New schedule:

What changed:
France and Philippines' match time is moved to 13:30 25/02 UTC.
Macau and Hong Kong A's match time is moved later by one hour.
Yuzeyun
Though this might be the inappropriate place for this, I'd like to say this openly instead of PMing you, lepi :

Though I've been a referee for one match only, and was quite a fun experience, I'd like to retire from TWC Staff to mind my own business. I'm deeply sorry for this, but the latest events have forced me to retire from that and Taiko in general. The real reasons won't be said anyways, personal choice. You can ban me if that is your choice.

I wish to everyone but 4 people good luck. The 4 people KNOW who they are.
Acrith
It's sad, that people leaving us.

I can only wish you good luck with.. everything, _gezo_, but I don't expect what you'll read it.

Just going to point out that if you are leaving because of some body else or other people, then don't.
Zekira
Well shit.
anongos
Schedule change:

What changed: Not really times, but the referee spots that Gezo held are now replaced with Numbers and Gonzvlo.

@Gezo: I don't know what happened, and I'm sorry to hear that you wish to leave, but I respect your decision.

Nobody really knows why he's quitting, just another ragequit, like he did several times...

lepidopodus wrote:

Yeah, but sadly he don't really care about TWC and stuff, it's just attention-whoring, saying "Hey, I'm here" D: .

</drama>
Cyclohexane
I'm ready to replace Gezo as a referee, if need be. I don't regularly check this topic though, so if you would like me to replace him, feel free to sent me a forum PM.

I hope this doesn't cause any commotion or trouble inside the tournament, that's the last thing I'd like to hear.

Good luck to the staff and the players.
Locher
Hm Hm Hm
It seems like a lot of people are retiring / have thought of retiring lately.
I hope this TWC won't have a bad aftertaste concerning this matter ...
Loctav
There is no need for extra referees.
In worst case, I take over all slots. This quit might or might not have reasons. But this is not our concern (even
If the way of announcement seems inappropriate for me)

And to stop this drama, everyone should focus on training the maps.

Tomorrow 1-3 begins. Finally.
anongos
Like Loctav said, we don't really need extra referees. If need be, me, Loctav, and Wmfchris can cover for some of the matches.

Bad news, as i'm going to leave tomorrow till 3rd of Match for a trip to Prague, i actually can't be online for the next match against Spain.
Actually i haven't discussed with anyone about postponing the match, so if it's a matter to do it i'll just let Pheon, happy30 and Jak64 to play as main team, with Pheon as vice-captain.
Really sorry for that, but it can't be helped :/

Because it's group stage.

Brief information about Knock-out stage

- All #1, #2 in each group will be ascended, while only 4 of 6 #3 teams will be ascended and all #4 in each group will be dropped.
- Opponents will be decided randomly within certain range.
- 4 #1 teams will meet #3 teams in round of 16, while 2 #1 teams will meet #2 teams. 4 #2 teams will have matches with each other.
- I'll make bracelets less likely to meet teams with same groups, but since we had only 6 groups you can meet teams from same groups in certain situation, but at least not in round or 16.

You should record the chooseing of the matches for elimination.
Like a video of you pulling names out of a hat, like they did for OWC.

Several reasons:

1. I tried that in #1 TWC but everyone ignored that, no one was came though I was ready for streaming. NO ONE. *cries*

2. Internet sucks here. Somehow doing something with foreign sites are incredibly slow while connection with Korean sites are ok. (I guess something is done with internet connections in this dorm?) Due to that, really low resolution with low frame rate which is really hard to recognize something, lol. There is also Korean streaming site but you guys can't access those sites cause every Korean sites requires KSSN when you want to register. (Will be prohibited to gather those things soon, though.)

3. I don't want to show myself to osu guys cause I'm so ugly ;_;

4. Not that good for proceeding TWC with this fast speed, maybe.

I said random but it is actually 'limited random'. I'm still thinking about how I can make good bracelets with those basic laws.

EDIT:
Oh and I swear I didn't do anything about 'random' results, I used random grouping program in previous TWC and functions from Numbers in Mac OS X to group in this TWC. (To evade putting teams from same country in the same group, simple random grouping procedure does not work well so I didn't used the program that I used before in this TWC.)
wmfchris
[serious]of course it's "limited random" because all are consequence of the situation at the moment before. Under Maxwell's demon theory if the computational power is large enough we already know what's the draw result is loooool "True random" is limited to quantum random action only[/serious]

well I prefer letting two teams from the same country not to meet in 1/16 stage as well. This is somehow applied in different elimination tournaments like football Champions league lol
Topic Starter
lepidopodus
^@: I'll consider that, though in that case the number of cases will be quite limited...
Makar
Eh I think it should be completely random instead of limited random (limited meaning #1s vs #3s and #2s vs #2s)

I was going to bring this up as a reason, but I see lepi already put it up.

In my defense, I didn't even know that the last TWC had a drawing until you mentioned it sometime after the drawing.

Anyway, huge schedule change:

What changed:
FR/US B match time switched to 20:00 3/3 UTC
CN/KR B and JP A/TW B switched time slots
MY/US A match time switched to 04:00 3/4 UTC
Referee assignments have switched
Gonzvlo
Hey guys

I was wondering if it's possible to change the time of this match. Perhaps, 1h or 30mins later? D:
anongos
That was the preferred time of FR and US B actually, so I don't think I can change it.
What I can do is switch referee assignments again. If you're fine with taking a match during midnight, I can swap places with you. You'd be taking the CA/JP B match instead. Or you can ask someone else to switch with you.

And just for future reference, while it's not likely for me to miss posts here, it's best to pm me these things anyway.

No. I'm going by Date/Month, not Month/Date (even though Month/Date is the standard here in the US).

For clarity's sake, with the next schedules, I'll just write out the month.
