FC is the most important thing and you don't care about it.

cool story bro.
then you should read all the rest casue it explains everything
Salvage
it doesn't actually explain anything, fc is by far most important than almost fc, take for example Ende on which Japan made 3 fcs and one almost fc, if on an hypothetical case poland would've made 4 fcs, that "4th fc" would've been worth gold, it's not easy to explain but you're just talking bullshit, what is said about Niko and Cookiezi was just prooved right this round, and you're trying to proove otherwise with not only not having any argument, but even having ones that proove you wrong right on your face.

funny how White Wolf missed less than Niko
He missed on two maps. :p

Liutprando wrote:

Metro wrote:

Niko is the real deal here.
Who cares about FC , i mean sure they are important but you can just miss at the end of a song and still carry pretty much your team.
That's why i said missed and i didn't say fced.
Also don't wanna make comparison team poland was all awesome in my opinion, but you guys always go "Niko and Cookiezi are the best, the rest sux yo"
FC is the only important thing. White Wolf did awesome of course, but I liked how Niko got not only all FC -1 which is better than FC -2, but yeah they are two monsters, I just prefer Niko.

In case you didn't know, if you miss when there are still 100 circles left you lost several millions score!

Can't we agree that both players are on similar levels of skill and amazingness?

Can't describe the horror I felt when I saw IP4 on the DT list. Thankfully it's not that difficulty.

What's so hard about it? It's just streaming 210. I can see 4 players from each team at least (dunno NL) being able to do it at least. I find jump DTs harder. :(

Another is fine. But Insane...let's just say that there's a reason no one has DTed it yet.

It's like 5x times harder than the other two maps in that pool. It's 210 BPM longstreams

The Another has like a 100 circle deathstream

not that it's hard or anything, just pointing that out

where is the problem? most people regard matryoshka as a really good map. add the fact that it is reasonably challenging and you have an almost perfect tournament map.

Stop complaining guys. This is semifinals with 3 asian teams. This level of difficulty is acceptable.

Kinda disappointing they're not playing the SHD diff of Kamui.

SHD is better in terms of rythm and creativity in my opinion. I also think this dksslqj style is generic and mediocre, not saying it's bad but I think it's just "meh".

Ah schedule fits perfectly I'm available tomorrow and this weekend. Looking forward to the matches. Good luck to the teams.

In terms of creativity, rhythm and aesthetics, dksslqj's diff is far superior to SHD.

Both were very similar to each other imo

Kamui in general is a very interesting map

Pizzicato wrote:

Yes that spinner won't be a big problem.
It's at the end of the song which means they don't have anything else to worry about, hence if required, they can even change their way of holding pen/mouse just to spin as fast as possible.

It's not very convenient to have both the Match Schedulers in the same far far away time zone

In less than 4 hours it's the 11th, looking at the schedule here, Semi-Finals: 11-13 Jan 2013 Haruka where are you?

Scheduling problems? hahaha
Makar
I don't see a problem with it. You have nearly 43 hours until your match. If you have a conflict then one of the schedulers should be available within the next hour or so. In-case are you simply asking about the schedule itself, it has been up for nearly 2 days already and can be found in the OP.
Haruka_old
I don't see the problem? What is your issue?

I'm at school right now, so whatever the problem is, if there even is one I'll get to it soon.

dksslqj's diff is mediocre and generic. I can't really see how "far" its superiority compared to SHD since what I'm thinking of is the opposite. If there's anything far it's SHD's difficulty gap against dksslqj. We all have different opinions on this anyway so yea, good luck to all the teams!
Wishy
I like both diffs but SHD is way more unique imo, dksslqj doesn't look that special tbh.

I just noticed, that I didnt publish the information about the physical prize for the #1 so far... :D Let me add this.
Wishy
I will give you guys an idea it took me like 3 years of thinking to get to this:

Get the stream on 20 minutes before the actual match starts, if you do that even if some kind of problem comes up you will have like 20 minutes to fix it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Common sense, either that or the spectator client breaks randomly for no reason.
Oinari-sama
Support!

That was a good recovery effort from the streaming team. But to avoid disappointment at the Finals, I think it pays to get the stream ready well ahead of kick off.
Wishy
Yeah that's what I mean, problems can arise and well nothing you can do about it but just trying to put the stream online some time before the actual match gives you a wide time window to solve possible issues.
Kynan
I agree there you should be a time before the match to see if there are bugs or not...

It was running perfectly till the match started. Suddenly OBS complained, died, refused to work, made echoes, stuff. Well, we got it fixed. stuff never works when it should work :P
Wishy
You mean the spectator client? We could gather 8 players and try it out like to see if it works, maybe the stream was up and stuff and then it broke when it started spectating everyone at the same time. I'm an ignorant when it comes to this so just asking.
silmarilen
i didnt expect i had to play anymore this owc, but damn 3 people banned.
oh well cant help it. i hope im not this nervous if i have to play for 3rd place because on the first 2 maps i could barely move my mouse.

I"m presuming the bronze match will be played before the final?

holy shit Placebo Dying as a Hidden map

the maps for the Finals are sadistic, GL HF

It's been like this for the entire tournament, only maps of certain styles get picked

the map selectors are a tad biased hahaha

Lol.
So we're reusing the same picks from the usat finals?

Cool, that means I actually did a sensible job back then

As much as I agree with this, I still want to say that most of the players would complain if the mapset selectors chose more "unique" maps (hello Byakuya Gentou).

Either way, everyone can't be pleased because tastes and opinions.

They're all gonna end up FCing all the beatmaps anyway. So I don't really mind which map is chosen XD Good luck! (:
Wishy
Tie-breaker difficulty is not [0108 style] but [Lesjuh style]. Map pool yet needs to be edited but that's how it is, Loctav will edit soon.

PD: What Mr Color said, the moment an unique or weird map appeared everyone started qqing, maybe it was about difficulty but who knows. Fact is@gameplay leaving aside "qq same mappers please change style" are the ones that make those maps everyone has fun playing. They are what we call mainstream mappers, because most people like them, unique maps are usually not liked that much. ;)

That's it and good luck to all teams.

Wishy wrote:

So you give them a mapset full of maps they've already played a lot? Boring.
silmarilen
they need to pick hard maps, its generally the same people that map the hard maps. so yeah, you get maps from the same people a lot
Wishy
What's the most usual reason that makes you not play a map that often? That you don't like it. Then it's either pick like that or pick maps they won't like, on any case we're always gonna be screwed if you want to.

And that, hard maps = always the same mappers, that's how it is.
