I want to keep rhythm the same here, so I will adjust the patterning a bit to introduce reverse 1/2 sliders every 2 bars. I hope this is sufficient 🙏. Resolving when updated
00:23:114 (1,2,3,4,1,2) - You are still using the same rhythm at the start of a new musical phrase. I understand that you might want to stay in sync with the background melody (perhaps this is a deliberate choice, even a feature of this difficulty?), but this breaks two things: 1) It goes against basic rhythm theory by not following the most obvious track. 2) It weakens the feeling of the musical phrase. Players may find it strange.
You could consider this:
00:23:114 (1,2,1,2) - follow the new track, 00:25:296 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - use notes instead of sliders to follow the new track, 00:29:660 (1,2,3,4,1) - switch track
perhaps this is a deliberate choice, even a feature of this difficulty?
This was the intention for this and higher diffs, but I did adjust spacing here and there to account for the changes in melody. I actually perceive the repetitive melody as the main melody, and the new melodies as the background melodies, so this is why I decided to make rhythm/pattern the way it is.
Nevertheless, you raise a good point that it's not enough variation, so I will do more changes:
I hope this is a sufficient compromise 🙏. Resolving when updated
Updated, the rhythm and patterns at the start of new musical phrases should be more distinct now.
I wanted to reflect the build-up in intensity and bring attention to the background melody similarly done in 00:23:114 (1,2,3,4) so I gave this a larger spacing. I will reduce the spacing down from 2.6x to 2.2x to reduce the excessiveness of the spacing
01:56:763 (2,1) - maybe lower the spacing here between these two because it's currently higher than 01:55:672 (2,1) - and i believe it would be cooler if spacing gradually got lower between the pairs of sliders
either that, or increase spacing between 01:55:672 (2,1) - up to you :p
Moving tail and head a bit more outward to make path a bit more obvious, couldnt keep the original position with the changes so I ctrl+g'd and changed up ending pattern a bit to flow a bit better
I do agree in a conventional sense, but I want to keep NC for colorhax purposes.
I want to keep the 02:23:122 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,1,2) combo mostly dark purple, and I think keeping 02:24:213 (1) NC makes sense, so I have the extra NC at 02:24:758 (1) to go back to dark purple for colorhax. I like to end my diffs with the dark purple (or right before the final yellow slider), so this is the best I can come up with for now.
02:25:031 (1) - Would remove NC on this.
Otherwise it could be confusing to play considering you are using only two combo colours and the NC just killed the followpoints on top of that.
