00:55:918 (306,307,308) - honestly speaking i think that this 1/8 in the context of other patterning is a bit odd. you use 1/8 for stronger attacks of sound like on 00:55:427 / 00:56:574 - yet this one is relatively tame
i get the need for variation but it seems varied enough without these odd middle 1/8ths
01:41:738 - honestly just feels super weird to have a kkd kkk ddk ddd here at the end as it introduces a flow way different than the rest of these kiai chops, i guess you could make an argument here in psychopathic oni but in hell oni it feels especially weird since the map is way more focused around being simple but dense
no it's intended because of the crashes every 1/1 beat so it's fine. The coloring here is just for being good play so it's fine imo.
the 1/1 crashes are present throughout all of the 2nd half of the kiai, on the last chop it's just louder so the argument kinda falls flat imo. "good to play" isn't necessarily true and incredibly subjective i think kkd kkk ddk ddd at this speed is absolutely atrocious to play and again, it breaks the flow you've established in the map which feels really counter-intuitive, and i want to stress this again, it's especially bad in lunatic oni. you also haven't done any of that in the top diff, and while i understand that some things can be different, a lot of the map is already very much the same throughout the diffs and to make them truly unique you'd have to overhaul them entirely
what i'm trying to say is essentially essentially is if the diffs are supposed to be unique in a spread setting, you can do way better. if the diffs should be consistent, you can repeat the same thing you did on 01:33:869 which would be a nice callback to the structure you used in the first half of the kiai, with pattern set A and B following a structure of ABBA. right now for the second half, it's ABBC, which i can somewhat get behind, but not in the way it's done.
yeah those crashes also repeat every 1/1 beat in the earlier kiai chops, just not as strongly as they do in the last one
