Even if you don't want to buy an R4 (or whatever else there is)
There are still suitable DS Emulators for playing a slow game like PW.
You'll just miss out on the Objections.
Side note: It's fun to shout Objection at your DS in public when no one has any idea what the hell is going on.

Hey hey, I didn't want to go there...sometimes some forums are taboo when they say ROM.

I know you can get a ROM for the game, hence my talk about ROM hacking, but sometimes they're just plain...well, let's just be frank here, they are illegal. So I didn't want to get ROMs into the business...

And to make this post a little Phoenix Wright friendly, so people won't get mad at my incoherence of a subject...

I've legitimately bought 2 of them.
But I've spent so much money on Capcom (MMBN Series) I think I deserve a few free games.

The first two games are cheap if you can find them. Typically they go for 20 bucks, and they're definitely worth 20 bucks. The third one is probably still first price, but it's the best of the bunch anyway. Just buy them! If you have a DS, they're in the top tier of worthwhile games. At least the first and third ones, anyway. The second is the low point, but the worst game of a great series still tends to be a good game.

Same case, same symptoms. I remember I solved that problem by staying on red DS warning light as long as I dared (risking losing all my progress), then finally caving in and plugging the DS into the wall. ...and then sitting right beside the power outlet, playing with the plugged-in DS for about two hours until I finally finished it. I think PW4 may kill peppy from lack of sleep.

I bought the first PW game when I got a DS last summer, and I still haven't beaten it. I went trough the first three cases really fast, and then I just got bored with the game or something. I'm on the bonus case now, and I think I'm pretty far on it. I just need to make my self put the game in so I can finish it.

The first three games' soundtracks are from the GBA games, though, so obviously the jump to a DS original did the sound great justice. Still, some of the greatest video game music I've ever heard.

Rockman EXE series is great! I've played 2-6 and I purchased all of them. Now you can select any boss (including the final battle) I can beat them in ten seconds.

I can do that in Number 6,
I S-Ranked everyone in less than 3 or 5 seconds (however I don't think that's skill at all since it's just the luck of the draw and mashing a as fast as you can)
I think the real skill is in netbattling, in which I was very good at, I have a friend who's a tournament vet (probably one of the best in the world, I'm pretty sure he was active on Undernet for awhile) and I could beat a match against him about 1/5 times, and Random Battles with him were always fun, we had a pretty even ratio on that.

Then you ought to buy it. I have no problem with people pirating crap games, but if you approve of and enjoy a quality game, you should show your support by buying it. Otherwise we'll end up with nothing but crap games... kind of like the music industry. This is especially important for niche games like Ace Attorney and Elite Beat Agents.

I would totally buy it because I support Phoenix Wright in the states, I just have no money and need to play Brawl, and I know Capcom, and they will definitely bring GS5 to the states, they're too greedy not to.

I wouldn't even consider touching the Ace Attorney series with a pair of pliers if it wasn't for my R4, idiot. I didn't even touch my DS before I got my R4. I even had a hard time choosing between every damn DS-game in the world or a new Wii-game beacuse the DS was "such a crappy console with boring games"(Don't get me wrong, I was simply used to playing every PC-game I found interesting, something I couldn't do with my DS).

I had 5 DS-games before the R4 made it's entrance, and all of them were games that last a long time. I also sold games to be able buy new ones. And my mom's hate towards video games didn't exactly help, either. -_________-

Also, a new game costs about $90 in Sweden, so don't tell me a DS-game is cheap. And don't even get me started on importing. There's a 20-40% chance the sh*t gets caught in the customs, and you have to pay a $80 fee on top of everything else. And I didn't have access to fancy shit like e-cards back then, so I could only pay for the stuff by bank transfer. Whoop-de-doo, another $30. ^_^

I wouldn't be playing much else than free PC-games if it weren't for piracy. I probably wouldn't even know about this game since I heard about it on GameFAQs, and if I did hear about it, I wouldn't be interested in it, since I only tried it because I liked Ouendan 1/2. Who knows, maybe I wouldn't even be interested in video gaming, as the first old'd PC games I played were, SURPRISE, pirated.
And do you think Capcom cares if a single gamer buys their game or not? Don't start talking about how they'd notice a difference if all pirates bought the game. We're talking about me, not anyone else.

I didn't mean to start an argument. I intended for my exaggeratedly gung-ho attitude to tip off the fact that I was being ironic and self-mocking.

I understand what you mean about the DS seeming like a "crappy game" system, especially in its first year or so. I actually remember that after I played WarioWare Touched, I was so disillusioned with the system that I didn't play it for months. What a disappointing game... I forget what game it was that brought me back to it... it may actually have been EBA.

But wow, DS games cost 90 bucks in Sweden? Crap. I take back even my nerfed criticism. In your situation, I wouldn't just pirate games, I'd vandalize game stores.
