service. cant say bad things :)

There were brief network issues, you may need to clean your dns cache etc if it's still not working now

I had this yesterday too after the site went down, waiting to try again today.

It could be all difficulties that don't work properly in this map... I attempted to upload a .osr with a different difficulty and this came up in the live display:

I have applied a limit of 4 recordings per day now. Failed recordings (due to errors) will not count, but deleted videos and videos containing glitches or just the main menu screen will.


The few maps mentioned specifically in the past few posts I have manually updated to the latest versions (may not have helped for 'Yuru Fuwa Jukai Girl'). Any maps ranked or updated before jan 2013 cannot be automatically updated unfortunately.
