Well, I don't mind not having a stream.
I'm watching White Wolf playing.
Makar
About the Stream:

This morning all streamers were unavailable. My alarm failed again and the backup streamer (ztrot, who I asked to back me up if this happened since he would be awake) suddenly had to go somewhere. Same reasoning is for the match an hour ago. Once I came on, I was informed that the tourny client was broke due to the new IRC system, so we couldn't really stream if somebody was available anyway (not going to put the blame on that though, ofc).

The stream will start once the tourny client is fixed.

I don't know what's worse, if all streamers were AFK or the fact that the client is broken. :p

i would have enjoyed watching a broken client over a blank stream

Well you know it kinda sucks that for most of the matches, we either have to stay up all night or get up very early without much sleep due to our timezone. It's something we have to deal with though and for the most part I have been able to do it just fine. This is the second time throughout this whole tournament that my alarm has failed = =.

Another note is that we do have a 3rd backup streamer (kingking) but that's when we found out the client was broke.

It'd basically be the same thing - it doesn't work at all.

Personally, I'm more upset about not having a channel to moo in.
Wishy
I understand Makar, what I dont understand is why you guys burnt your heads off streaming completely irrelevant matches that pretty much no one cared (really most group stage matches were idiotic as of 2-0 vs 0-2 or just obvious outcomes) and then you can't make it for the important matches. That's the only thing that bothers me to be honest.

I'm surprised that peppy didn't realize the client was broken before-hand, since he is usually aware of all that stuff.

Streaming the previous matches or not doesn't change the unexpected outcome of today.

Also, we didn't expect the client to not work or even need testing. It worked perfectly fine before, but something was changed that affected it (and we didnt think it would affect it)

At the moment, the stream is down and will be for a while since the bug is very hard to fix.
Ciunek
Nice organisation guys.

Thank you for stream, Apricot, was fun to listen to you all chat with each other too. Congrats for winning the game~

I like how our team was taking it too easy.
WW and fart had one map each they didn't play.
rEdo didn't even download the mappool
And that's just what I've seen on chat and stream, there's probably more...
peppy
The client was actually working correctly in my tests, and not the reason these streams didn't happen. Fixing it took 12 minutes, and would have happened off-air if we had people in place for the first match of the night. Kinda annoying to me since I plan my sleep/work pattern around being here for every match.
Makar
Client is working again but its kinda too late to start streaming now orz

@peppy: well to be fair the backup streamers weren't really notified about the matches either until a few hours before the match

Poland = Niko.

The schedule has been out for weeks. Not being notified is not a valid excuse, sorry.

The really issue is that there were/are not enough streamers in place to account for human failure (aka the only two streamers not turning up). This needs to be accounted for at a higher level to ensure such scenarios dont' arise. It's equal to having multiple copies of important data stored in different locations in case of disaster.

I can't really apologise for the failure that was this weekend, but I can join you all in disappointment of not being able to see these possibly amazing matches.
Makar

peppy wrote:

So, why couldn't Kurai be added to the streamers? Loctav had said before he would ask since we really need a streamer in a timezone that doesn't make the chance of human failure so high >.>

I have no idea why we have only two streamers who are also in the same inconvenient timezone. Like I said, I can make most of the matches, but today was unexpected and something else had happened to the other streamer.

I'm completely amazed by Niko and Cookiezi's plays, it's amazing how both of them don't really miss at all and not only that, they get top tier accuracies like it's nothing on every map.

First tiebreaker of the knockout phases, very entertaining from both sides and very evenly contested.

Congrats to the Netherlands and good luck in the next round. Bad luck to our lads, but I have to say we've come further than we thought we would. I'm proud of what our team has a achieved.

then you should read all the rest casue it explains everything
Salvage
it doesn't actually explain anything, fc is by far most important than almost fc, take for example Ende on which Japan made 3 fcs and one almost fc, if on an hypothetical case poland would've made 4 fcs, that "4th fc" would've been worth gold, it's not easy to explain but you're just talking bullshit, what is said about Niko and Cookiezi was just prooved right this round, and you're trying to proove otherwise with not only not having any argument, but even having ones that proove you wrong right on your face.

FC is the only important thing. White Wolf did awesome of course, but I liked how Niko got not only all FC -1 which is better than FC -2, but yeah they are two monsters, I just prefer Niko.

In case you didn't know, if you miss when there are still 100 circles left you lost several millions score!

What's so hard about it? It's just streaming 210. I can see 4 players from each team at least (dunno NL) being able to do it at least. I find jump DTs harder. :(

SHD is better in terms of rythm and creativity in my opinion. I also think this dksslqj style is generic and mediocre, not saying it's bad but I think it's just "meh".

Pizzicato wrote:

Yes that spinner won't be a big problem.
It's at the end of the song which means they don't have anything else to worry about, hence if required, they can even change their way of holding pen/mouse just to spin as fast as possible.

Scheduling problems? hahaha
Makar
I don't see a problem with it. You have nearly 43 hours until your match. If you have a conflict then one of the schedulers should be available within the next hour or so. In-case are you simply asking about the schedule itself, it has been up for nearly 2 days already and can be found in the OP.
Haruka_old
I don't see the problem? What is your issue?

I'm at school right now, so whatever the problem is, if there even is one I'll get to it soon.

dksslqj's diff is mediocre and generic. I can't really see how "far" its superiority compared to SHD since what I'm thinking of is the opposite. If there's anything far it's SHD's difficulty gap against dksslqj. We all have different opinions on this anyway so yea, good luck to all the teams!
Wishy
I like both diffs but SHD is way more unique imo, dksslqj doesn't look that special tbh.
