My favorite would be Final Fantasy VI because of the divine story-line, music, and characters.

least favorite is XIII, got old really fast and didn't bother to finish.
favorite was VII probably because it was my 1st, and i just loved playing as cloud, such an awesome main. the settings in FFVII were so memorable. playing this was the whole reason i got into FF games.
also really enjoyed:
VIII, because squall reminded me of myself so much, and had awesome music and cinematography.
X, i played this one the most to beat the dark aeons. i think this one was the best as far as gameplay, had a blast with it.
VI, SNES RPGs have some sort of magic to them. who can forget that world map theme?

Fav. FFX (PS2) ~ Liked the story and it had voices so i didn't have to read everything. Also this round battle system is much comfortable for me, because i can think and rest easier in battles.

On Topic: My favorite is still XIII, seeing that it's one of the first I've played and actually got me interested in the storyline. Another personal favorite is III.
The one I didn't like the most was VII, because of how much people loved that specific title. And don't get me started on the fangirls... While it is a good game, I can't see why people love it so much.

Dislike the game because you don't like the game, don't dislike it because so many people rave about it. I personally loved the materia system, and it was a pretty enjoyable game overall. You know a lot of people hate FF XII but I actually really enjoyed it. On the other hand, although FF VI had like the greatest villain of all time, I didn't enjoy that one as much :/

I still can't bring myself to beat that game, even with that admission.
There are still plenty of other rpg battle systems I prefer in any case, and I have Grandia Xtreme to look to as my favorite "awful game with an awesome battle system"

I saw and almost bought that game a while back. Grandia was phenomenal, and Grandia 2 was very good. Grandia 3 I wasn't sure about, and anything called Xtreme, well...
I want a mix between FF X and X-2. Story of X and battle system of X-2. That would be win.
Agreed. As overrated as VII is, I think it'd be nice to see it done in sexy HD. I mean Crisis Core looked so awesome, I can't help thinking about an HD VII!!!

Making a hd version of ffviii isn't gonna be as easy as remastering something like FFX, they have to start from scratch with all the design work so I don't think its very likely
Also I finished ffx-2 and thought it lacked in every aspect except gameplay and graphics lol, it was meant to be just an expansion though so I didn't mind

I just like Lily because of her name. I always use the name "Lily" for my female characters and I hated all vocaloid stuff before I found Lily and she isn't an overrated vocaloid, hard to find pics too. ._.-A t H e N a- wrote:

Well, to do FF7 in HD isn't an easy job, but they will sell a lots of copy, because so many ppls like it and too many ppls hate it just for the graffic. ._.

Battle system is sucks in FF XII. I tried to play with it and reached maybe the first village, then die from the enemies, yes every enemy was killed me. ._. Then I gave up and put the game inside the trash can.

the thing I liked about FF12 was that I could go to a boss, get destroyed, then go right back in and win, because there was a degree of skill to the combat

In FF VII you don't hear much about him, but you know that he died because of 2 shinra soldiers. You know, the kind you kick ass with when you are level 7.
And in Crisis Core an entire army and several helicopters can barely take him out. And even after that he can give one hell of a heroic speech to Cloud.
I'm not saying Zack was a horrible character (probably my favourite), just seemed odd to me lol
He died after wiping out nearly two shinra armies. Two remaining shinra soldiers taking him out when he's burnt out like that sounds pretty heroic to me.
I did kind of like the way they pulled that off. Despite realizing that it's futile and the scene won't end until I let myself die, I wanted to keep going until I just got too tired to carry on. When they transfer the intended impact on the character to the player, something's been done right.

It's just that it has too few classes as compared to FFT.

Personally I don't find much appeal in villains who are just evil because the protagonist's need someone to fight against.

For a character who is one of the most loved villains of a series of story heavy rpgs Kefka pretty much has no story except for being the first experimental Magitek Knight. Which to me seems like a detail which was just thrown in at the last moment to try and clarify him.
It's like when you're about to fight Solidus at the end of MGS2 after finding out that his intentions are good and you've been manipulated into stopping him by the bad guys. You don't have a real reason to kill him anymore, maybe because of Olga's child at most, so then out of nowhere they just throw out the "Oh yeah by the way I killed your parents" line.
It's kinda silly when people praise FFVI for it's story, which I agree is good, but Kefka who is often their favourite character has the worst story.

OK I will admit Garland was just wow. Like that kinda of story in the first final fantasy srsly. The guy is friggen awesome and also one of my favourite villains.

IX is the best Final Fantasy for me, mostly because it was one of the first games I ever played. I think I finished it before I was 5, didn't know how to read so I had to talk to everyone and try EVERYTHING to make the plot advance.
Worst is definitely FF X. It made everything go wrong.
