00:10:898 - This timing point is unnecessary. It should be removed.

00:12:698 - This timing point is also unnecessary, and should be removed.

00:26:307 - This timing point should have its barline omitted.

alright

01:11:985 - You could move this kiai end to 01:12:105 to emphasize the pause in the instrumentation.

permalink

oh yeah good idea

02:01:545 (956,957,958) - This pattern is improvised to 1/3 where the synth is playing a 1/4 rhythm.

permalink

It's really hard to tell tbh and doesn't really matter, although for playability I'll remove the 1/3. I don't think this should be flagged as a "problem" tho

You're right. Sorry for posting it as a problem.

permalink

05:14:990 - The offset seems late here. I suggest moving this timing point to 05:14:974.

permalink

im not sure, my timing might be wrong here bpm wise cause putting it back makes it wrong later before the next timing point, so will have to get back to you unless you have a suggestionn

permalink

The BPM seems to be correct here. If the offset feels right to you, then I suggest leaving it as is unless someone else also points it out.

permalink

i have to agree on moving the point as i notice it's very slightly late. the bpm is in fact correct, but moving the timing to 05:14:974 would fix this issue. but if it becomes offset before the next timing point, i'd suggest trying to fix it with another timing point of the same bpm

permalink

I have moved it forward -16ms until 06:48:110 - where I put it back to normal and yeah this fits better, although I'm still unsure if this is where it ends. More feedback would be greatly appriciated!!

07:33:230 - You can place another new timing point here to reset the nightcore cymbal.

permalink

Do you mind just putting all of these in one post?

permalink

I can do that, sure.

09:55:310 - I feel like it'd be more intuitive to follow the fading-out kick sounds instead? Those sounds were more noticeable for me

permalink

not really sure? the sounds before this were the ones slowed down into what I mapped, also it's still a slow down so I don't really feel like I should change it

11:32:143 - add a note here for the vocal (?)

permalink

I have the finisher 11:32:023 (52) - already and there's a jump in sv + it's a nice break between these long chains

11:33:943 - 11:34:183
kdkdk would emphasize the repeating vocal sound here. you could also consider buffing it to 1/6 to be more similar its later appearances, such as at 11:35:863 and 11:38:143

permalink

Did this in my big clean up of the map. There's a lot of cases already using kdkdk where it stands out a bit more, so I just decided to use dons here. And I reverted the points you mentioned down to 1/4

permalink
Marked as resolved by Skidooskei

11:39:223 - while the current placement of notes isn't particularly wrong per se, it would play a bit better IMO to just do 1/4 on this beat to hit the synth in the background

permalink

yeahhhh I'll make it all 1/4 good idea

permalink

11:39:583 - 11:39:823
maybe put a slider here instead for the super loud static-ish sound in the back?

permalink

already took your suggestion to make this 1/4, and there's actually rhythm in the back so prob not

permalink

11:54:403 - super subjective but this goes hard with nothing here (removing the spinner) to emphasize the drop of the instrumental here

permalink

Idm other opinions but I kinda like it rn and I think the next section is a bit slow for this gap to work, and there are other parts with just nothing that silences work for.

Also 727 wysi

11:55:603 - move this note to 11:55:483? feels like its the only note in this section where the improv is onbeat and not offbeat. same for its future repetitions

permalink

yeah cool, I think I got them all

permalink

12:12:583 - 12:14:023
thoughts on minimizing the improv here? a lot of the instrumental drops here but the density stays pretty similar to before at ~ 11:55:303 - 11:57:223

permalink

Will remove 12:14:803 (240) - but I think the rest is fine, I added an idea since this mod to have more mono 1/4 in the 8-bity parts, but yeah I don't need 12:14:803 (240) - and ur right

permalink
Marked as resolved by Skidooskei

12:15:223 - 12:15:583
i dont really hear anything calling for 3/4 emphasis here (color changes)
maybe make it something like kkdkddk? mirrors the patterns after it so it also looks cool

permalink

idk what you mean by mirrors the patterns but yeah this works

12:20:983 - 12:21:943
maybe make this a bit like the picture to emphasize the instrumental 1/2 a bit more? (timestamp for pic, 12:21:403)

permalink

will do this this goes hard, will make 12:22:183 (325,326,327,328) - kkdd tho to add some variety

permalink
Marked as resolved by Skidooskei

12:28:543 - add note here? looks like you missed it based on the fact you mapped 12:28:783 and 12:28:903

permalink

I think it's quiet enough to be ignored, it also makes it feel a bit messy and the finishers start to lose a bit of emphasis for the stronger sounds

13:31:063 - 13:31:303
ddkdk plays a little more comfortably here. with such a high bpm it would really help

permalink

I still want 13:31:063 (1133) - to be a k and 13:31:303 (1137) - to be a d, so I did kkdkd instead if that's okay, also made 13:31:003 (1132) - a don for playability

permalink
Marked as resolved by Skidooskei

13:48:403 - remove this note? its pretty noticeably a x xxx pattern

permalink

yeah cool, makes it much easier lol

permalink
Marked as resolved by Skidooskei

13:52:363 - note here for the snare?

permalink

yeah okay, using d tho cause K finisher

permalink

14:00:103 - 14:01:063
your improv switches from offbeat (like at 13:58:303 - 13:58:903) to onbeat and feels a little random. maybe make it consistent with the others? connecting a 3plet to the stream at 14:01:063 should be fine

permalink

same with future repetitions

permalink

For the offbeat triples are mapping the synth going 1/1 across this bit, but the mainhand bits are when the synth starts doing 1/2 rhythm, so I thought to acknolwedge that (and spice things up), I could change to mainhand.

I made 14:03:943 - this stuff here kkd instead of kdd on the mainhand to hopefully make this idea a bit more obvious

14:19:304 - unnecessary red line, doesn't even reset nc

permalink

think this was left here from earlier, whoops

permalink
Marked as resolved by Skidooskei

20:39:217 - would make more sense to start kiai from here

permalink

the really heavy drums don't start till a bar later which is why I put it where it is, there's quite a big difference so I thought it'd be funny lol

permalink
Marked as resolved by Skidooskei

22:17:097 - could be dkkk to fit the dk dk pattern, and it sounds like there are three buzz sounds starting from second note too

permalink

have changed this bit a lot cause having an early 1/6 wasn't really consistent with the rest of the map, but yeah see if it's any better now ig

permalink
Marked as resolved by Skidooskei

29:23:979 - be careful with this, circle is 1ms before the line that is 1.0x (not intentional), I would resnap the note to the timing point and make it 0.8x

yep
