My first beatmap! :D
I spent a lot of time on it, and I hope on making a new difficulty (Insane) in time. Enjoy!

Alright lemme try to help out a bit with the basics.

GENERAL
  1. You haven't set a preview point yet. (Timing>Set current position as preview point) If you don't know what it is - you know how when you select a beatmap the song starts to play from a certain time? Well that's what preview points are for.(Don't forget to set it on all difficulties and preferably - at the same time.
  1. The video doesn't play on all difficulties ,you should set it on all of them of course.
  1. Also, not too sure if this song's from anime, but if it is - be sure to add the name of it to the Source (song setup). Also, tags may not be 100% needed, but it won't hurt to put a few.(p.s. They are also needed to be on all diffs.)Well if ya need more info about this...
  2. All difficulties lack additional hit-sounds. Without them the Bmap may begin to sound boring,so be sure to add some (but do not spam them randomly! Try to find the right rhythm.)
Timing
  • Okay,so there is something wrong with the timing. BPM seems fine, but the offset is all wrong.
The offset must be set so that the first beat would be a downbeat.(Check this little guide to beats and offset here.) For example these are not bad offsets if I'm not mistaken - "4.794" or "2.240" . (Also, when changing offset, don't forget to re-snap the objects to the new timing(in timing setup panel)
Other stuff
EASY
  1. It's not such a good idea to put hitcircles one after another on an easy diff. The beginners have a hard time dealing with those.
How about putting a slider instead of those two:
    SPOILER
This one into this or maybe into this ->
  1. 00:40:501 - Try not to stack beats that have a few pauses in between,it's not that easy to understand why on earth was it put there for the new guys.
  2. 01:36:671 - This slider is out of the playfield and that is unrankable.
  3. 00:12:416 (1) - Same with this hitcircle;
  4. 00:13:692 (3,4,5) - ^
  5. 00:14:969 (1) - ^
  6. 00:16:245 (3,4,5) - ^
  7. 00:17:522 (1) - ^
  8. 00:18:799 (3,4,5) - ^
    1. (there are more of those, but I don't think it's that hard to find the rest of them ;) )
  9. Note: Throughout the song, the beat spacing was quite wonky - lots of jumps, some beats are too close, and so on. Make sure to use Distance snapping effectively, not just put beats randomly. Let's see,I saw a good example around here somewhere...ah - THIS.Check out 10. Map design issues>Unintuitive Spacing. (reading other topics is always useful as well)
Medium
  1. 00:57:575 (2,3,4) - Best example of bad spacing. Note that the distance between 2 and 3 is kinda the same as 3 and 4,even though 3-4's gap is twice as big as 2-3's. Also,if you look into the right corner when highlighting a beat - ("Prev:..x; Next:...x;) shows the distance between the hitcircles/sliders/spinners.
  2. 01:01:245 (2,3,4) - Stacking sliders isn't recommended for normal, but if you insist on keeping that way,try to match the slider's end with the second one's so that it would look,hm,clean. (grid snapping helps out here too)
  3. 01:44:331 (1,2,3,4) - Weird spacing again. between 3 and 4 to be exact. 4 Is further away, yet it's so close to the other sliders.
  4. 01:46:883 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - And then after the spacing where sliders were near each other, these are put waay further away. Try to make it a bit less different from ^ and then equalize the spacings a bit with one another.
  5. Note 1: other problems appear due to wrong offset,so I won't point them out atm.
  6. Note 2: There are also some notes off the playfield,be sure to move those too.
Hard
  1. Note 1:Well same problems here - beats offscreen, notes sounding out of rhythm due to offset and wierd spacing. Be sure to recheck the difficulty a few times.
  2. Note 2:Try not to overuse repeat sliders. While they are fun when place correctly, they do not sound quite as great when lengthened or over-used.

Well that's all. Have fun moding your map and don't forget to shoot me up kudosu hehe (but ONLY if you feel that I help'd ya out.)
Cheers! :D

Thank you SO much! <3

I kinda rushed it,so I actually thought there would be more issues. Thank you for the feedback! :)

EDIT: osnap, the video! I had to shrink it down and I completely spaced applying it to other difficulties! Thanks for the heads up!
Also, as far as I know, the song isn't from an anime... may need to look into that one though.

EDIT 3.19.12: Almost done with the suggestions given, all that's left is to fix Hard Mode.Work has eaten up a TON of time :)

I lost nets for a few weeks, but am ready to upload the fixed map. Is there a mod that can resurrect the thread?

I... actually just found some hits that aren't timed properly in the hard difficulty. Oh dear. >_<
